Sep 12, 2010Is there any way to tweak Swype so, for example, if I type a "7" and hit space, it will just leave a plain old "7" and not "720p"? It's kind of annoying to have to choose "7" from a drop down list when that's the only thing I typed.

Oct 20, 2010New EVO user here,mostly so far so good.I got the EVO so I could use Skype for my frequent overseas calls.Skype downloaded without a hitch and works great for voice calls.But I cannot figure out how to use Skype to send text messages from the EVO.I have added the phone# I wish to text, but I cannot find any option for texting to a number.

Aug 31, 2010I recently took my phone from Froyo and loaded back the stock 2.1 build.. This was yesterday and the phone has been fine But about an hour ago 3G no longer connects and I cant do any text messages. Any idea what could be wrong. I am re flashing 2.1 back on the phone again right now to see if that makes a difference..

Dec 31, 2012I'm looking to upgrade my phone. Aside from normal phone use my main goal is to get a phone that will send a text message to a very large group of people all at once. My current phone Samsung Epic 4g Touch will do this but i have to create the message and then from the address box go to the group and one by one touch in each member (almost 200 in the group). I have my groups already but i would like to just add the whole group all at once. I don't care about the responses being in the same thread or anything else, I just want to add the group all at once to the address box.

Aug 19, 2010Quick setup: Was running Fresh 2.3.3, wiped and flashed Cynogen 6.0 froyo
Was having problem with texting.. (see my other thread)
Went back to Fresh 2.3.3
I am now trying Cynogens again... Wiped everything, re-flashed.
Weirdness is now happening. Many of the apps that I previously downloaded are now on the Cynogen rom (and shouldn't be). I go into Market and it shows that I am downloading things and when I cancel it FC's the Market. How do I completely erase everything and start over?

Nov 5, 2009I just had a quick question on the Samsung Moment. I'm using the default messaging app (I've also used handcent) it feels the same. I've noticed that while texting sometimes it may lag a bit. Has anybody noticed this? Is there anyway to fix this?

Nov 1, 2010I can text anyone outside my area code, but when I try it with anyone in my area code I get a message that says to use the proper 10 digit phone number. I understand what that means, and have the 10 digit numbers programed for all my contacts, but when I hit on a contact and hit the text button only the 7 digit number comes up. That works fine with voice calls, but not with texting. I've been through my phone 20 times trying to find a way to make it use a 10 digit number for texting, can't find it.

Jun 17, 2010I'm definitely diggin' Swype on my Evo, however I've got a question that hopefully has a simple answer. My phone used to go to sleep after a minute, which is what I like/want. Since I installed the Swype Beta today, it won't. I have to go and tap my power button to make it sleep. Is there a work around for this?

I tried registering for a download at the swype website but i never got an email offering me it. Just in case i can't get it, are there any other good alternatives?
