So the phone declines the call when you drag up, and I keep my phone power button down so I can have my index finger on the button when I pull it out of my pocket. Is there a way to change the drag up to decline?

Is there a way to block or remove built in applications on an android phone. I want to limit what you can do on the phone e.g. only call, text, email and use one or two third party applications. Is it possible to do that without rooting the phone?

View 1 Replies View Relatedim not sure why or what ive done but when i try and shut the phone down it just hangs at the "shutting down" screen for hours. it went 4 hours lastnight without shutting off. the only way to get it to stop is to pull the batt or it sometimes works to plug it into the computer with the usb cable. ive also noticed that mixzing wont read the sd card, keeps saying memory card is unavailible. could it be the same thing in both cases? the memory card is having issues? ive only had the phone for 2 weeks. i can save to and read from the card when mounted as a disc drive and i can shoot and save pics and videos as well as double twist reading from the card just fine. is there something im missing? this is driving me nuts im on telus, android 2.1, not rooted or modified in any way.

Meanwhile i can press Menu, Home, etc, nothing happens.. Sometime don't have that luck and the call drops. Most of the time i'm lucky and can pickup.

Its been 2 days since I rooted my phone, and it has freezes four times in these two days. By freezing, I mean that when I am playing a game, it suddenly stops responding and the screen goes black. I have to take the battery out and reinsert it. This never happened to me with my non rooted phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAlright so I was on froyo stock image frg01b rooted. I tried to install nextheme over it. I tried to go into recovery, but got the exclamation point. Went back into froyo, flash the alternative recovery, then flashed back to clockwork. It goes into recovery fine now.

Now try to go back into recovery to flash backup. It wont go into CW and now I see an exclamation point. Now I went into the stock recovery menu, wiped data did factory reset. Wiped cache.

What did I do?
I tried putting stock 2.1 on SD and renamed it update.zip and tried to flash with the stock recovery, but it says failed to access /sdcard .zip and then go back to the (stock) recovery menu. Clockword is gone and so is any and all ROMs.
After updating my x10 mini I am facing some new problems like hanging often, and restarting for every 15min.

There is one Issue however, which is really bugging me with the HTC, which might make me switch back to the iPHone if I can't find a solution.
Problem:
When I call with my headset (Not the original ones, I don't have huge ear holes....) I can't "switch off" the screen and put the phone in my pocket and call while walking... This sucks, as I have to hold the phone in my hands, which kind of kills the idea of having a headset.
Odin only detect my Samsung Galaxy Pocket S5300 when the power is off.
In a meanwhile:
- Odin cannot detect in Download mode.
- KIES is able to connect, detect & do the backup.
- I've tried many versions of Odins.
- Odin(s) is able to detect other phone (Galaxy Mini S5570).
- PC could detect the driver and do the file transfer.
Why only when the power off id:com turns into yellow (or green in Odin 3) ????
It seems like my Samsung Behold2 the call drop ratios is extremely high, call drops out of no where and sometimes I have seen full bars on phone but still calls get dropped. Another issue that while on the call the other parties voice will stop coming, the phone will be running and shows the call timer on as well, cannot end the call if this happens, the dialers just seems like hanged. only thing to come out from this issue is either take the battery out or somehow manage it to go in airplane mode.
View 16 Replies View RelatedAt my desk, my 5th gen Ipod Nano's scan function finds 24 perfectly clear stations. The Evo's scan finds NO stations. If I manually tune the stations found by the ipod on the Evo, I can find 9 out of the 24 with acceptable reception. And, the radio app occasionally hangs up while tuning, and must be restarted before it works again. Do I have a defective unit with respect to FM radio, or are they all like this? (not a big deal, since I didn't even know it had FM when I bought it, and I still have the ipod for this purpose.

So I decided to have scrollview and table into it. I set the view using setcontentview which shows loading dialog. then in aysnc task's "doInBackground" method i fetch all articles into the object and then in "onPostExecute" I run a for loop on the object and in each loop i make table row insert article and then insert row into table. and then dismiss loading dialog box.
As i have tabular view in my app and If i remove loading dialog box. While the UI is rendered if someone clicks on other tab. UI is hanged up, After loading all table rows It goes to other tab.
Even after using asynctask why this happens ?
