Media :: Playing Digital Copy Movies On Droid X
Jul 28, 2010so I went to sync my movies using the V Cast Media manager and it told me I could not copy my "digital copy" movies to the phone. Does anyone know how to get them to the phone to play? I can move them over using simple file manager (not the V Cast Media manager), however they still will not play. Anyone else able to get this to work? These are my ligit digital copys of the movie, so I don't know why it will not work.

HTC EVO 4G :: Playing Movies With HDMI Out
Nov 15, 2010I've been a member for a little while, but until now I've been able to just search and find answers to my questions. However, for this issue I can't seem to find anything. I bought a micro HDMI cable, and it works great when I play videos that I have recorded. However, I am not able to play movies and TV shows that I download and play with Rock Player. I've tried a bunch of file formats, and I haven't been able to play any of my own videos without Rock Player. That doesn't really matter to me as it still works fine. But, I would like to be able to plug in the HDMI cable and play a movie on a TV, but when I try, it just plays on the phone screen. So has anyone been able to play their own movies on a TV with the HDMI? Can anyone provide some input here?

Oct 14, 2009I noticed that you can't adjust media volume without first playing media. Like you have to, for example, press the play button before pressing rocker volume in order to adjust media volume or else you'll just be adjusting ringer volume. This is unfortunate since games also use media volume. So if you wonna start up a quick game in a quiet setting, your in trouble if you were listening music before and never turned down/off the media volume. Unless I'm missing something and there is in fact a way to do it?

Jul 28, 2010I have some pretty simple Soundboard applications on the Android Market that work flawless on an LG Ally, the Motorola Droid, and the Nexus One, but I recently received an e-mail from a user with the Motorola DroidX claiming that most of the sounds do not work. I've exchanged a few e-mails with him. He claims the Soundboard is the only application running, and he's double checked to make sure that the Media Volume wasn't set to minimum. I really don't have access to one either to play around with. The application isn't doing anything cosmic to play the sounds. Below is a code snippet. Any insights into what might be causing the hang up are greatly appreciated.

Apr 10, 2010I had an Ipod touch and just sold it because I got an Eris. I really like the phone but the media player is lame compared to ipods. I listen to downloaded radio talk shows and if I stop and listen to another song, it doesn't save my place. Not horrible in a talk show but in an audiobook, it really sucks. I don't want an iphone if it comes to verizon but I also don't want to have to keep track of two devices.
