I have the latest Fresh ROM with the lockscreen from the updater. My problem is that today when I used the stock (beautiful widgets)? alarm clock, I could not turn it off.Is there a solution for this?

Are there any good alarm applications for the X10i?
Basically I use my phone as an alarm to get up for work. My old Nokia N96 I could set the alarm and then switch the phone off at night and the alarm would still go off on time. This does not seem to be the case with the X10i. It doesn't even go off when the phones in airplane mode which is poor. I just don't want to have to leave my phone on overnight in case it rings and i wake up.
Are there any good alarm apps that allows you to turn the phone off and the alarm would still ring at 6.30 for work?
I did the 2.1 root upgrade and adding the nexus goodies, and removing the htc lock screen by following the instructions in the sticky. After doing this when I set an alarm I am unable to turn it off. I suspect it has to do with removing the htc lock screen because it used to be that I would have buttons on the lockscreen to snooze or turn off the alarm. Now the only way to stop an alarm is to turn off the phone and turn it back on. How can I fix this?
View 9 Replies View RelatedWasn't sure which of the many DINC areas to put this in, but hopefully someone knows what I am talking about. I am one of those classic lazy Americans that have to hit the snooze button when the alarm goes off. However, the DINC only lets you snooze twice then just goes at it until you force close the clock with ATK (only way I've found). This is good for me, as it forces me to get up to go through the menus and turn it off and such. But is that the only way to stop the alarm or am I missing something?

I was wondering if it is possible to set an alarm and turn the phone off. Then when it is time for the alarm to go off, the phone turns on and everything is good again. I've had this function with a lot of my older phones, but I can't seem to find hte option with my Captivate. I'm pretty sure it doesn't do it automatically because I just tried it, making an alarm for 2 minutes later, turning off the phone and waiting.

I'm writing a small application and having a bit of trouble setting the alarm volume. I've tried a couple of different methods, but neither actually seem to change the alarm volume.
My goal, is to mute all alarms under certain conditions. I have no issue checking the conditions, just actually changing the volume. I'm currently using the AudioManager class to make the changes .
setStreamVolume(int streamType, int index, int flags)
using STREAM_ALARM for the streamType. Using FLAG_SHOW_UI, it displays a toast showing that the volume was set properly, but if and alarm goes off, it still plays at full volume.I also tried
setStreamMute(int streamType, boolean state)
but again, the alarms go off as if nothing changed.
EDIT: I tested the same method with the media volume and it works perfectly. This leads me to believe the setting is being applied just as it should, but alarms simply aren't obeying the setting. This may have something to do with the fact that each alarm has it's own volume control. Still trying to find a way to mute them.
Had a problem with my alarm clock this morning. It went off @ one of the alarm times I have (although I could swear it wasn't checked to be on for today). But then I could not shut it off. Tried hitting nearly ever button both physical and virtual and the damned alarm wouldn't stop. I eventually just shut it off and turned it back on and that did the trick. Did I miss a step in how to turn alarm off?

Does the standard alarm work (I used Alarmed & my regular alarm when I'm really tired and I stagger the alarms so that at least 1 will wake me up with stock alarm, i can't turn it off without shutting off the phone). Is Facebook contacts synced with contacts again, or is like the 1.5 Hero. Does it sync ALL your google contacts (2.1 Hero) or does it allow you to choose which group to sync (1.5 Hero). Those are my issues with the Hero since the upgrade, if these problems are not on the EVO, then to the EVO I go.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis has happened twice now. My alarm goes off in the morning then I get a text as I'm reaching for the phone. The text pop up (Handcent) causes the alarm to minimize or go to the background but it won't silence it. I cleared the text then tried to silence the alarm but it was closed. I opened it again, unchecked it , checked it again, and closed it and still was unable to silcence it. Had to shut my phone off to shut it up.

I have to turn off the phone completely to make it stop. I use Launcher Pro, Widget locker and stock alarm. Unfortunately none of the buttons work, nothing appears on the screen and I don't know how to switch the damn thing off - which makes alarm clock unusable. But I really need alarm clock, can't live without it.

When turning it off, it would alert you it would be turning back on at your alarm time to wake you and would do exactly that. Stock app doesn't do that. I've searched and gone through market apps descriptions looking for this function. At the least I want the alarm to go off when the phones turned off. I don't need it to notify me when its turning on, when its shutting down.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI tried several alarm clocks on my droid, and they all seem to have a problem. if I set alarms for 6:30, 6:41, and 6:52 am. Each with a different sound. If i snooze alarm 1, alarm 2/3 never goes off. i thought all 3 would be seperate, but it seems only 1 can be active at a time. unless im doing something wrong. this happens on the default alarm clock and, better alarm clock.

View 5 Replies View RelatedBasically, something happened, my phone's battery died, and as usual,I just switched in a new battery, turned it on, it went to the splash screen, the glowing S.and then turned off.I tried to charge the phone, that didn't work.I thought the battery might just be dead, so I charged it over night, but nope.After I put a battery in, it does it's usual swoooshhh noise, turns on, S glows, then turns off.Then it won't turn on again until I take out the battery, put it back in, after which I turn on and the same thing again. Just for more information, the screen sticks on the glowing S for a reallllyyy long time, and it doesn't go through the "Turning off" animation anymore either. What's weird is I didn't even do anything at all with it this past week, other than play Angry Birds, call/text some people, and use the alarm on it.No idea what went wrong at all.

Since doing so, I have noticed that the data turns itself on every so often.I normally use the htc widget to turn on/off the mobile data as I don't use it while at work/at home. Occaisionally, I notice that it is switched on and when I try to switch it back off, it restarts itself. I've noticed this on quite a few days now over the last couple of weeks and once it starts doing it, I can't stop it.I can only think it is down to either some app that I have installed or the synch settings, but I have checked for running processes and killed anything that looks like one of my apps.I don't really know what else to do to stop it. Has anyone got any ideas?

and it has been rooted and installed with CWM, last time i know, there was no problem with bluetooth...
so for past 5 days i was searching any possible way to fix bluetooth problem not turning on, but with no luck...what i have done, are...
- reboot [not working]
- factory reset [not working]
- flash other custom rom via cwm [still getting bluetooth not turning on]
- flash stock rom via stock recovery
- flash a raw image [download mode] with HDD RAW COPY then change the correct imei and meid [still the same problem]
after all the above step....only BLUETOOTH not working...here is a log :

I plugged it into a wall charger almost immediately, but since then it has been unable to power on.Now the green light indicator comes on steady, turns off, and then the Motorola symbol comes up and then goes away, and then the green light turns on again.Its been charging for about 45 minutes and I'm starting to get a bit worried. Is this normal or is there something wrong?
View 11 Replies View Relatedsince I have rooted my device (iMiTo AM801 running Android Gingerbread 2.3.1) I'm not anymore able to power off it properly.After pressing for some seconds the power button and after I confirm the message asking if I want to power off the device, it never actually turns off and I need to press the reset button.The problem is that quite often the reset button restart the device! after I start the procedure for normal turn off (pressing the power button for some seconds, and answering the confirmation message) in the background I see a a message appearing just in the bottom toolbar of Android, but I cannot see what is says as the power off message is a modal window.

I usually have to go to WiFi settings and then once I do that it connects to my router. This will keep happening until I restart the phone and then the widget will work another 1-2 times and then I'll have to go into the settings menu until I restart again.
Unrelated: Has anyone else had their 3G dropout today or is it just me? I'm in the northeast.
I am using service class to play the mp3 file using media player object on Android platform, problem is, i am not able to handle the alarm interruption.When any previous set alarm clock reach to it's alarm time it starts to play in parallel with mp3.I want that mp3 should become paused and after alarm it again start to play,same thing should happen with snooze.
