Feb 4, 2010Does the eris have a forward facing camera? on the top left it looks like a camera. i guess it could be a led diode, i dont think ive ever seen it light up though. looks like a camera. anyone know wtf it is?

Sep 16, 2010Most of the people I keep in touch with live hours away, and while phone calls definitely have their place most of the time I just like the convenience of texting.The problem is that Android phones seem to have a difficult time deleting more than a couple hundred or so texts at a time.I experienced this with my Hero actually ended up getting rid of it after a few months because each time I tried to delete more than 100 texts or so it would freeze, reboot, and then RESEND random old texts to people.A dozen at a time.People were starting to think I was losing my mind, and I ended up getting rid of the phone.(sort of a funny problem now that I look back on it)At least the Evo hasn't sent random texts to people yet.It just throws a temper tantrum and completely refuses to delete large threads.

Sep 28, 2010I have a Droid 2 that is almost three weeks old.Where are received texts? I got one while in a meeting, glanced at it and then put my phone to sleep. Later I realized that I have no texts except for those that I sent or responded to. Is there a way to get my texts back? Oct 14, 2010I was texting my brother tonight and he said I kept sending the same text over and over.Up to 6 times.The problem is when he let me know this,I had already deleted our entire conversation.Anybody else have this problem?I haven't had a lot of problems with my phone until the past two months.

Dec 18, 2009I just got the droid about a week ago and I am not getting all of my texts.I get score updates from ESPN, and they aren't getting through to my Droid.It seems like any message from a non-10-digit number don't come in (like 75743 or something like that).I called Verizon and they were clueless.I also don't know how many other texts I am not getting.I sure don't get as many as I did with the iPhone, so I am sure the problem extends beyond non-10-digit numbers.I was also told by a friend that they are getting the same text twice from me.Any suggestions?

Nov 10, 2010I'm trying to mass send texts (about 100 at a time) but as soon as I press send - every single one of them fails to send. It just fails and all of the messages just sit there in the 'undelivered messages' section. When I press 'retry sending all' it all just fails immediately, without even trying. I don't care if takes one hour, two hours, 12 hours, a whole day to send em all, just send them texts!

Oct 9, 2010Basically my Wildifre won't send texts, yet it will receive them fine! It says "unable to send message after several attempts" Even though I have full reception, can make & receive calls fine, and can receive texts, just can't always send texts (although they sometimes do send!) My text settings are all correct, so it's not that. Anyone have similar problem??? It's really annoying me big time that a "smartphone" can't even send a simple bloody text!

May 4, 2010Anyone managed to get their Legend to vibrate when it receives a txt? A pretty essential feature as I keep missing them and have to poll the phone repeatedly (due to the 'green light only blinks for 5 minutes' feature which I really hope gets fixed soon). Yes, I have the "Received Messages/Vibrate" ticked but it never does. Calls, haptic feedback on keyboard etc work fine so it's not a problem with the vibrate hardware.

May 6, 2014I got my wife a G2 to replace her iPhone 5c about 6 weeks ago. I shut off imessage and she had been getting texts from iPhone users just fine until a week ago. All of the sudden people worth iPhones were not able to send her texts anymore because they were going as imessages. These are people who had been successfully texting her for over a month after the switch.

Nov 17, 2009Currently I have over 2700 texts in one thread and as a result the messages app is seriously slow. But when I try to delete them the messages app crashes/freezes and even after killing the task it does not sort itself so I am forced to reboot.How the hell do I delete these!? Is there another way or do I need to wait for the next software update that I care about? The lag is the least of the issues, I believe this is also causing SMS Popup to crash (now uninstalled) but I really love this app.

Oct 21, 2010Had my desire for about 4 months now, tres happy with it, one of the first apps i downloaded to use instead of the stock was Handcent for SMS.Today I take it out to send a text and the conversation screen is blank!Can't find texts anywhere - including if I go into the traditional 'messaging'.And then to top it off, I send a text to my sister and it goes to my wife!? Despite the conversation window showing the correct name and profile photo.Anyone else had any issues with Handcent? Reading other posts, I now know that its also a battery drainer, so I'll be uninstalling it, but I'd like me messages back first!
