Any video that i take on my evo and move to my desktop is really choppy...it plays fine on the phone but as soon as i move it to my desktop its choppy...
Someone posted this on androidcentral and I noticed it on mine as well. Has anyone noticed their video playback in the gallery is really choppy now? This is the only big problem I've had with the update so far but I gotta say it's a big problem for me because I take tons of pictures and record lots of video..
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that since today, video playback on my Motorola Milestone has become almost impossible
The video starts ok, but all the sudden it gets REALLY choppy (like 3 FPS or so)
Audio still runs at regular speed and no glitches there...
This happens with any video, be it Youtube, or some video i shoot with the phone.
Does someone here experienced something like that ?
I turned it off, removed the battery, waited a couple of minutes and turned it back on... and problem persists... Also i've noticed that the time in the status bar, sometimes shows incorrect time...
My HTC desire 600 is not playing 720p videos correctly. Also there is lagging in recording in low light conditions.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust wondering if anyone else experiences choppy video when playing say like flash video from ESPN or if you try to watch a video from NBC.com. The video playback on Youtube is great but seems like all other video is really unwatchable. I also tried over my wi-fi and made no difference.
View 2 Replies View RelatedBeen struggling with this since receiving my X. Seems like no matter what player I use the playback is jerky. It's very subtle, almost as if the video is dropping a frame or so every second. I've tried the stock player, Astro, Rockplayer, mPlayer, Zimly, Act, and the list goes on and the problem still persists.
I've encoded (using handbrake) with all of the settings suggested on the boards and have tweaked things on my own trying to find the proper setting, but still no luck. The strange and frustrating thing is that the exact same files play just fine on my 1st gen iPod touch (clearly an inferior piece of hardware) and on my wife's incredible. These encodes are of standard def DVDs at average settings (a full movie is about 1.3gb, all h.264 mp4 files.
I was able to improve playback by rebooting the X and then playing the video, but this doesn't seem like an acceptable solution every time I want to watch something. I tend to encode and watch a lot of stuff on my commute to/from work, and I'd really like to replace my touch with the X, but the media capabilities are falling way short. Considering switching to the Inc as I know it's able to play my media properly, but I'd prefer to keep the X for the larger screen size (though the Inc does seem to feel better when using one-handed). I'm on the fence right now, but if the X can't function as expected then it might be going back. Unfortunately I only have until the 1st to return it so I don't think I can hold out and see if 2.2 fixes this issue.
I bought a Tmobile Galaxy S2 about 2 months ago, and everything worked just fine. 2 weeks ago I upgraded it to Android 4, and now when I play back the video's that I recorded with the phone, they stutter regularly every second or two. This happens when I play them on the phone, I haven't tried downloading them to the computer yet. I never noticed this when using the previous version of Android that came with the phone (I believe it was 2.3?). setting which might be causing this, or any other solutions.
The other thing I noticed when upgrading s that the battery runs out a lot faster than it did before. I used to have about 50-60% charge left at the end of the day, and now it's closer to 30-40%. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.
Hello all. I like to cut and splice my video files together to make one movie. I usually do this with Windows movie maker. That program doesn't recognize the .3gp format that the video files are in when I take them off the phone. So, I convert them to .avi. Is there a program that will ensure that the 720p quality is maintained through the conversion to .avi, or is there another format I should be converting them into? I can't remember the program I use now, but it doesn't look like it is staying in 720p quality. After making the complete video on windows movie maker I get an option to export the video in 720p, but if the input video is not 720p, the final output cannot be 720p right?
View 2 Replies View Relatedsorry to go on about the video camera but, any one out there know whats best for 720p? h.264 or mpeg4? or is it a case of i should definitely be using one or the other?

View 4 Replies View RelatedEncoding a video to the following specs and loading it on the EVO plays with the included video player perfectly. No jumping and clear, in sync sound. 720p resolution so the HDMI out should work once the cables are available. h.264 at Level 3.1, 3 reference frames and baseline profile. 1280 x 720 AAC stereo audio at 44100Hz, 128kbps Bit rate does not seem to be all that important as long as the video file is less than 2GB.Muxed to an mp4 container in IMSA standard format and optimized for streaming.

View 3 Replies View RelatedTried doing a search but after sifting through many pages, decide to put in a new topic. I was recording a video using the HTC camcorder. Why does the video save as a .3gp format even though I selected mp4 and 720p in settings? Did I do something wrong? Is it really 720p? Did not know that 3gp had the ability to do HD video.

One question arised on my mind when reading reviews of Galaxy S - is there any video player capable of playing HD content (720p) and showing subtitles - either from srt file or directly from MKV?
There are players with subtitles support but I am afraid that to play HD content 1Ghz processor is not enough and that Galaxy's internal player is also taking advance of GPU which others players do not.
I was wondering since now we have root on the DI how hard would it be to change the video camera resolution to record 720p?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I recorded some videos yesterday, assuming it would record in 720p by default. However when uploading to YouTube, it would only allow up to 480, not giving the option of 720p playback.
Well today, I noticed different resolutions. Is 1280x720 the 720p resolution? If so, then I may have figured it out myself.
Is there an app or website that lets you download or stream video clips (movie trailers, etc.) in 720p?
I tried youtube and selected "view in high quality" but I highly doubt it was displaying 720p.
I have the HTC evo on Sprint which so far I love it. I was messing with youtube late last nite and noticed on fast moving it seems to glitch a little bit. Is this because of the 30fps cap? I had a motorola droid and it was smooth as water.
