1. Is there a way to disable the automatic screen locking and allow me to just press the on/off switch to lock? There are many cases where I don't want the screen to lock automatically - eg. listening to music. But then when I put the phone in my pocket, case, whatever, I'd like to press a button to lock it.
I have a rooted samsung galaxy ace plus with GB 2.3.6, and i wanted to know how can you delete/disable/uninstall the default android lock screen(app), and set a 3rd party app as default lock screen app, i had tw launcher but switched to ADWLauncher ex currently and was trying to avoid installing another app like nolock etc
View 1 Replies View Related1) If your phone is waking up repeatedly upon pressing lock, and you don't want to restart: HOLD LOCK & PRESS THE ROUND MIDDLE BUTTON!
2) Home++ Menu Restarting on each press, MANAGE APPLICATIONS+FORCEKILL. If you are feeling lazy and don't want to go into the Manage Apps Menu, simply bring up and 'return button' the menu 5 times, it'll lock up, and kill it from there.
Is there anyway to disable the initial swipe lock screen and replace with the pattern lock? Seems silly to have a double lock.....the pattern seems much better to me.
View 13 Replies View RelatedTried rooting so I started off flashing r8 of bh_man's 1.6 rom. Went through the setup, odin turned blue to pass and I let the phone run past the android system and then the screen turned off.
Thing about it is that the phone is still being detected by the computer and odin. It's like my phone is on a screen lock but not responding to when I push unlock.
Ive tried every custom rom and each one does the same. I try to go back to stock and most of the time the program closes, when it doesn't I try to flash it and it goes through the process but goes on forever. One time I let the timer go on for 2 hours and it was still on 5/9 completed.
For some reason now, each time I manually lock the phone (button on side) and then unlock the SD card has apparently be disconnected during the locked time, because I get the notification that it is connecting when coming out of unlock. Of course with the issues the phone has with SD cards, this causes it to fail about 90% of the time.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI really like the pattern unlock that android has, but I don't like having to both slide to unlock, then pattern unlock. Any way to disable the first slide lock only? I've searched, an found a few old threads but nothing helpful. Applications like nolock, disable both lock screens.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI believe it's called boot looping? It originally happened after I rooted my phone (original 1.5 software) following these directions: How To: Root the Samsung Behold 2 | The Unlockr. After that, I deleted DinerDash2, Midnight Bowling, Where's Waldo, IM, Talk, Amazon MP3, MyFaves, Telenav, HotSpot, Audio Postcard, Postcard.apk. When I tried to reboot my phone, I was stuck on the Samsung screen. I finally got the screen to go away, but a message repeatedly popped up saying the TwLauncher closed unexpectedly. Then I tried using ODIN and installing BH_Man's factory v1.6
http://androidforums.com/all-things-root-behold-2/63612-port-behold-ii-factory-1-6-a.html.
I used the adb commands to delete the bloatware again. Restarted the phone and got the same problem. (Except I was stuck on the android screen.) I tried to install the factory v1.6 again, then immediately did a factory restore and then rebooted my screen once it loaded. Everything seemed okay. I uninstalled the stock games and rebooted again. It seemed to be working. When I uninstalled more apps (including CubeLauncher) and restarted the phone. What do I do? Did I uninstall something I am not supposed to? I think I might try installing the 1.6 No Twiz Kernel. I am sick of these "TwLauncher closed unexpectedly" messages.
I have my Behold rooted and was running open home just fine. I saw a lot of people having better performance running GDE, so, I uninstalled open home and that was when all hell broke loose. TWLauncher keeps crashing the phone and I cannot get the phone to a home screen. I tried the recovery mode, but nothing is working. I can't bring it up in adb because I can't get to the settings of the phone to set it up to be seen.

View 7 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to disable that stupid button? I hate the location of it. Also, is there some kind of slide-to-unlock feature for these phones? I know we have the slide security pad thing, but I was wondering more along the lines of the iPhone and Droid... slide a button across the screen to unlock.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm not using BeholdII's Sms program, but Handscent instead. This means that when I click the '5 new notifications' thing at the top, it doesn't go away, because it doesn't see me as having opened messaging. How can I disable this and just use the HS notifications?

View 4 Replies View RelatedHow do you do it? IMHO it's one big pain in the xxx! Just makes one more thing to do to bring it up from sleeping.Guess I will see what happens with accidental screen touches. From what I see you'd have to hit the on/off button(unlikely) or the home page button(more likely) to get it to come out of resting. Screen touches do not wake it.
