View 4 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if anyone knows how to sort pictures so that the newer pictures are at the beginning of the list? The default is that new pictures are all the way at the bottom, and since I have over a hundred pictures its annoying to scroll all the way to the bottom. I don't see any option to sort the pictures in any other way.

View 8 Replies View RelatedFirst post. I've looked up this topic so as to try to avoid posting a duplicate, however I can't seem to get the specific answer I'm looking for even still. Been trying to figure out how to do this all day now and have a headache, so please forgive my aggravation. All I am trying to do is store a picture for each contact on my contact list. I can only find pictures stored taken directly from my phone camera. I cannot find any pictures stored on my SD card. Now, before I am told I need to hook up my Moment to a computer with the USB cable, every time I do that all that happens is the phone charges and neither the computer nor the phone recognize each other. I tried saving pictures and e-mailing them to myself, where I then tried saving them to the phone and the only way I could do that was through the SD card. I do not even know how to physically remove or add the SD card as there does not seem to be any openings on the phone itself for it. My laptop runs Windows XP. My question is: How do I access the saved pictures on my SD card AND how do I get my computer to recognize my phone if I need to use it to do this?
View 5 Replies View RelatedWell the problem is I have the pre-installed SD card and for some reason, it is now saying that "the SD card is unmounted or removed" but its not. When I go into settings I have the option to Unmount it, so why is it saying that. If I restart the phone, the SD card works for about 2 minutes then tells me that its Unmounted again, which it is not. when I try to take a picture the phone tells me this AGAIN!
I cannot save any files, access music, pictures, or video. I can access the files when it is plugged into the computer, but when i try to add something to the SD card from the computer, it doesn't go on the phone. Is my Card corrupt? Do I format it? Help?
If this helps, this didn't happened until i upgraded my Droid to Froyo.
How to save pictures to your phone when someone sends you a slideshow?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am picturing something like what I saw on G4 a year or so ago. Program that takes multiple pictures and creates a 3d map based on them in which you can walk around inside the map. I really wish I still had the bookmark for that page. Anyway, is that the same as what you are talking about here? Or am I mistaken? If it is the same, it is an amazing concept. I look forward to the site being up and running so I can poke around a bit. (Right now, it won't connect).

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a small problem with my G1 that is driving me slightly insane. Hopefully someone has a suggestion.
If this is already covered - I couldn't find it, so please point me in the right direction.
I have my G1 sync'ing with my gmail for contacts (obviously), and a large number of my gmail contacts have pictures associated with them.
This all works fine for a while, and then... consistently... after a few days... the pictures on my contacts get messed up. They kinda swap around, and some of them seem to use random pictures which have been linked to contacts in the past, or perhaps even not at all.
I do not know whether this is getting messed up on my G1, and replicated to gmail, or the other way around, but I can't stop it happening and its massively annoying.
Any other information can be provided, but if anyone else has this problem or knows how I might fix it, it would probably save my sanity greatly.
their promotional screenshots are surrounded by a picture of an actual hardware - Nexus One in this case. Is the usage, for purely commercial reasons, of those pictures of existing hardware legal? Do I have to ask a manufacturer for permission? In spirit of the question above, if you've got personal experience with that, how could I get hold of high quality pictures of Android phones?

View 9 Replies View RelatedHow to you make it so if a user does something, it asks them how they want to do it and it brings them to that application? Like if you go "Share" a photo or video it pops up a list with all apps that can do that for you like facebook or text or email , ect.? I am asking how to have my app use other apps, not them use mine.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to write an application that uses the Camera App to take a picture. So far, the only thing I've been able to get back successfully is a tiny bitmap picture. I've found several other posts related to this topic that have code that is reported to work, but it does not work for me. I'm hoping someone can steer me in the right direction. Below is the code I am using currently, but it causes the application to blow up.
private void takePicture(final int x, final int y, String description) {
// create a file on the SD card
File file = new File(Environment.getExternalStorageDirectory(),
"tmp_" + String.valueOf(System.currentTimeMillis()) + ".jpg");
// Create the URI that tells the camera where to put the picture.
mOutputFileUri = Uri.fromFile(file);
statusLine.setText("URI => " + mOutputFileUri);
mIntent = new Intent(MediaStore.ACTION_IMAGE_CAPTURE)
.putExtra(MediaStore.EXTRA_OUTPUT, mOutputFileUri)
.putExtra(PIC_X, x) // x coordinate of square
.putExtra(PIC_Y, y) // y coordinate of square
.putExtra(PIC_DESCRIP,description)
.putExtra("return-data", true) ;
startActivityForResult(mIntent, PIC_FROM_CAMERA);
}
Ultimately, I want to be able to get the picture back and do two things with it: create a 64x64 icon that is displayed by the Android application, and upload the picture to a web application. I'm running this on the emulator using Android 2.0
Does anyone know how to get the real filesystem path where the images are stored? I know that Using Media.EXTERNAL_CONTENT_URI thru a content provider you can get the pictures inside the folder and from there get the path. but if the pictures folder is empty, how I can get the full path?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just got a Samsung Galaxy Portal and discovered it does not support sending pictures by bluetooth!
Does anybody know of an app I can use to provide this function?
I found an interesting tip over on the Tmobile forum that helped me out. I seam to get a real strong halo effect in my pictures from any light source, that blows out large parts of the photo. Most likely you have touched the camera lens while changing the battery or fooling about with the phone. Solution clean the camera lens and the inside and outside of the back cover. It is still far from great camera but, man, made it a whole lot better. All this time I thought it was just the crappy camera.
