when i am talking to a friend, i do get call waiting alerts,however when i recieve a new text there is no sound or vibration, even though the phone will be on either vibration or normal mode. i couldnt find any apps to solve this either.

I use HandecentSMS to text and I can send and recieve, but when I do recieve them I can only read in the quick reply screen and the notification bar, but it won't show up in my conversation screen so it looks like I am talking to myself. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it still won't work properly.

I would like to know whether there is any way to get miscalls notification with sound. I know that the LED will blink to keep me notified but I need a notification tone. I will explain what I need.When I have a missed call on my phone I should be notified with a notification tone at specific intervals till I attend to the notification.Is there any default way on Xperia to do this or is there any software available for this. I have tried Miss Call Application but does not work on Xperia X10 Mini Pro [No Notification sound for miscall other features work fine].
View 11 Replies View Relatedi was just wondering if anybody knew when AUS was recieving the updates from 1.6, i took the stab at gettng rid of my iphone and instead of going with iphone 4 went with the android x10... but seems to be pretty selective on the updates. just asking myself did i get into android to quickly before it was stablised and sorted? as for iphones barely anybody got the 2g but soon as they released the 3g it was great at the time.

The software is all up to date, ive reset the alert tone in the notification settings, and im afraid thats all my knowledge used up. Ringtone sound is fine and it also vibrates for that.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI got my HTC Hero a couple of days ago and I can't help but getting a bit annoyed by the fact that whenever I receive a message my phone gives off the double vibrate buzz, followed by most often just a second of silence before the message sound 'pling' goes off. The pause between the vibration buzz seems a bit random and I have experienced it pausing for up to like 10 seconds before a sound plays. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an Xperia X10a with android 2.1. I do not like the 2 piece earbud and mic cable that came with the phone. I have tried a Klipsch Image s2m with the phone and there is significant sound distortion. I've heard that this phone is incompatible with third party hands free headsets that have a mic included. The phone works fine with just standard headphones like my Bang & Olufsen A8's but if i try to use a headset that has a mic it does not work. I'd rather not use the cable that comes with the phone in conjunction with standard headphones because it is bulky and heavy. I'd like to be able to use something similar to the Klipsch Image s2m to watch videos and answer calls. Does anyone in here have this phone and using an earbud/mic headset without problems? If so, can you list the model and make of the headset you are using?
Also I've found that since the upgrade to 2.1, when you use a picture as wallpaper the quality is inferior. It's almost like using a super small picture and expanding it too much. The pictures I use are high resolution 2560X1600. The same pictures I used previously with android 1.6 and had no problems at all using as wallpaper. Almost seems like the picture resizing software takes the pic and crops it but saves it in low quality. I have used photoshop to resize the pic smaller and closer to the resolution of the phone and it seems to be better but still not like it used to be in 1.6.
I have a terrible feeling that i got the wrong phone when choosing the xperia x10... So to make it a tiny bit better..can someone PLEASEE help me, how can i turn off the sound of the keyboard while texting....i tried everything but i just cannot find it.

I ask this, because most phones will only play 5.1 with a headset on, but they will state that. Within the last month, I used the Captivate and it stated it only played 5.1 through a headset.
So, what is the quality of the music we are listening to?
Although the maps work perfect, I just cannot seem to get voice prompts from the phone. I have selected the language, but there is no sound.

What if this was a car or any other equipment, Shouldn't the iron heads at sony recall this product. i feel cheated by buying this phone. at the end of the day this is a premium piece of equipment brought at a premium price and not a prototype.
why is my x10 mini pro sound quality not good with the headphone which was bundled with the phone? when i tried the walkman headphone, it was way better!

e.g. let's say i had sent out a text stating; "Hi John, I will be at yours next week - you can email me at berty@bassett.com if you need me to bring anything"
so a few days later I'd start a new text. By the time I'd wrote "Hi" the system would offer me the next word as "John" - it had kind of learned what it thought I might want to say next. This was incredibly useful when entering email addresses into form pages.
Now, when I type "Hi", it offers stupid suggestions like "Hit, High, Hill" and other completely unrelated junk.
If I enable predictive texts, it auto fixes words that don't need auto fixing. I sent a text to my sister saying "lolzalot" and by the time I realised what had gone on, it had instead replaced my word with "locally"
Why is this new way of doing things so poor compared to the old 1.6 way? Or at least, how can I get it back to being like it should be.
