I am trying to get the movie th ehangover on my phone. I bought it on itunes and have aimersoft coverter and tried converting it to M-PEG4 and it kind of halfway worked. I got the audion to play but, the picture was just a black screen.

I recently bought Minecraft, downloaded Angry Birds Go and Injustice Gods Among Us on My Xperia E!
All the above when I start them they only show black screen with sound, I can click on things but no picture.
When Running Injustice Phone says, app is not responding , Wait or Close!
Injustce comes up with loading screen and the superman screen but after that it is a black screen!
I have tried rebooting, reinstalling, clearing all sorts and my phone is upto date!
I am also Running V6 Supercharger wich is awsome and makes my phone lag free!
Just once Minecraft started to work, when I deleted both folders in games > minecraft (On the SD Card).
in some apps (such as VLC, Flash player, the stock video player, etc), there appears to be a small black bar at the bottom where the status bar usually is (even if it's hidden, there's still a black bar). I've had a research and saw a solution app called 'full!screen', however I have no way of rooting the device (It's an Android TV box with no USB output, only input). My current solution is to use MX Player, but it doesn't play 1080p videos properly, so I'd really prefer VLC at this point.

When I ran playing a any video on device, android player starts and I see only black screen. Sound is working properly, but something happens when bites from video are copied to share memory with kernel. I've been a member for a little while, but until now I've been able to just search and find answers to my questions. However, for this issue I can't seem to find anything. I bought a micro HDMI cable, and it works great when I play videos that I have recorded. However, I am not able to play movies and TV shows that I download and play with Rock Player. I've tried a bunch of file formats, and I haven't been able to play any of my own videos without Rock Player. That doesn't really matter to me as it still works fine. But, I would like to be able to plug in the HDMI cable and play a movie on a TV, but when I try, it just plays on the phone screen. So has anyone been able to play their own movies on a TV with the HDMI? Can anyone provide some input here?

View 3 Replies View Relatedso I went to sync my movies using the V Cast Media manager and it told me I could not copy my "digital copy" movies to the phone. Does anyone know how to get them to the phone to play? I can move them over using simple file manager (not the V Cast Media manager), however they still will not play. Anyone else able to get this to work? These are my ligit digital copys of the movie, so I don't know why it will not work.

I could convert my ppt to a movie, but would prefer not to go this route. Also, I am unable to wait until 2013 when Microsoft makes available its Office for android as well as ipad/iphone.
When I plays video recorded on my X10mini, about 5 second at the beginning it displays black. But I can hear the sound.

It's about the ''black screen'' freezing issue encountered by some users. I have had this several times since owning the phone for a few weeks, so it is a recurring issue. Problem: The phone hangs or appears to be shut down or become unresponsive suddenly. Pressing the hardware buttons doesn't help as the phone doesn't react at all. Solution: Take out cover and battery and restart.Observations: From my own observations, it's not actually a shutdown but a major freezing/hanging. Sometimes when it happens, I can still see vague shades of the display at an angle. After leaving the phone for a while in the pocket, the phone comes back to normal again. Not sure if this is true for all users with this problem. Anyway, gathering more feedback to see how prevalent the problem is, to evaluate whether I should take it to the SE service centre, or whether doing so will help at all.
View 3 Replies View Related1) After I make a call, the screen goes black in a matter of seconds. I'm typically using a headset when I notice this. To end the call (or enter numbers in a call menu) I need to press the sleep button to get the screen to light up again. This is a pain in the a$$.I have the screen timeout set for 2 mins.
2) About once or twice a day the home screen will lock where I can't press anything. I need to reboot to fix.
Sometimes when I hit the screen/power button the screen will stay black and i can see the menu bar up top fine but all else is black. If I hit the home key then all lights up fine. Then sometimes Ill hit the button and it works fine.

My screen just went black for no reason!! I had just looked at a text 10 minutes earlier. Felt it vibrate for an incoming text and when i went to check it all i got was a dark/black screen. I could see the lights at the bottom lit and i i could tell the phone was on because i swiped down on the lock screen and felt the home buttons react. I have taken the battery out twice, and still i dont see nothing. Any ideas what this is or how to fix it?
View 18 Replies View RelatedOk this actually happened for the first time last night and it was really scary with a three week old Evo. I was charging my phone and using it when I would recieve messages and such. My screen would time out like it should then I would recieve a text message. I would then unlock the screen, put in my password and the screen would view the go black. I could still hit buttoons although I could not see what I was hitting. I would hit the power button to lock the screen, unlock it again, it would view for a moment then black again. The navigation buttons at the bottom stay lit when the screen blacks out. At this point I dumped alot of different applications I had on my phone along with Home Launchers.
Troubleshooting:
1) Restarted the phone by powering down. (Result) The screen still went black upon restarting.
2) Unpluged phone from charger. (Result) The screen went black for a few times, but once I left it locked for a few minutes it seemed to work fine for a while but eventually back to the black screen.
3) Checked animation and application settings. I had Beautiful widgets weather animation on along with the HTC Sense weather animation on. I uninstalled beautiful widgets. Also I looked under display> animations and my setting was on no animations but the beautiful widgets was displaying before deletion. (Result) It worked for quite some time, as I thought I had fixed it but my phone went to the black non-time-out screen with my phone just sitting on the desk.
4) Check Brightness and screen timeout. My brightness is NEVER on auto and The screen timeout was set to 30 Sec. (Result) I turned the screen timeout to off, and My phone screen has not turned black once. ***Just to add I know for a fact that when my screen was going black that it was not the screen timeout as the navigation keys would stay lit and you could still type things and have access to the screen just without seeing it*****Conclusion*I'm not really sure what the issue is with this, I think that with the settings and certain applications running and confusing the phone that it was trying to do too much and didnt know what to display. For now my phone hasnt done this all day long so maybe it was just a hiccup. I am thinking that having alot of apps that do the same principles running at the same tim eg. Beautiful widget animation and HTC weather animation, along with trying to perform its normal tasks the phone just got confused. I will keep anyone interested posted about this issue, I know this is a big issue listed on Sprints forums. Anyone else have this issue or ideas?
I don't know what this is, but when I looked at my screen today on a white screen, I noticed a very small black dot or speck. At first I thought it was just some dust so I brushed off the screen - but it was still there! I even flet over the area to make sure it wasnt a scratch, no scratch! perfectly smooth on top. I even restarted the phone to see if it was some software display issue. Nothing is making this stupid thing go away! I have never dropped the phone or anything, does anyone have a clue what it is?

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I soft rebooted a few weeks ago, I lost a bunch of settings (like wallpaper, default notification sound, skype). Also the HTC weather widget stopped updating on its own. I can manually update it but it stays at one location, not the one I am at. Used to work fine. Seems like "my location" doesn't update for it. I ahve tried to reboot, reload widget, reset my location settings - no change. My stock web browser also resets at some sites (this one especially). Never had this issue before.Tried to update my profile and the screen just goes black. Stays that way until I hit the back button.

Ill download 2-4 apps and play around with them, keep what I like and uninstall what I dont. Ill read the news, use friend stream and read reddit. I am using wifi, no task killers, froyo, (problem existed with 2.1 as well), but for whatever reason my screen goes black.
The phone is not off, the 4 buttons at the bottom are lit up. Pressing the power button brings the screen back on but sometimes it just dies out to a black screen again. I've done a soft and hard reset both to no avail. Is anyone else having this problem? How many apps can the phone handle at one time?
I have Flickie Wallpapers and went to load it. Screen went black and froze. Had to open the phone, remove the battery and reboot. When I came back, I got a message that my SD card is damaged. Maybe there is an app that can check and possibly repair the card?
View 1 Replies View RelatedCame into work this morning, plugged the phone into the Samsung dock, was trying to get to my gmail when the screen went out. Well, I've had some annoyances with the screen timeout, so I thought nothing of it. Tried pushing the power button. Nothing. Took the phone off the dock. Tried again - nothing. The backlight comes on on the capacitive buttons, but the screen is black. Held down the power button - the power off/airplane/silent toggle comes on. Okay, I thought - maybe it's frozen up. Powered down, got the VZW splash screen. Powered back up, got the whole bootup animation. After the VZW splash screen, screen goes black and I'm right back in the same place again. I've also tried this process with removing the battery. Same thing happens. Seems to linger at the Verizon splash screen longer than I remember, too, on bootup. About 20 seconds. So to recap, here I am: The backlight on the capacitive buttons is on (and not dimming, btw). If I hold down power, I get the power off menu. Otherwise, the screen is black, and not responding to any button presses. I'm running Launcher Pro, otherwise stock/not rooted. Need help - don't have time to go wait at the vzw store for an hour today.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI opened this app (battery booster, can't post link because I am new) after downloading it excited to hoping it was better then a previous one I was trying that seemed to do next to nothing.I saw the brightness button and hit it. It showed 11%. I was like oh I thought I had this all the way down.so I use the scroller to take it all the way down assuming 0% meant that it was the lowest it could possible dim the screen.well it sure is a battery saver considering I can't even see my screen as its completely BLACK
1. Why would you even allow something like this in a app.
2. Please help me fix it.
