General :: Lost All Apps And They Can't Be Recovered
Dec 28, 2011i have a droid incredible with verizon. I had bought a ton of apps but then I ended up breaking my phone. I just got a lg esteem from metroPCS and I can't seem to recover my apps, even though I'm using the name number...
I don't think I had a gmail account registered to my original phone either. I remembered using a hotmail account,but I'm unsure if that would sync my apps.
Is there a way I can recover all the apps I bought? Or a way that I can prove that the credit card that paid for these apps was indeed mine and recover them that way?
I tried logging in with my hotmail account and it acted like i never bought apps with that hotmail account, and it said I hadn't.
So are they recoverable using one of the ways mentioned above, or another way?
General :: Lost Pictures On SD Card?
Jun 19, 2013I currently have the Galaxy S4. When I switch from the Droid Charge to S4 i put my SD card into my new phone.During the week I was able to see all of my pictures on the new phone then on saturday 6/8 half of my pictures disappeared. I called Verizon and of course they are saying its a corrupt sd card.
This is what I did so far. I removed my SIM card and placed it into a card reader and attached it to my computer. On my PC I unhide the following
- show hidden files, folders and drives
-unhide empty drives in the computer folder
I went thru all folders and could not find anything.
/storage/emulated/0
/storage/ExtStcard
I also looked at the device while the SIM card was inserted into the phone.

Sep 28, 2010So all of the sudden my phone starts messin up on me, i go to my albums and see that i only have 20 pictures out of the 313 i had previously on the phone it would sometimes come up with all the original photos and everything in the album but now it's like just gone. How can i get them back? I put it as a disk drive to try and look for it but when i go into DCIM there's only like 10 files in there.

Sep 1, 2010I had my Droid X plugged into my computer and the next day when I was using it, noticed that all of my pictures were gone. My DCIM folder is empty, with all 100 pics missing.
I do have a folder in the DCIM folder called SPMO files and it has many .spmo files that are roughly 500k each in size.
Does anyone know what happened to all of my pictures and is there any way to recover them. I've tried a restart and that did not work. Has anyone else had this happen to them.

Nov 16, 2010so im blasted pissed i lost all my pictures, and my setting for my ringtones. I didn't do nothing i just woke up and they were gone. I haven't done the update so i idk wt* happened
At first i thought it was my Sd card but it isn't because i didn't loose my apps. I got caught in the rain and my phone quit working. I got a replacement under the insurance program. In the meantime, after the original phone dried out, it started working. However, it seems sluggish. And some applications force close that didn't in the past. Unfortunately I updated a lot of aplicationss so it could also be that the new build of the applications is causing the FC. I'm not an electronics expert so my question is this: Can a phone partially recover from water damage? Or since it started working does that mean that it's good as new? I need to decide whether to keep the replacement or return it and get a refund.
HTC EVO 4G :: "Update Profile" / Lost All Pictures / Videos / Movies
Jun 21, 2010I frequently (once a week), will manually check for firmware, PRL, etc. updates. Yesterday, I tried whatever "Update Profile" is and after that I lost all of my pictures and videos. Is that what did it? Or do I have another issue here? Or did it happen after I took a pic of my home screen with Shoot Me? Also, I'm pretty sure I just copied my videos file from my PC (30 AVI's) to my SD card and then phone read them. Now, it won't, any after some research it doesn't look like the EVO even supports AVI? I'm pretty sure I didn't' convert anything than one DVD. Otherwise this phone is suhweet. 32GB cards can't come fast enough.

The default is that new pictures are all the way at the bottom, and since I have over a hundred pictures its annoying to scroll all the way to the bottom. I don't see any option to sort the pictures in any other way.

Jul 29, 2010Was wondering if anyone else is having problems with their HTC Desire, wiping their txt messages from their phones? Sometimes when i try to send a txt message my phone forces a close and when it re-opens the txt messages, all my messages have been lost, very annoying it is. Any thoughts on how to stop this or is my phone faulty? Also for some reason my phone won't back up my data to my SD card which it says it will do automatically.

Aug 5, 2010I have no idea how I managed this, but Facebook for HTC Sense isn't showing up anywhere and I wanted to sync my contacts and photos.I've been using the regular Facebook app and not the Sense version because I lost it somewhere along the way.I don't know if I can reinstall or if it's hiding somewhere.It does show up in "all applications", but it's not there in the "accounts and sync" menu.It also doesn't show up in my Fb Applications account when I log on through a computer.It only shows "Facebook for Android."I can't access an icon, I can't seem to access it at all.I don't think this is Froyo specific because I've had this issue since I got this phone (the week it came out).Anyone have any idea, short of factory reset, how to fix this?

Sep 20, 2010I used the 'force all apps to move to SD' method on Froyo on my HTC Desire and for a good while all was working really well. I was happy with the space I was saving.Today I used a backup tool from Navigon, Fresh, to backup my Satnav purchase. During this time my Desire rebooted itself while connected to my laptop via USB.When the phone came back I found that ALL my apps currently installed to the SD card are now no longer available in my menu and when I go to manage Apps I can see them but they are greyed out with a little SD in the corner of their icons.I can't move them back to the phone and Market appears to think that they are no longer installed. However I can see them in my manage Apps area.So physically they are still on my SD card, they are still showing in the manage Apps menu (but greyed out) and they are still taking space up. I just can't start them or move them.

Nov 14, 2009I just got my Moment yesterday and I have spent some time getting to know my new device and all. Well a lil while ago I started getting everything ready to swap off my old phone (pics, ring tones, music and such) Well I started by taking the media on my old sd card and put it all into a single folder on my PC. I then hookede up the Moment to the PC and all that went ok. I started to transfer the pics, I highlighted most of em and clicked on "MOVE" selected files (first mistake, should have COPIED!) Anyway I MOVED them into the Moment folder . . . DMIC (or however its called). . . THUMNAILS (thinking, PICS. . Thumbnails for some reason made sense to me) I got look on the moment and there is nothing there. NOW ALL my pics are GONE! I have NO CLUE at all where they went or how to access them. My first reaction was. . . OK the Moment didnt recognize the pics but they are still in there if I look at the folder FROM the PC. . . but they are NOT.
Also. . . how come the Moment will not recognize my old ringtones?
In the end I ended up adding all my music into another folder on the Moment called 100driod or something like that and I can access the tunes and even added a couple random pics to that same folder too and those pics showed up fine. Just need to find my lost ones now!

Nov 28, 2010Bought my x10 about 6 months ago. A few months ago it started randomly resetting itself. 2 months ago it started resetting itself then going into a reset loop for a few minutes until it stayed on. A little while ago it just started shutting off and not turning back on for a couple of hours.
I searched on Google and there was a suggestion to update the software. I read the instructions and noted it said to do a backup. I went to m.sonyericcson.com/backup on the phone, downloaded the latest backup software, and created a backup. Took quite awhile but said it was successful. I then connected to the computer and did the software update. Turned the phone on and tried to do my restore thinking everything worked great. Unfortunately when I load the backup file it says
File Error: Cannot read selected backup file
Did I just totally ***** myself and lose all of my data? Any ideas on how to make this backup file work? I will go back to 1.6 if it means I can actually use my phone, at this point it is useless without any of my contacts, programs or text conversations

Aug 24, 2010So I started a new job, and so I set about setting up my Droid to use as my work phone (they have since given me a work iphone. yep, I am not a two phone carrying guy). I read tutorials on using your gmail account to sync with outlook, but then discovered you can simply use the email exchange. But somewhere along the line, I lost my contacts. But wait, there's more! I didnt lose all my contacts, 3 contacts in the G section and 2 in the M section are still there. AND when someone in my contacts texts me, their name and number shows up even though they dont show up in my contacts, so I know the missing ones are in the phone somewhere!
