The Sync button in Green in the top right hand corner of the Sync program does not respond to mouse click.
Have installed HTC Sync 3.0, uninstalled, reinstalled it - from the HTC website, removed other old mobile applications ie Nokia. I have changed the USB ports etc etc. It has worked once, when I first installed the software and not since then. Also I have USB debugging activated and the phone defaulted connection type: HTC SYNC. Help please as this issue has been active now since I got the Desire 3 weeks ago.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI need some guidence please. I've been on a mission to sync my contacts to my PC and have failed. I understand the GMail Sync is there for me also, well i see i have apparently established an account when i first got the phone. The settings show it does sync with Google (show's last sync time stamp etc) but how do i view my account if i don't remember sign-in/password? I think i would need to start a new one (GMail Account) and this time save the log-in data. Two questions:
1. Can i retrieve from my phone the original Gmail info that is currently there?
2. If i need to create a new account; how to change it in the phone
In my search for contact back-ups i stumbled upon the Microsoft My Phone, has anyone had any experience with this?
I've set up an email account on my mini pro (NOT gmail or exchange) and it all works fine updating my inbox manually , however, I cant find any settings to automatically retrieve my emails periodically ( as far I can see auto sync refers to gmail or sony sync or road sync for exchange). Is there any way to auto sync an individual email account ?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have noticed for the last month not being able to send a MMS or reply or send gmail email. I think this started after installing Baked Snack 1.7 ROM from Damage Control 3.2 ROM. I have since tried to fix it by installing Fresh 3.3 ROM, radio 2.15.00.09.01 and WIMAX 26023. The error i get when trying to send MMS is generic network failure. All other functions of the phone work normally as far as i know. Anyone else run across an issue like this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI cannot get HTC Sync installed on my WinXP laptop. Based on all the posts I've read I'm not the only one with this problem. None of the posts seemed to have a fix and based on the comments of users who'd contacted HTC, they don't have a fix either. I don't want to beat a dead issue but how am I supposed to sync my phone and computer? Anyone know of another program that I could use in place of HTC Sync?

anyway i can sync without it???
I just bought the Xperia X10, and I've tried to sync it about 10 times. I've updated my contacts onto the SE website, and I'd like to sync them with my phone. It seems to send 2 items, then the sync shuts down and says 'failed'. I'm doing it via wi-fi, not using the 3G network, does that make a difference?

I'v tried this over 100 times I swear..I have tried turning Wifi on and off, Sync on and off, removed Facebook app, rebooting the phone, changing the password of my Facebook account and signing in on a desktop PC and deleting "Samsung Mobile" from Application Settings.. Unfortunatly no avail. I even tried setting up sync with brothers account. Same problem.
It looks like several people having tales woe with HTC Sync issues. I finally got HTC Sync working 2 nights ago and synced my contacts with no problems. Last night thought I'd sync. again and also try my calendar Phone didn't find HTC Sync until I re-installed HTC sync. It worked fine, but then after a 3rd sync the PC and phone lost each other and didn't re-establish a link. I'm used to a Windows Mobile PDA that simply works - no messing around. I use Outlook 2003, or at least a version that rules out using the free Google tools, if HTC Sync is this flaky I feel forced to buy something like SyncMyCal and go via Google for contacts/calendars. It obviously works, but I am doing something that breaks the link? Running ActiveSync, having Outlook running etc?

But I got an error said that No applications can perform this action. My android sdk is cupcake1.5, and I have already set up my gmail acount in Email application. Anyone knows why? If I set the type as "*/*"(sendIntent.setType("*/ *");), it can launch the Email activity but with no attachment.

Alrite sure, so I just put in my credentials and it fails.

After waiting for a while the phone was still not responding then I forced to shut down and turned it on again. Okay I again edited the same text and tap to choose receivers. Good grief! NO CONTACTS! I first tried to sync Gmail contacts back to my Sony Xperia, however when I logged in to Gmail and it was the same! NO CONTACTS!
Long story short, I finally found Myjad Android Contact Recovery which seems to be useful because I want simply the contacts. So any example of trying successfully restoring lost contacts with this program?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am new to the whole android scene and just got my G1 and love it so far. Quick question though: I do not have a data plan therefore my emails are not constantly syncing and such. I was wondering if there is an application that would make my wifi turn on at a set time and for a set length of time in order to fetch and sync and then turn off. This would be very useful especially in the morning right before I wake up so that when I first pick up my G1 in the morning the new emails have been synced.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have setup my gmail properly(gmail app), but for some reason it does not want to fetch my mail or if it does it does 20 mins later or so. Anyone else having this problem and i have hard reset and checked all settings for data sync. I have not seen this problem so i am thinking it a software problem. I just want to know if anyone has setup using gmail and is getting mail pushed to them right away. Also i know its not push mail but it suppose to come kinda close.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm having some issues with email syncing on my Hero. I like the HTC email app and widget, so I set up the Mail app to sync to my Gmail account via exchange (for the push functionality). Well, it does not work very well and sometimes not at all.
Here's some symptoms:
- If new emails do somehow make it to my phone, they are marked unread. I read them and they are then marked read. Then after about a minute, the phone syncs again, and they are then marked unread all over again. It's a continuous cycle until...
- The mail that does make it to my phone is sometimes randomly deleted. I verified this by logging into gmail from my computer and messages that were on my phone are now in the trash folder.
- Most mail does not even make it to my phone.
It started out working just fine for about 6 hours or so and then the problems began. I've tried deleting the account from the phone and starting fresh. It does the same thing even on a fresh account now.
I tried to just use the Gmail app since I was tired of trying to deal with it. The Gmail app does not push either. I have to manually sync it. It will never sync on its own. I have the option checked in data synchronization to sync gmail. Is there some other option I need to check to make sure that it pushes new mail?
All I want is to receive pushed email. I need the instant notification of new mail. I know that it is capable of doing this.
I can delete email from EVO and that also deletes emails from my server But this is what I want to do:
1. Delete email from server using my desktop browser/outlook/etc (not from EVO).
2. Hit refresh on the EVO
3. EVO updates to no longer show messages that I deleted off the server
Does anyone know if this is a possibility? I am using the HTC Email app with Hotmail.
My partner has her Desire set to download/sync emails once a day but, it's downloading them more than that once a day. Is there perhaps another setting we're missing, or another setting which tells it how often to sync? It's set to once a day but, went off twice while we were at her mums yesterday within, id say an hour but, I think it was more like half an hour. It also notified her of more emails later on....I heard it go off about 5am this morning, to be told it was the fifth time it'd done it and so now it was on airplane mode which wasnt convenient. I managed to turn off syncing altogether (facebook gave me an option to change frequency, email didnt so i had to turn it all off in the menu i was in), which isnt convenient as she wants the weather to be updated regularly - Also an option on the list (cant remember what the third one was but, four options in total). So I'm thinking there must be somewhere else which says how frequently to update.

I've searched the forums and found articles but known that gives me a step by step, I'm no amateur, but the N1 doesn't give me the option except for FB, twitter, and active sync, and Gmail. I know it's possible, it just ahs to be! My 2006 Samsung Alias aloud for it, why won't the N1? I even called Goog to ask them and they had no clue.
