I just had a quick question on the Samsung Moment. I'm using the default messaging app (I've also used handcent) it feels the same. I've noticed that while texting sometimes it may lag a bit. Has anybody noticed this? Is there anyway to fix this?

anyone else's phone recently get ridiculously slow while texting? it seems my phone's perfomance has gone to crap. my orientation from horizontal to vertical pauses, and I can't send text after text. it seems like my phone has to stop and think. it used to be really fast, but recently has gotten really bad.
I only have quick settings and ATK for apps, so I don't think it's an app causing problems. could it be the whole data exhange drops? Changing from 1X to EVDO and back and forth?
I am new at texting and would like to know if there is a program were you can text to all phones brom you pc rather than just to your own carrier. I have found sprint.com's texting program but will only allow you to text to sprint customers. What I am looking for is a site that allows texting to and provider.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the contacts set up in my starred groups already but can't figure out how to text the contacts in a specific group (e.g. Family, CoWorkers, Friends) from my stock messenger. I can do it using the handcent app and although I have the notification setting off on the stock messenger the message still makes its way to the stock messenger and handcent which I believe would take up twice as much memory on my phone causing it to lagg. if I am wrong in assuming this and what I can do to fix this whether it be the correct way in sending a message to a group or deleting the stock messaging app, etc...

Dropped calls mainly, sometimes 4-6 times during one conversation.My main irritation right now is that if I'm in the text screen or any messaging screen for that matter and I get a call my phone screen goes black and I can't answer it. It won't even let me silence the ringer.I love all of the things that this phone does, the whole android deal is awesome but lately I am seriously missing my blackberry.Will rooting help ANY of these issues or is that a waste of time?I have already watched the tutorials and written down the steps, just such a noob I'm scared. View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently, i got myself an HTC Wildfire. It's great, except one thing. Some of the games lags, but the lag gets less and less the more i play the game. It does'nt disappear totally but it gets smaller.
Its not the processors because i tested the games on an Xperia X10 Mini and they worked perfectly fine.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI can text anyone outside my area code, but when I try it with anyone in my area code I get a message that says to use the proper 10 digit phone number. I understand what that means, and have the 10 digit numbers programed for all my contacts, but when I hit on a contact and hit the text button only the 7 digit number comes up. That works fine with voice calls, but not with texting. I've been through my phone 20 times trying to find a way to make it use a 10 digit number for texting, can't find it.

Also I found problems ( no widgets or apps running behind) looking from System pannel monitoring is off
- Auto Brightness option doesn't work after restart (stays same)
- when Orientation option is selected the battery consumption is more or much more (maybe calculation)
- when the Bluetooth wifi and gps options are seleceted (means open) battery consuption or calculation is less than close...
- Bluetooth stereo has problems... buttons play pause not working stable
- Wifi doesn't connect after disconnected for a while... (screen policy set to when screen turns off)
Also advanced launcher is buggy ..
if drakaz can install adw launcher .... I am very happy ( also we can able to update it from market) becouse if i use it or other launchers dial pad contact list comes later or take time...
Android keybord don't have Turkish characters like Ş,Ğ, I, ş, ğ, ı if it's possible it is very good for us to have...
So I just really noticed that the moment's screen never goes black when you are on the phone using a bluetooth headset.

Like with the Hero we had to install Handcent and disable the standard sms to stop it from draining the battery. Is there anything like that you recommend to be done?

I would love to try out the Samsung Moment, but don't have the $$ to just go out and buy one.My hero comes with all it had when new, plus I have an extra battery for it I will add to the deal. This hero has only been used for about a week, and while using it, it "lived" in my Blackberry Tour holster to give it maximum protection. The only ones I do get are my work ones and that's connected directly to the Exchange server. I have a total of 4 emails being sent to my phone, My gmail, Hotmail, and 2 from my website exile-designs.com. I have the settings to check every 15 minutes but I never get any. Anyone have any idea's on this? I know the settings are right for sure on my Hotmail because I can pull that one up and see my old email's sitting in my inbox. The other 3 accounts should all be fine as well.

I tried rooting it today by following what seemed to be fairly simple instructions but when I went to do the recovery part, I got this message..."Samsung PST MFC Application has stopped working". I tried going thru the whole process again while phone was still plugged in but I kept getting same msg. When I unplugged it and tried turning it on, all I would get was a pic of a phone, a question mark, and a computer. I had to hard boot it. Once I did that, it was on the 1.5 version. I had to take it to the fix it shop to get the upgrade and my contacts back. I'm very scared to even try this again myself but I want it rooted so bad! I want to be able to use it as a modem for my laptop.

It seems to be a phone-side problem, because it is only rectified when I reboot the phone, but not the PC. The last time it happened was after an incoming call disrupted my PDANet connection. When I hung up, the USB icon was gone, and I had to reboot.

If I go ahead and reset to the factory settings with the CL14 update still be on my phone or do I need to redo that part again? Resetting is about the only thing I can think of or taking it into the store.
Does anyone know how to fix this? It'll come on and just stay at the Samsung logo screen. It's not frozen because the logo is glowing on and off. But it never gets past that screen!
