Jul 1, 2010Automatically resets Ur phone at a set scheduled time. My blackberry had one called restart me. I know android has one, Jus can't seem to find it.

Dec 30, 2013I recently received an LG optimus f3 with android 4.1.2.
After activating the phone, it displayed the correct date and time for my time zone, so I didn't mess around with settings to reset the time, as I would with any other device.
However, I've noticed that the time changes to exactly an hour ahead, before changing itself back several minutes later.
I went to settings > date and time, but 24 hour time and selecting a date format are the only options listed.
I prefer to leave mobile data off when I am at home and can use the wi-fi. Is it necessary to have mobile data turned on, so the phone can receive the time from a cell tower, or is there a way I can set an internal clock?

May 19, 2010Are there any apps out there that would allow me to have both gmail and exchange switch from "as mail arrives" to "manual" certain times of the day?For instance, I sit in front of my work computer most of the day and don't require immediate email to my phone, same with gmail.So from say 8-5pm I don't really need instant mail. Also, from say 11pm - 6am I also don't need instant mail since I'm sleeping :-)it would be important that this would be controlled by days (for instance, I would like to be able to schedule the instant mail off on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8am - 5pm.

Problem: I have two batteries, default one and Mugen one. Every time I change a battery the phone system time resets.
What I have tried to do: Set "Automatic date & time" and "Automatic time zone" on - No luck. Restar after set on -
Install different NTP server synchronizing app. I am in china, so it could not connect to the server and I get error every time, even after change to chinese NTP server - Still no luck...
Install different GPS synchonizing app, sometimes it work sometimes not and it takes too long to synchronize.

Jun 21, 2010So my phone has this weird pattern of resetting about 2 minutes away from my house when I'm driving (happened in two opposite directions). It was just sitting in my pocket and I hear it reset (sometimes it reset multiple times on the same trip). I thought it was maybe the task killer running funny so I disabled it, and still it resets. Happens every time. I'm using Fresh 0.3 but it happened in earlier versions of Fresh too. Anyone else having this issue? Maybe it has to do with switching towers or something (in my house I get a very very very weak signal).

Feb 1, 2012I've got an HTC Evo 3D running MIUI 2.1.20. I've been having an issue lately that's spanned multiple roms on multiple phones. Every few minutes the phone will freeze a and eventually soft reset. This only occurs when the phone is sitting, or I am on the home screen. If I'm using an app on the phone it runs fine until I exit that app, at which point it will continue to run for a minute or two before soft resetting.
I've experienced this issue on both my Evo 3D and Evo shift. I've used Eternity and MIUI on the 3D, and MIUI and Synergy in the shift.
General :: Phone Resets When Playing Video Or Audio?
May 12, 2013I'm having a strange problem with my Xperia Arc (4.0.4) that is proving very difficult to track down. When playing music or videos, after a random amount of time (maybe 20 or 30 seconds) the phone will crash and restart. This happens regardless of the app I use - Play Music, Poweramp, MX Player and YouTube. I have restored my phone using CWM to a much earlier backup, but eventually (within a few hours) the problem returns.
My only other recourse would seem to be a full wipe and return to stock firmware, which would be a major PITA and obviously wouldn't support if this is a hardware issue or some conflict with an update

Nov 9, 2009I got my Droid on Friday, the day it came out. Was working fine. Today, about an hour ago, my droid reset itself. Then started back up. when I got to my home screen, it reset itself. When I got to the home screen again, very shortly (less than 10 seconds) it reset itself again! And repeated this over and over. It never stopped! I can not even use my Droid!

May 31, 2010Sso yesterday, my phone did one of the resets on its own, thinking ok whatever (since its the norm now). When it came back up was saying please insert external memory card. Something like that. So again, its crapped out another card. I would have to check my last post to see if this happened with the old phone or the replacement. Its been just fine, now everything is gone again. I know I should back things up but when u have never had this problem b4 its not something that I always remember to do. I had removed weather widget and beautiful widget as I didn't know which one I wanted and was rearranging icons. Now I cant use either. I was checking for a schedule online.

May 5, 2012I was going to write an app and make a million dollars because I can't find an app that I need. I think others would buy it. But I checked out the Android programming videos parts 1 and 2. It may exist, but I can't find it.....
What I would like to find us an app that will let me toggle notifications on and off by time and day automatically.
It should be able to toggle email, by account, and sms.
Scenario: I have 4 email accounts. I want to be able to set when my email account checks email and notifies me. I want to shut off awork email after work hours and have it turn back on at a specific time in the morning.
I want to turn off my other emails and sms notifications at bedtime and turn back on in the morning.
But I still want the phone to be able to ring and the alarm to work throughout the night in case of emergency calls and so I can get up in the morning.
It would be preferable that the email and sms be able to be turned completely off so there wouldn't be anything showing up in notification bar until it turned back on in the morning instead of merely turning off the sound for those.
But at this point I would love just to be able to toggle sound notification by email account and sms.
It should be customizable by day of week as well. Ie. I could leave work email off during weekend but have others working. I also think students would like to be able to customize for MWF and TT settings.

May 7, 2010Recently my the screen stoped working on my phone so I pulled the battery to get it back working. After I put it back in the phone was completely reset, no contacts, no messages, no email, no downloads. I use google sync to recover all my contacts and such but when I cut the phone off and cut it back on again it is completely reset again and this trends continues time and time again. . and to make matters worse its saying that I have zero internal memory to install my apps again from the marketplace.

May 15, 2009I am developing a ToDo reminder type of app for android. on creation of a new reminder an alarm and vibrator scheduler is created with a toast. This works on intents and broadcasts and is pretty straight forward stuff with putextras using the reminder id from the db. My problem is, if some one restart the phone, i guess all the scheduled alarm and vibrator tasks for the reminder will be killed. Once the phone restart again how to recreate the scheduler tasks.
