Great forum for answers on my new phone. Quick and probably dumb question- I can't figure out how to forward texts on this phone? I know you have to be able to?? Can someone point me to where the "forward" is?

I forward alot of texts for work and I want to get rid of the forward before the forwarded texts. i know I can manually delete it but Ide like to not have to. any way anyone knows how? I hope so. thanks in advance.

I also know that blocking an incoming phone call is not possible yet and is an issue Google devs are working on.In the app i'm coding, I easily manage to detect an incoming phone call by listening to the phone state. But I cant make the phone NOT ring and NOT show the incoming phone call screen.I' ve tried to cut off the network via a ServiceState object, but that doesn't seem to work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHere's another one in my quest for customization using the multimedia dock. Unfortunately, I have sub-par VZ service in many parts of my house. I'm considering the Wireless Extender ($249 - ouch), but until I make that call, I've been manually forwarding my cell phone to my home phone line.
Question: would there be a way to set up a script or functionality that would tell the Droid to forward to home when in dock and un-forward when taken out of the dock. Might be kinda cool. I think one of the mobile companies used to sell a dock that did just this in the early 2000s.
I have browsed through user support and user's guide on the Xperia X10, but could not find anything to guide me! Could someone please advice on how to forward either SMS or MMS messages received to other recipients?

View 2 Replies View Related I am a longtime iPhone user and I have recently been given a Samsung Galaxy S3 by my employer. In the past I have just used my old Android phone for Tethering with FoxFi so I can have web access at work on my laptop. I literally never made any phone calls with it for over 2 years. I have had the calls forwarded from my Verizon Android phone to my ATT iPhone since the day I got it.
Currently I have a (PERSONAL) iPhone 4 on AT&T with a 3G connection and I have this (WORK CELL) Samsung Galaxy 3 on Verizon 4G LTE.
I would like the ability to fully test out the S3 and leave the iPhone at home if I so choose. Call forwarding either way is not a problem at all. I can forward my iPhone personal calls to my work cell and I can forward my work cell calls to my iPhone (Currently this is how I have it). Call forwarding works great but I am looking for a way to handle text messages in a similar manner.
I would like to have the ability to send and receive text messages using my personal number from my Android Phone. I have Google Voice installed on both phones but I cant seem to get it to work at all or I am not setting it up correctly. I would not mind having texts show up on both devices or in my Gmail inbox. There has to be a way to do this. That way if I leave either phone at home it not a big deal I don't have to carry two phones. Nobody ever texts my work number, my only texts received are to my personal cell.
Basically, i use my personal cell phone for work and personal use, i have multiple exchange accts that keep things sorted and seperated.
recently though i have been getting more and more business calls to my cell phone, during and outside of normal business hours.
what im looking for is an app that will take a selective group of contacts/phone numbers/CID strings and if it is a "business" call then forward it to a specific phone number (external number, the actual business line).
I have seen apps on the market and around that will forward calls to voicemail if they match certain filters, but i cant really seem to find an app that will forward to an external number. Any way I could accomplish this?
For some reason my EVO has decided to stop accepting any incoming calls, texts, or voice mails. I was only able to receive these messages when I was able to get a call to connect and I got a flood of voice mails and texts as if it hadn't been connected to the network the entire time. It also does this thing where it doesn't connect the call when I dial someone. Instead of connecting and seeing the time duration for the call appear, it instead takes forever to connect and just says dialing for a really long time. It was doing it last night, and then this morning it seemed to be normal again, but now it's doing it again. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I won't have time to go to sprint until Monday and this is really irritating me.

Just this morning i turned my phone off when i get to work to charge it and turn it on...and i show i sent a text to my gf at 12:09pm...its now only 9:25AM. WTF? Its always force closing as well. What the heck is going on?

I cant for the life of me find under the edit button in contacts to change from phone to google, if I create a new contact I can but with my existing contacts it wont let me. I went to the verizon store and all they said was to just take out battery, ive done that a couple times and its gotten worse. Does anyone know a way to fix it. Is it a setting or is my phone just messed up?

I've had it for 2 1/2+ months and it has done it twice, leading me to believe that it happens every month, regularly, because it always happens at the beginning of the month. The last time it happened, I brought it to the Verizon store but all they do is blame the consumer for any faults with software because Android is open source. Is there a way to get my texts back and how can I solve this problem? Is there an app that deletes text messages every month or so because of a hidden setting? Is there a solution to this problem without reformatting (I have my contacts, calendar, and a bunch of other stuff on my phone and also apps and I don't wanna delete anything).

View 12 Replies View RelatedLately, not all the time, whenever I send a text, I watch the reception bar at the top and it is not dropping to 1x to send the text. In addition, some of my friends have not been receiving my texts when I send them.
Are these two things related? I swear I've seen it before where it drops to 1x to send the text, and then goes back to 3G..
I guess it's also possible that the phone is dropping to 1x, but the bar up top isn't updating?
Is it possible to continue sending a text message after I press the red lock key? I keep sending messages and putting my phone in my pocket and then twenty minutes later will open my phone and realize it never sent. Is there any way to press send and then be able to immediately press the red button to lock the screen?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Droid never vibrates, ever. No matter if it is set to vibrate only, silent, or max sound. It doesn't vibrate for calls, texts or for anything. I set vibrate on for both, calls and texts - and it never vibrates. I temporarily installed other apps to see if the phone is physically able to vibrate, and it is. I am not sure if I am missing an option, or if there is a software malfunction.
