OK, simple problem, my alarm's set (for mon-fri, one of the default schedules) but doesn't go off. I think it went off correctly once but hasn't done so since - good job I'm a light sleeper anyway really.
Anyone experienced a similar issue and found the solution?

I have 3 calendars under my gmail account, but they're all owned by the same account.
I only had one when I initially set up the phone and I added 2 yesterday.
The 2 new ones will not show up in the phone.
Has anyone run into this? I did a google search, but not much for results out there which I find strange.
also, I subscribed to a read only one (canadian holidays) and it was on the phone right away.
So it seems that only ones that I create I cannot get to the phone.
When i am setting up the wallpaper i am unable to get the full wallpaper even though i have taken 200*320 size is there any solution for this

When using bluetooth, it connects fine, makes itself discoverable and pairs up with another phone, but when trying to send files like photos to it it can't find my phone? it says it's 'paired but not connected' with the other device.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm writing a small application and having a bit of trouble setting the alarm volume. I've tried a couple of different methods, but neither actually seem to change the alarm volume.
My goal, is to mute all alarms under certain conditions. I have no issue checking the conditions, just actually changing the volume. I'm currently using the AudioManager class to make the changes .
setStreamVolume(int streamType, int index, int flags)
using STREAM_ALARM for the streamType. Using FLAG_SHOW_UI, it displays a toast showing that the volume was set properly, but if and alarm goes off, it still plays at full volume.I also tried
setStreamMute(int streamType, boolean state)
but again, the alarms go off as if nothing changed.
EDIT: I tested the same method with the media volume and it works perfectly. This leads me to believe the setting is being applied just as it should, but alarms simply aren't obeying the setting. This may have something to do with the fact that each alarm has it's own volume control. Still trying to find a way to mute them.
This has happened twice now. My alarm goes off in the morning then I get a text as I'm reaching for the phone. The text pop up (Handcent) causes the alarm to minimize or go to the background but it won't silence it. I cleared the text then tried to silence the alarm but it was closed. I opened it again, unchecked it , checked it again, and closed it and still was unable to silcence it. Had to shut my phone off to shut it up.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI tried several alarm clocks on my droid, and they all seem to have a problem. if I set alarms for 6:30, 6:41, and 6:52 am. Each with a different sound. If i snooze alarm 1, alarm 2/3 never goes off. i thought all 3 would be seperate, but it seems only 1 can be active at a time. unless im doing something wrong. this happens on the default alarm clock and, better alarm clock.

Then I remembered that being in the UK I had recently taken advantage of changing my email from googlemail to gmail, although I had changed this in my mail on the phone it seemed to upset the marketplace downloads
Changed it back to googlemail and all works fine.
Is anyone experiencing an unresponsive notification bar sometimes? When this happens, I end up opening the weather widget by accident. The only way to clear the notification is to open the corresponding program.
I am not sure what triggers it so I am guessing it happens randomly.
Is anyone else getting random lockups with CM6? Sometimes it locks up in the camera app, sometimes it locks up in a browser, and various other apps. The only remedy is a battery pull. I LOVE CM6 but these random lockups are getting on my nerves,... I'll track the lockups more closely to see if I can find a pattern or something.

It is a little distracting and I was just wondering if anybody else has noticed this.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have noticed on some threads that people were having issues with their widgets and Swype on the Cyanogen Froyo ROM. I was having this issue as well. Whenever I rebooted my phone I would have to make Swype my default keyboard again, and reinstall certain widgets. But I think I have found a solution. I noticed that Swype and some of these widgets had been stored on the SD card instead of on the phone. So I went into my settings and into application management and moved them over to the phone. That seemed to solve the issue. Give it a try and see if that fixes your problem, if you were having it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs anyone having issues with HTC Sync and the phone not being able to find it on the computer? I've used it before, but today it doesn't want to find it on my computer. I uninstalled sync from the computer, and reinstalled it, even tried a hard reset on my phone, still no go.
Any ideas? Or am I just an idiot and doing something wrong?
I want to keep the Hero in my back pocket, replacing another phone. I carry another larger (no jokes) device in my front pocket.
The screen can turned on and unlocked (not pattern lock) by pressing the "menu" key twice. Or, "End/Power" and then "menu". In my back pocket, my @$$ apparently pushes on these buttons randomly and sometimes turn on the device.
I do not wish to use pattern lock, it's too many steps. I am used to S2U2 on WM and it's fast.
Are there any applications that can modify the behavior of the buttons or the turn on characteristic of Hero? It would be nice to disable the menu key from unlocking the screen.
I'm having an issue with the calendar no longer sending me notifications of my events. At the beginning of the quarter (~25 September), it had no problems informing me of my events. Sometime around October however, it ceased to do this and I fear it may be affecting some of the conditions of my other application, Locale. Has anyone else had this problem, or know a solution?
View 1 Replies View Relatedi am using sense 2.2 rom on my rooted htc hero with no problems on my 16gb microsdhc card. however when i used a kingston 32gb microsdhc i just purchased i can't seem to get it to work. i have formatted the sd card on my computer then i partitioned the card the same way i did with my 16gb card, then i partitioned ext2 to ext3 but when i restarted my phone with the 32gb card inside the screen was stuck on the htc logo. can anybody help please?
View 15 Replies View RelatedI read that the flip clock is a battery drainer, so I figured I'd switch it out. I like the HTC weather, but I sorta want a digital clock.
HTC's alarm settings etc. are great, I'd like to keep those setting as the clocks that are on the market I'm guessing won't have as many features if they're free.
But can I swap my HTC clock widget yet still have HTC run my alarm? I'm not really sure if I can do this or not, but I didn't want to download/install a clock over the stock one and need to get it back, so I was wondering if anyone had done this before.
I like to power the phone down completely at night. Problem is the alarm will not work unless in standby mode, and I use my phone as my alarm.

This morning, although my alarm was set was 7:30 am, it didn't go off. Not at all! No sign of it. Luckily i made it into work on time. But this is really annoying. As far as i remember i didn't have anything else open (i heard that having messages or emails open may interfere with the alarm)
Sometimes the clock will go weird, and the time won't change unless I touch the phone. This morning I woke up at half 8, I went to look at the time on my phone and it said 04:36, then after a couple of seconds updated to the actual time of half 8. As a result of this, my alarm set to half 6 didn't go off. I don't have any task killer apps, my phone was not turned off, or on silent.

I forgot all about it... Until this morning when it did the same again.
