Any power-point viewers capable of playing videos? I'm pretty close to trading in my Android for an Apple given that there is no viewer that I have been able to find that supports videos.
I could convert my ppt to a movie, but would prefer not to go this route. Also, I am unable to wait until 2013 when Microsoft makes available its Office for android as well as ipad/iphone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had this problem ever since installed then uninstalled avast and the antitheft bit that sometimes youtube won't play videos.The app shows the videos available and I can search but when you click to play all you get is the spinning circle.
It doesn't happen often and a restart of phone always fixed it before but now that's not working.Cleared cache etc but nothings working. What can cause this and how to sort it?
Its a stock rooted gb rom and only happened when avasts hidden app didn't uninstall after getting superuser rights and I had to freeze the hidden app then uninstall it with titanium backup. It did say (avast) something about doing something to nand.
I have this issue that randomly occurs either after watching so many videos or my phone just being on after so much time that videos will stop playing, the first second of a video will play and then it stops, this occurs for youtube videos or videos locally on my phone. This issue can be resolved by doing a reboot but then will just occur again.
I have a Droid Razr MAXX and it is rooted running liquid smooth.
A samsung S4 mini has started turns off its screen when playing videos.

That's an MKV file, I also had videos I took on my iPhone that I moved to the Galaxy, and those were MOV format, and none of them work. When I plug the phone into my computer and go to my SD card and play them off of there on my computer, it seems just fine, so I don't know, what could the problem be?
I have a Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3, with a 64GB Micro SD card. I would like to play back videos I have stored on my SD card; however none of the videoplayers I've tried will do it - they all say the file cannot be played. The videos all play fine when stored locally, so I know there is no issue with the files themselves or the transfer process of getting them onto the SD card. Currently, if I want to watch a video, I have to use the My Files app to navigate to the file on the SD card and move it to the internal storage. This works, but its clunky and not very nice. Is this a bug feature of 4.2.2, or of my handset in general?

I've been a member for a little while, but until now I've been able to just search and find answers to my questions. However, for this issue I can't seem to find anything. I bought a micro HDMI cable, and it works great when I play videos that I have recorded. However, I am not able to play movies and TV shows that I download and play with Rock Player. I've tried a bunch of file formats, and I haven't been able to play any of my own videos without Rock Player. That doesn't really matter to me as it still works fine. But, I would like to be able to plug in the HDMI cable and play a movie on a TV, but when I try, it just plays on the phone screen. So has anyone been able to play their own movies on a TV with the HDMI? Can anyone provide some input here?

View 3 Replies View Relatedso I went to sync my movies using the V Cast Media manager and it told me I could not copy my "digital copy" movies to the phone. Does anyone know how to get them to the phone to play? I can move them over using simple file manager (not the V Cast Media manager), however they still will not play. Anyone else able to get this to work? These are my ligit digital copys of the movie, so I don't know why it will not work.

I am aware of one method where one converts your .ppt file into .pdf and can draw on it directly with ezpdf reader.
However, it would be nice to be able to draw on the powerpoints natively.
Any application which supports this on android?
(For the record, this app will be used on a Galaxy Note (me) and sideloaded onto a Kindle Fire (girlfriend)). We haven't rooted the KF yet but would consider doing so to get that functionality. (I know sideloading doesn't require root but not all applications seem to work).
The GNote has an active digitizer but the Kindle Fire will be using a capacitive stylus, so we will see about accurately.
Specifically, my girlfriend will be editing powerpoint lectures for Biochem, so she needs to be able to draw structures, circle things etc.
I remember taking the class and being quite envious of classmates doing the same with their ipads... they seemed to have no problem doing these types of basic things with a capacitive stylus.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI need something along the lines of ipad's keynote + airplay so that powerpoint presentations with notes can be stored and displayed via upnp/dlna from my tablet on our presentation screen...I don't always have time to load the powerpoints to the PC and make the small format changes that always seem to be required when you copy a ppt file to another computer and since the pc has both xbmc and windows media center and the screen has a apple TV something should be doable. If this already exist..I have been wearing out search xda and Google. I need to see thumbnails of my slides and see my notes on the tablet and wireless display my slides on the screen.

The issue is that when I put an mp4 on my Evo, it will show up as a black screen with only the audio playing. Those were with larger files, approximately 1.6gb, and 2.3gb. I did get a a smaller file (about 20mb) to play, although the audio was off.

When I click on it to play, it comes up Cannot Play Video - Sorry, this video cannot be played. When I look at the details it has Type : Video/mp4 Am I doing something stupidly wrong? Also is there an easy piece of software that can copy DVDs into a format my Desire will understand. I'm after an ease of use rather than cheap bit of software.

I was looking forward to being able to play flash videos, after trying to play a few (from entensity.net) I can see the player, but pressing play results in only a yellow exclamation mark... Is there a solution to this or is flash support not quite there yet on android? (Btw according to the settings menu on the phone all software is up to date.)
