I am trying to transfer movies to the X using Handbrake but it is not fitting the entire screen. I used the settings described in this link: How to convert videos and transfer them to the Motorola DROID X - Know Your Cell.

I just got all my iTunes music and pictures transferred over and I was wondering if there was a way to get the digital copies of Bluray movies I put on my iPhone onto the Droid? I saw someone else had a problem with iTunes movies before and it sounded like he bought those movies off iTunes. I'm simply trying to get the digital copy of movies that came with the Bluray movies I own onto the Droid such as Terminator and Transformers.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThat isn't handbrake. I can't use handbrake. I keep getting a weird error with it when I try to compile my movies to mp4. The devs for handbrake basically said they were sorry but it wont work on my system. Anyway, anyone know of a good program I can use to encode for the droid?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was in the Verizon store and got a nice ugly orange hard case for it, and we had trouble clipping the piece on the front. We tried it on the demo and it wouldn't work. No big deal..just a bad mold, it happens. I decide to plop it down and get an Otterbox. Same deal. Tried that one on the demo, and it fit. We go back and open a couple more and try them, same deal. The orange one was defective, but the others were not and fit the demo as well as his own personal phone. Our only assumption can be that there is something wrong with the molding on my Droid, not allowing anything to clip on.

Does anyone have any software suggestions that I can use to convert my DVDs into mp4 formats that will playback using the full screen on the DX?
Hopefully someone can help out. I shot a few movies with my eris and want to put them on my pc. When i connect the phone to my pc and open up the SD card folder i can't find the videos anywhere. I'm assuming there on the phones device memory but is there an easy way to transfer the video over to the sd card? I was messing around with the phone and couldn't figure out how to do that.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was so excited when LPP updated a while back and added the option for additional rows and columns....but it didn't resize things the way I wanted. I had hoped it would be tweeked and it seems better now but I'm still having an issue with Beautiful Widgets on the full size Home Weather. It doesn't fit the entire information completely with temp, etc. without pulling it down to fit across about 3 rows...which makes it look huge
Anyone else have this problem? Or should I just accept it and use the smaller Beautiful Home widget? And is there a way to resize the text size under the description of the app? I can remove it and kind of like it without it...but was curious if I'm missing something
So through a weird assortment of events i managed to crack the screen on my Eris. But this is the trippy part, I didnt break the glass but the touch sensors underneath. So now i am unable to use the menu or home buttons and the entire left part of my screen and more. I am unable to unlock my device in anyway that i know(menu button, the slider). Is there any other way to unlock it? I now have 11 unread texts and 4 voicemails that I desperately want to view. Oh and I know some of you won't be happy about what I'm about to say but.... I took the leap to the moto droid. I had the chance to get it on a 1 year because I didnt get insurance and I went for it. I will really miss my Eris but the keyboard lag was just killing me.

The problem is I can only see the first button and the rest go off screen. How do I scale the image or the buttons so all 49 can be viewed on screen?

I have tried both handbrake and xvidtopsp and with both programs I am just getting audio with a black screen. Can anyone help me figure out what I am doing wrong. I used the handbrake settings that someone had posted in a thread in here but that gave me the black screen as well.

View 16 Replies View RelatedSo I got my Eris on Wednesday and dropped it today and did I mess it up. It feel from about waste level, I'm 5'8 so it wasn't that high. I even slid my foot out to stop a direct hit to the ground which was successful. However this didn't help at all. The entire screen shattered but the phone still works. I know I should have a case for it but in the 9 years of having a cell phone this is the first one I dropped one. I was planning on getting one but haven't had the time to go out and get one yet.
Anyways I though the Eris had the gorilla glass that was basically unbreakable. It doesn't seem like a fall from waste hight, slowed down by my foot, onto the linoleum floor at the food store would destroy the screen. The cracks start at the corner and spider web through the whole screen. Everything I've read about people dropping the phone said it never broke. I am wondering if the screen might actually be defective, probably not but I'm grasping at straws to avoid the insurance deductible. Good thing I have insurance on the phone.

I have digital copies of a Wanted and Matrix and Toy Story 3 already on my computer. I tried creating a movies file then clickand drag onto my mounted phone the try to watch using Rockplayer but nothing. What am I doing wrong? In relation to my work I have the need to send and receive video files via bluetooth to my workmates handsets. Never had an issue in the past with Nokia "talking" to Blackberry etc (except I-phone which is a toy as far as I'm concerned) but my X10 will not receive. Mine heads in the right direction for about 270 degrees (rotating the phone) and the other 90 it is off by about 30 degrees. Leads to some hilarious yet awkward messages. Example: my friend asked me if I knew so and so. My reply was supposed to be yeah but it came out trash. Guess I need to slow down and proof read a bit more.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just switched from the HTC eris to the Droid and had no issues with IMAP on the eris which is running 1.5 OS. What's happening is I setup my personal domain email as imap and all works. I mark all messages in the inbox as read. When new email comes in it marks the entire inbox as new. I've deleted the account multiple times and done a hard reset. I even tested this in the store on 2 phones.
Moto doesn't have an answer and I found this thread on the VZ forums Droid IMAP emails always Unread - Verizon | Forums and Blogs - Verizon Community which the OP is using the same hosting company as I am. I've never had a problem on a WinMo, BB or iPhone setting it up the same way. Something seems off but not sure what it is. I've setup GMail via the same mail app and that's working.
I can't seem to rotate properly an image on the entire screen. The problem is that when the image rotates, you can see the background in some areas. I want the image to fill the screen also when it rotates. Here is the layout.I start the animation in onResume. As I said, the image rotates but there are background areas when it does rotate. I've tried using images much bigger than the screen but still it doesn't do what I want. I don't care that outer regions of the image are not visible. I just want the rotation to fill the screen. I guess ImageView sets its width and height initially and then, when it rotates, it uses those dimensions. Is there a better way to do this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedLast night, I noticed there was a pink blob down in the lower left corner of the screen, it bothered me but wasnt too bad, the rest of the screen looked normal. I went to bed, and when I woke up this morning the ENTIRE screen was pink - apart from that little blob which is now black. The colours are completely ruined, red and white is now pink and it doesnt show yellow at all, the messaging icon etc. is now a dark orange. I just bought the phone on thursday so this is a major problem for me, it's not exactly cheap.
The problem is that I'm from Norway and the Nexus isnt sold here, I bought it from a guy who had bought a lot in the US and was reselling, through our version of eBay. The box was unopened and everything, so it had not been tampered with. The problem is that they maybe won't let me return it because of this, and if I want help I'd have to ship it to the US, no help to get for it here.
