HTC EVO 4G :: SD Card Is Connected To PC?

I have a problem with my Evo as that it literally thinks its connected to a PC when it's not.
I had the phone, checked for a Astro Fime Manager for a file I placed on SD Card. When I was checking, most things appeared but when I checked other folders, like the Download folded, nothing showed in there. But I know I had files in that the folder.
I then connected the phone to my PC and without it asking me if I wanted to charge it, sync it, use it for disk drive or internet connection, it went straight to the "Use it as a disk drive" feature. Verified because soon as I plugged it into my computer, the SD Card opened on my PC.
I then clicked to have the phone just "Charging" and now I can see everything on my SD card again.
Do anyone know what this problem could be or how to fix it? I thought it was one of the SD Card Problems that was occurring to some phones. But according to other threads I read, their SD card wasn't even acknowledged by the Evo.
Their SD card stopped working altogether before doing the fix.
Another question about this, will "Debugging" cause this if left on? I had it one for doing the adb stuff when I rooted etc.

one is clearly the folder for my actual sdcard (sdcard2) and the other (sdcard) seems to be where all my apps and downloads go. this creates an unreliability being that the phones sdcard folder isnt connected to my removable card and thus making backups useless.

I am a very proud owner of an EVO and never had a phone that utilizes an SD card. Is making directories as simple as adding a folder when it is connected to the computer? I want to create separate folders ringtones, music, and videos, and thought some of you Android veterans would have the answer.

I want to backup my SD card every time I connect it to a computer.
I want this in case i lose my phone and SD card completely. I have insurance to replace everything but the data can't be bought.
Is there a way to set this up on my computer or through my Droid X?

I just bought the Sony Ericsson Xperia x10 Mini Pro. I have a problem with the memory stick. It says it's connected and everything, but it also says it's empty. Main point being; I can't get the memory stick to work. I use the default memory stick (2GB), the one that came with the phone.

Downloaded FoxFi, and love it. Great when I need to use my laptop. But...
Lately, I've noticed it has been having connection issues. I start the hotspot, my laptop "sees" it. And I can connect (shows "connected" in the wifi window next to "FoxFi" on laptop). But, at the top of the same wifi window, it also shows (under "Currently connected to:"), "No internet access" (or something - connected right now on different wifi network, so I can't get the exact wording). But I hope this is clear.
Why this weird contradiction? One part of the window says I'm connected, the other says I'm not.

I posted this earlier but it disappeared? When the phone is unplugged, it says USB connected, and all of the icons are missing from the top of the homepage (time, signal strength, 3g, etc). The pull down menu is also hard to pull down then is real jerky when it does pull down. When the phone is plugged in, it has the signal for the USB and all the icons return, It also shows a full battery, then tho it is not.

I am trying to use httpclient to hit a http link. For some reason I keep on geting this "socket is not connected" error. I am not sure about the reason for this error. Can any one help? This error also occurs when I start using the car navigation app or whenever I try to forward calls.

I installed gtalk using the .apk cause it wasn't installed by my provider (Orange France)it works fine.BUT, even if I kill it using android Taskiller, it seems to be always connected.

According to my HTC Desire, it's paired with my Nexxus (DrivesleekPro) hands free kit but not connected. When I make a call or have an incoming call the hands-free is ignored and the handset takes over. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I flashed Villon Rom 10 about 2 weeks ago, and today i started noticing that my phone only connects at edge and won't go into 3g mode so super slow Internet. I'm with Fido (Canada) if that makes any difference, i haven't touched my APN settings, I used to connect to 3g all the time... not sure if this started when i rooted or not.

I just connect my evo with my home network, and it finds network ok and everyting. I even see 4 WiFi signal bars on my evo screen, but no Internet connection. I am using my laptop through that WiFi now without any issue. I am using netgear WGR614 g/bwireless router.

I don't want my user to even try downloading something unless they have WiFi connected. However I can only seem to be able to tell if WiFi is enabled, but they could still have a 3G connection.

I can't get my HTC Desire HD to connect to my laptop (Asus - Windows 7)with bluetooth.I get a message on the phoned 'paired but not connected' any ideas what I am doing wrong or how to rectify please? All drivers seem to be up to date though the latest sync patch - Driver_HTC Wildfire_setup_3.0.5481 wont initialise and run.

When I wake/unlock my screen, my phone gives me an erro message "67" that I am not connected...I need to dismiss this error a few times before I can get access to my messages or the internet...doesnt seem to happen when I wake it to receive a call...I will often only have one bar when the screen first comes back on, then 30 sec later i have full bars...Am I have some issues with a network finding delay or something...?this issue is more annoying than anything else, as I have to hit the dismiss button a few times before i can move on with my phone...I have even..unlocked the screen, then waited the 30 sec before doing anything else..but the error comes anyway...tried with and without background data turned on...(btw I am unrooted, and this happend even before i up'd to froyo)

With the latest release of 2.2, Arabic is now supported. Somewhat...
What about connecting the letters? My Evo with 2.2 (rooted) displays arabic fonts, but they are disconnected making it worthless almost when reading online. The Arabic keyboard app helps connect texts when typing, but this is only inputting - displayed Arabic fonts are still disconnected.
I've done some digging around and I'm still unable to find a reliable way to get Arabic fonts to display correctly.
I would really like my whole UI localized into Arabic, and according to Arabic Android, this shouldn't be hard once Arabic is supported (which it is partly, now). https://sites.google.com/a/ut.utm.edu/arabic-android/android-native-arabic-support

I tryed connecting my EVO to my TV. When i connect it to the TV the EVO freezes. When i unplug the cable, the phone reboots and then works again. Looks like its a know issue. BTW i have the HDMI cable from Sprint.

i've conected my htc tattoo on to our home wireles, but i can't get on internett, read email, get on the marked, and so on.in shure im connected, cus the strength is variabe with context of distance from the router. we have linksys.i get on the mobile network, but its so expencive, and i've allredy over dubbled my bill from the usual since chrismas, when i got the phone.please help, with tips, enything. i can't even add aps cus i cant get on the marked.

I have a Bluetooth dock that i use to stream music it works great and has a USB port on it to charge my phone. Though whenever i use the usb port it causes distortion in the music streaming.
So i am looking for a software fix to disable charging on my phone (i have root / s-off).
That way i can schedule the hack to charge the phone when i am not around and stream using battery when i am. (without having to undock my phone all the time).

I've tried everything I can think of. disabling anti-virus and firewall. following HTC's troubleshooting, but nothing seems to work. I have the latest version of HTC sync, and my hero is recognised on USB. i've enabled USB debugging, and managing files on the SD card is not a problem, but HTC Sync just won't recognise that my hero is connected!

My hero has stopped giving me the notification to connect to any pc, it still charges, but I can't access my files. It's been happening for a few months, it worked ok for the first 6 months I had the phone, I've tried numerous PCs and cables, but nothing has worked. I'm currently stuck on v1.5 of Android.I've contacted Orange, but they've just passed me on to HTC, can anyone help before I just give up and buy an iphone?!

My Hero detects a headset even though it's not connected. If I plug in my headphones it switches to headphone mode, but as soon as I disconnect them it switches back to headset mode. (making me unable to use my phone to make phone-calls) Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
