Since upgrading to FroYo, the stock youtube app doesn't work correctly. Most of the time I can't hear any sound at all no matter what setting the media volume is set to. The times I can hear sound it isn't audible and very very quiet. Does anyone else have this problem?

So does the youtube app work correctly on the phone now if at all that its rooted to 2.1? I may just root to kill that lil bugger out of spite.

The error "There is a problem with network response" I've had since the beginning aswell only now force closes on it self.

a) Speaker doesn't work in call (very weak). works well in ringtones etc.
b) Scrolling contacts by letter doesn't work.
Other than that this is a leap forward, especially with the overclock options!
Both bugs, as well as others, fixed in 1.6.3.1 update!
I custom the BaseAdapter to show image array with full-screen mode. I want the user can flick the images so I use the gallery class.When a image displays on the screen, a correlative sentence should be showed as well. The issue is the position param in getView function jump abnormally, especially when I flick into more one picture at a time. Therefore the string is showed incorrectly, I don't know why the image still displays normally. Here is my code...

Then I hit home and it loads what was on it a minute after that, and again. I have to hit home (Facebook home) about 10 times before it gets up to date. Its pretty annoying.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have Flashed the LeeDrOiD v2.2b ROM and when accessing the Stock browser it will randomly crash, it's a strange crash because normally a crash will mean that you will exit from the browser and next time it will load to the homepage, on mine though it will sort of crash but then load the page I was on, even if it wasn't my homepage, if I had any tabs open I would also lose all of those, which is how I know it's crashing.
This isn't specific to this version of the ROM though as I've had this since v1.4, when I asked in the XDA forums they said it might be to do with re-installing my backed up data, basically I went from Android 2.1 to 2.2 when I Flashed the ROM and they said that backing up data when crossing over Android versions could cause problems.
What I have done this time though is not backup anything, no SMS, no system settings, nothing! I deleted everything off my SD Card, cleared the cache, then cleared the Dalvik cache, did a factory reset, Flashed the ROM and then Flashed the radio but still this problem exists, I haven't backed up anything this time, although when I logged into the Market with my Google account it synced my contacts back onto my phone, as they're linked to my Google account somehow.
This is really starting to annoy me now but I can't figure out for the life of me why it happens, I've tried replicating it to narrow down the cause but I can make it happen one time doing it a certain way but then doing it that way again it'll be fine.
Has anyone got any ideas of how I can overcome this problem or how to Flash the ROM so that my browser will work correctly, this browser problem is the only problem I have with the ROM, apart from that it is superb.
Any help very much appreciated!
EDIT: Also, the browser can crash whether I'm connected to a data plan/Wi-Fi or not!
I have tested on the simulator motorola provides and on various hardware (Droid, Nexus One, G1,wildfire) but can't reproduce anything. Wondering if anyone else has had any issues.

I have it set to Silent mode and have turned media volume to zero (I use an MP3 song for my ring, so I figured doing both would be safer). I have set the rule to activate "Meal" from 18:00 to 19:00. I set this up over the weekend, but I got a call tonight (and it rang) at about 6:50 (18:50). Am I missing something in my settings? I have the full version, not the trial.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a ListView, which has a TextView and a RadioGroup with 4 RadioButtons as Children in each row. Now i can select a RadioButton in each row. But if i scroll the ListView, my Selection is gone or it does not show correctly. For example, i choose the RadioButton A in the first row, if i scroll through the ListView and then go back to the first row again, either none of the RadioButtons in the RadioGroup is checked or RadioButton C is checked instead of A.How can i fix this Problem? I have tried 7 days already, but still i find no solution.

I want to store the user input (the text in the EditText) to the Arrray. E.g, if i type some text in the EditText in the first row of the ListView, i want the text to be stored in Array[0]. But how can i detect to which row the EditText belongs to? I can detect the possition of the row if the row contains a RadioGroup, but not a EditText. I am on the current .37 update.I downloaded dragonbox from the play store, and it loads but nothing on the screen responds to touch. Is there a way I can force this app to work on the Nabi? Or is this an issue with the software? (I'd be willing to get to the bones, rid the Monarch UI, etc. to have better functionality of the Nabi).

Of the apps I've downloaded, only a few of them have worked. Of those few that work, some don't work right. Has anyone had problems with these apps crashing on them, or just not working correctly?
- Nice Battery (see description at bottom of: My Ultimate CLIQ settings (so far))
- WeatherBug (kept showing the wrong location, crashed when trying to change location)
- Snake - doesn't work just says its "paused"
- RingDroid - crashes when I select the "Facebook Pop" button
- Layar - screen is rotated 90 degrees at all times
There have been others, but usually I just uninstall them right after discovering it doesn't work right.
I am trying to get a profile setup for my wifi but that doesnt seems to work very correctly

Now i did this thinking if in my area using scanned cells plus in range of my wifi----> it should turn on
And if the above criteria doesnt match then it should go off

I was also thinking when i reach back home phone should say welcome home or something ( was trying just for fun) but that doesnt work properly either i was using it with my wifi profile but the it keeps on reading the message few times i was thinking everytime phone changes the cell it reads the message to me.
I've had an HTC Desire on Orange in the UK for about 6 weeks and it is having persistent problem. Firstly despite having a strong 4-bar out of 4 signal, online services and the internet do not work at all when a 3G signal is being received (e.g. news, weather, all widgets, internet, email etc).Calls and texts do work however with a 3G signal.But when a 3g+ signal (HSDPA) is being received, all internet services as above work fine.However, when a 3+ signal is being received, the phone does not make or receive calls or text messages, and often fails to send texts. Calls I make immediately shut down (bleep + �call ended�), and incoming calls from other people go straight to answerphone. Also often when turning the data connection on/off, it freezes and has to be rebooted, and turning airplane setting on and off does not fix the problem.
I have also tried the different network settings (GSM, WCDMA, auto, etc). �GSM� sends and receives calls and texts but doesn�t work (or is incredibly slow) with internet, and �auto� and �WCDMA only� show the problems as above.I don't think this is a network/coverage issues as, as I have seen many people reporting these same issues on other networks and in other parts of the UK, and I have read that other people are having to manually turn off HSDPA to be able to make calls (using an app?). Even if I can stop HSDPA from connecting to make sure the phone works, I still can�t use the internet at all on 3g � even GSM works better!
Finally, when I connect to a bluetooth device (e.g. car and headphones) the phone will connect briefly, and then randomly disconnect. I have also seen this issue reported elsewhere.I very much like the phone and don't want to get rid of it, but these problems are making the phone unuseable.Also I don't know if I should be contacting HTC or Orange about this. Will the upcoming Android 2.2 fix these problems?Anyone know how to fix this or if I need a new handset? Are there any apps that can help? Also does the Nexus One have these problems and are they fixed by Froyo?
So I made a discovery - my dialpad doesn't work during a call. Even if I bring it up via the softkeys, the numbers don't register a tap...anyone. else have this issue or is it just my phone?

The installed languages are asian languages (+English), so I would like to change the firmware to a European version, since I would like to have Hungarian language on the phone (especially but not only because I would like to be able to type messages with Swype). My plan is to change to this one: N7000XXLA6, N7000OXXLA1
The question: The new firmware belongs to a different location than the old one.
Anyone found a good lock screen replacement? Ive tried LockBot and Lock 2.0 neither seemed to work correctly on the X.
View 18 Replies View RelatedI've created an app that plays kids videos from YouTube that I've found to be appropriate for children (hasn't been published yet). I've currently searched and found 60+ videos that would be ok and the list would certainly increase over time.
The app doesn't use the YouTube player so that the child cannot find inappropriate videos after watching their selection. Using the back button will only get them back to the app and when the video is done playing it will also return to the app. The app wouldn't have ads either. So, it is a little safer way to turn a kid loose allowing them to watch videos.
As said above, my Nexus 7 doesn't automatically hide the buttons after a while when watching videos.

Isn't there any developer, who know's how to track an apps interconnections with other apps. what the youtube app depends on, to run flawlessly.Also it would be really interesting to know, how to track that? What app needs what to work properly
I thing is, that my time in recovery mode is different... is there a possibillity to change the time in recovery? But is this really important ?It worked before without a specific recovery time.
For instance: when I click on a video on cnn.com, the phone goes through the motions of downloading it and then I get a message: This content cannot play on this device.
When I go to the YouTube app and click on any video displayed, the message is Cannot play video. Sorry, this video cannot be played. The videos that I took with my phone and are stored on my SD are playing OK.
I'm having a problem with the stock YouTube app. It keeps force closing on me. It was working fine yesterday, it just stop working today. I tried restarting my phone, but it still force closes on me.
