I'm writing this message using 4G! I unknowingly turned on my 4G button today, and lo and behold the 4G icon showed up! The signal of weak but it's there! Can anyone in the area check on this?

View 4 Replies View Relatedi exchanged my phone today do to a faulty microphone. now i got this evo and for example when i text and i wanna hold for a question mark it just puts down the letter and wont let me hold and alot of other things are very unresponsive or move slowly. I actually got the notification bar to stay halfway down which never happen to me cause i think it automatically goes all the way down. I did install a invisible sheild but i dont think that has any effect since most of the water is gone.it was working fine before i installed it tho. i had to turn the device off when the bottom buttons wouldnt respond until i would put it to sleep and then shortly after it go back to not responding then the screen stopped responding. is this faulty hardware?

View 6 Replies View RelatedAnyone else experiencing problems with long SMS conversations (20+ messages)? Firstly it seems that intermittently I cannot scroll back through the conversation. If I exit the conversation and go back to it enough times it'll eventually allow me to scroll through.Additionally, when composing a message on a long conversation the keyboard suffers quite bad lag.Is this just me and has anyone found a fix?

View 8 Replies View Relatedi feel like my battery is not REALLY charging all the way, which may be for my lack of life in the phone as well. it only takes about 2.5 hours to FULLY charge from about 3-4% all the way to %100 with a green light. i have the phone ON while charging too so i just expect it to take alot longer... what is the average FULL charge time here?

It still looks good...no scratches, not falling apart etc. But I was wondering if it will damage the screen from being on so long and should I replace it with a new one. I never had occasion to use a protector before so forgive me if the question sounds like a stupid one.

My Questions are; I really need a phone upgrade (iphone 3g being a proper drag!) and the HD looks great, but with 3.0 scheduled (from what I have read) to come out around xmas I am tempted to hold off till then. Can anyone shed light on when the next HTC uberphone would be expected to come out? I can probably wait till Xmas before upgrading, and maybe a little longer, but otherwise I'll go for the HD in October.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI see that the GSM 2.1 update is now finally doing the rounds (so many people must be so happy right about now), and I was thinking of joining them. Currently on a VillainROM (6.0.1) which is not bad ... but I want the official 2.1 from HTC ... which by reading around, it looks like I'd have to downgrade to stock 1.5 before upgrading OTA to 2.1 ... a right mess about.
I want to retain root access though (for backups primarily), so it looks like a repack is the way forward. How long could I expect to wait before one becomes available for download?
I'm not after a developers "spin" on 2.1. I'd just like stock GSM 2.1 from HTC with root access. Will it happen?
I realize the official HTC release is lord knows how far off, but I'm wondering how long it will be before an intrepid modder releases a vanilla gingerbread for dinc?

I'm trying to email a few pics and a video i took on my phone to myself and it just shows up in my outbox. How long does it take to email attachments like this? I even turned on wifi cause i thought it might require wifi like youtube does
