How long does wirefly take to ship the evo to you? Oh and by the way. I'm going to return my phone bc i got it 6 days ago along with my sprint account. When I return my phone to best buy and return it I can cancel my line and then when i get the evo do I get to go back on my family plan?

I was wondering if anybody had legitimate reasons for why I shouldn't get my EVO through Wirefly?The ONLY downside I can think of right now, is I may have to wait till June 5th or 7th to actually receive the phone. But the positives seem to outweigh that little issue. I've seen all the threads related to Best Buy and Radio Shack and I'm trying to figure out what the draw is for purchasing there other than getting it as fast as you can.This is all based on what I have seen Wirefly do, recently with the Incredible release, as well as purchasing my last phone (ENV2) through them, but this is how I foresee it going down:
-EVO becomes available on June 4th, same as Incredible became available on April 29th.
-EVO is priced at $149, just as the Incredible was and is currently listed at $149. Both phones would be or are $199 on their respective carriers websites and at places like Radio Shack and Best Buy.
-Would be able to drop another $50 off price because of Bing Cashback program, effectively dropping the total purchase price to $99, without having to pay any sales tax. Still would have to pay $35 activation fee, unless Sprint was running a special through Wirefly giving free activation. (Much like AT&T is currently doing) But maximum cost of phone would be $135.
-EVO would ship overnight and best case scenario would arrive on Saturday June 5th, or worst case scenario Monday June 7th.
-No rebates mail in or otherwise to worry about or mess with. Just a lower cost for the phone overall.
Does anybody have any LEGITIMATE reasons other than not getting the phone on the day it is released why it wouldn't be a good idea to go with Wirefly on this?I'm not looking for arguments or pissing matches on this, just really curious if anyone has any reasons for me to think about not going with Wirefly on this, if the previously mentioned aspects turn out that way.

I actually tried to order the Evo on the launch date from Wirefly, but was denied because my upgrade date wasn't ready. I think I'll give them a call and see if they can honor the launch price of $170 for me.

View 12 Replies View Relatedi exchanged my phone today do to a faulty microphone. now i got this evo and for example when i text and i wanna hold for a question mark it just puts down the letter and wont let me hold and alot of other things are very unresponsive or move slowly. I actually got the notification bar to stay halfway down which never happen to me cause i think it automatically goes all the way down. I did install a invisible sheild but i dont think that has any effect since most of the water is gone.it was working fine before i installed it tho. i had to turn the device off when the bottom buttons wouldnt respond until i would put it to sleep and then shortly after it go back to not responding then the screen stopped responding. is this faulty hardware?

If I exit the conversation and go back to it enough times it'll eventually allow me to scroll through.Additionally, when composing a message on a long conversation the keyboard suffers quite bad lag.Is this just me and has anyone found a fix?

It still looks good...no scratches, not falling apart etc. But I was wondering if it will damage the screen from being on so long and should I replace it with a new one. My Questions are; I really need a phone upgrade (iphone 3g being a proper drag!) and the HD looks great, but with 3.0 scheduled (from what I have read) to come out around xmas I am tempted to hold off till then. Can anyone shed light on when the next HTC uberphone would be expected to come out? I can probably wait till Xmas before upgrading, and maybe a little longer, but otherwise I'll go for the HD in October.

Currently on a VillainROM (6.0.1) which is not bad ... but I want the official 2.1 from HTC ... which by reading around, it looks like I'd have to downgrade to stock 1.5 before upgrading OTA to 2.1 ... a right mess about.
I want to retain root access though (for backups primarily), so it looks like a repack is the way forward. How long could I expect to wait before one becomes available for download?
