HTC EVO 4G :: Way To Disable Lock Function
Jun 5, 2010Is there anyway from disabling the lock function so I don't have to keep pressing the power button to unllock it? I see a setting for the screen timeout but that's it.

General :: ICS - Disable Function Reject Call With Message
Aug 1, 2012I'm having trouble using this feature when I run or I walk down the street. I would like to disable it. Is there a way to mod the call screen to disable the function "reject call with message". I tried applications like Ultimate Caller ID or Big Caller ID but I am not satisfied with the result...
I want to keep the ICS screen ans just remove the function... I'm rooted and modify apk don't afraid me.

Nov 4, 2013Is there a way to disable the auto screen locking function when I close my cover?
I bought a couple of cheap case covers from China and as far as I understand they might not have the right material which causes the IR to be reflected instead of being absorbed.
I don't mind it locking really, aside from maybe a bigger battery consumage, since I often hear it locking itself while in my pocket.
No, my main problem is, with some of the covers, if I flip the front cover side to the back so I can hold the phone easily, it locks.
For example, the 2 I have on me, the leather one locks if I flip it over, the plastic one doesn't.
Really I'd like to disable the function alltogether, I prefer locking it myself together with the trusty 30s idle lock.
How do I disable auto locking when closing case cover.

Jul 27, 2010I really like the pattern unlock that android has, but I don't like having to both slide to unlock, then pattern unlock. Any way to disable the first slide lock only? I've searched, an found a few old threads but nothing helpful. Applications like nolock, disable both lock screens.

Sep 28, 2010Not sure where to post this but i am gonna do it here and hopefully it is helpfull to someone.Just watched this video over on the dailymobile.se website and some guy goes through how he has customised his nexus with different apps and there is one for diabling the lock screen and using the power button to wake it up without having to swipe to unlock.He uses an app called "No Lock" and i am now using it and it saves me valuable finger swipeing time.How to customize your Android phone with different apps (video)Also there are a load of other customisation he has done but he goes through that aswell and names all his apps etc.

Nov 16, 2013After having an IPhone 4s for two years i decided to switch to a galaxy s4 to see what it was like. My first touch screen device was a cheap rubbish MID rocketchip tablet running android 1.7. Every since then and seeing my friend using his HTC wildfire and how laggy it is in things like scrolling i always though iphone was better until i got the S4, realising that with the latest android scrolling was smooth (although can still be laggy at times but rarely) and with all its customization etc i don't like iphones as much as i did but don't completely dislike them just don't think i'd go back to one. That said i do miss some of the apps that i can't get on android.
Anyway whilst i love the galaxy s4 i found what you could say in a design flaw but it's also a good design at the same time. Samsung as positioned the lock/power button on the right side of the phone. Which ok is more natural when holding the phone and other phones are the same too but i've noticed a problem although it could just be me. Whenever i play a game or use any app in landscape mode i've found myself accidently pressing the lock button so i have to make sure that i haven't placed my finger on top of it as where it's placed is natural for my fingers to hold the phone in landscape mode. As i say might just be me that can't hold it properly. Anyway i was wondering if there is a way i could disable the power button in landscape mode so that if i press it, it won't do anything. I was thinking of using tasker but doesn't seem to be away to disable buttons.
General :: Disable Lock Pattern Is Disabled?
Jan 5, 2014Turns out I have an Xperia P with Android 4.1.2 and i've been using the lock pattern feature for a while... Today I wanted to disable it but it seems like I can't do that, the "None" option is disabled and I can't disable it. (See attached screenshot)

Just makes one more thing to do to bring it up from sleeping.Guess I will see what happens with accidental screen touches.From what I see you'd have to hit the on/off button(unlikely) or the home page button(more likely) to get it to come out of resting. Screen touches do not wake it.
