I've been using the stock calendar widget for my exchange calendar and noticed that the date on the top of the widget doesn't update each day to the current date. I have to delete the widget and set it up again for it to show the current date.

Has anyones calendar widget stop working. Mine just shows a box that says No upcoming calendar events. I have all sorts of calendar events and it doesn't even show todays date.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else noticed that when they turn WiFi on through the widget (either android or motorola one) it doesn't always actually turn on wireless?
I usually have to go to WiFi settings and then once I do that it connects to my router. This will keep happening until I restart the phone and then the widget will work another 1-2 times and then I'll have to go into the settings menu until I restart again.
Unrelated: Has anyone else had their 3G dropout today or is it just me? I'm in the northeast.
This seems like an obvious requirement for a calendar widget, but I can't get it actually show me today's events. For a few days leading up to an event, it'll inform me when it's coming, but when it's here, nada.
So is there any way to actually make the widget show the current day's events?
I've just updated to 2.2 and noticed my calendar widget for pure calendar won't update. It force closes when I try to open the google calendar by tapping on the widget. Does anyone know a fix or an alternate calendar that will work?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've now had and used my Samsung Moment for a full month now, and I have to say this is the best phone I have ever used.
I carry multiple smartphones on me, usually a Blackberry of some sort, Palm Treos / Centros, iPhone, and now my Samsung Moment. While all the smartphones are really good, the Samsung Moment has been really great.
Despite all the complaints you read here, I have only had a couple of minor annoyances:
1. The Google Calendar widget doesn't default to the current day when you click on it. I have accidentally entered appointments for "today" when I realize a bit later that it was on another day that I had scrolled to previously. I hope there will be a setting to always display the current day in the future.
2. I use Astrid to sync my to do list with Remember The Milk. Anytime I add a new task if I'm using the physical keyboard, and slide it shut and go to the portrait mode for the virtual keyboard, somehow my text is wiped clean and I have to start from scratch again.
The battery life is excellent. Based on my moderate use, I easily get 2-3 days out of my phone, which is as good as my Palm Centro or my Blackberries.So glad I have this phone, can't wait for future updates though to play with.
I tried calling *228 and then pushed 2 and it tells me the phone can't be programmed.I have also tried option 1.Am I doing something wrong?Does anyone else have this issue?

But use it in the afternoon...anywhere from 7 to 9 satellites are found.After the time stamp issue with the camera, I'm wondering if there's a similar issue with the GPS.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm having a problem with the clock/weather widget on my Hero. I have it set to Current City and I noticed the other day that the weather wasn't updating. ( I live in Long Beach, CA) It was stuck on one weather. I especially noticed when it still said partly sunny at 11pm. It doesn't work even if i try to manually update.
I thought it was just the current city function that was having trouble registering but when I go to other cities nearby it updates fine. And when I specifically set it to Long Beach, CA, it was still stuck and not updating.
Anyone else having this problem? Is there something wrong with the weather equipment in Long Beach?
Tasker does not seem to function unless I use the motorola control panel and turn on bluetooth, wifi, and gps. If I shut these off via the control panel then tasker does not turn them on at the appointed times and events.Which begs the question, is tasker REALLY turning them off? or are the icons just going away in the notification bar (because they still show as on in the control panel widget)Has anyone else noticed this issue?

a) Speaker doesn't work in call (very weak). works well in ringtones etc.
b) Scrolling contacts by letter doesn't work.
Other than that this is a leap forward, especially with the overclock options!
Both bugs, as well as others, fixed in 1.6.3.1 update!
Have many of you had the issue that only the earpiece speaker or earphones work, and the handsfree loudspeaker doesn't kick in, unless you're making a call and choose handsfree? This is particularly annoying when listening to music and you want it through the louder speaker, or if you set an alarm, or receiving calls...... View 26 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else noticed the Amazon MP3 App (the one that comes preinstalled with the phone) doesn't work if Wifi is turned on? I've tried it on two wifi networks (home and work) and I can't purchase or download if it's on.
I don't know if it matters, but both networks use WPA2. One is PSK and the other uses RADIUS authentication.
Has anyone else experienced this and if so does anyone know a fix?
I have suspected this on every ROM I have run (stock 2.1, all tranquility roms, and now rubix 0.3 (which I love except the single unexpected shutdown of the phone once).
My screen just doesn't turn off no matter what the settings/display/screen timeout is set to (30 sec, 1 min...)
I test it by turning on the phone, sliding to unlock and then staring at my homescreen with a stopwatch. It can be 5-10 minutes before it turns off.
I have interrogated with spareparts and the phone does have a high percentage of "running" from bluetooth and wifi, but isn't the screen supposed to shut off even with those background processes running??
I don't have anything special installed for power management, just stock stuff.
I went to the market and found some power managers but I don't have any confidence a third party app will solve this problem.
Just wondering if anyone else runs into this problem.... Every so often, I go to type in a message, either on the pop up from handcent, or in the actual program, and no matter what I hit, the keyboard doesn't type anything. I can switch inputs from Swype to Android keyboard and usually it doesnt do anything (though sometimes it starts working again). Sometimes it fixes itself if I leave it alone for a few minutes, but other times it needs a battery pull to fix. It's not a huge deal as it doesn't happen every time i use the phone, but definitely something I wish didn't happen

Of the apps I've downloaded, only a few of them have worked. Of those few that work, some don't work right. Has anyone had problems with these apps crashing on them, or just not working correctly?
- Nice Battery (see description at bottom of: My Ultimate CLIQ settings (so far))
- WeatherBug (kept showing the wrong location, crashed when trying to change location)
- Snake - doesn't work just says its "paused"
- RingDroid - crashes when I select the "Facebook Pop" button
- Layar - screen is rotated 90 degrees at all times
There have been others, but usually I just uninstall them right after discovering it doesn't work right.
The stock corporate calendar widget really sucks. Any better ones? Ive tried Pure, Laik, CalWidget
