General :: Toggle Notifications By Time Automatically

I was going to write an app and make a million dollars because I can't find an app that I need. I think others would buy it. But I checked out the Android programming videos parts 1 and 2. It may exist, but I can't find it.....
What I would like to find us an app that will let me toggle notifications on and off by time and day automatically.
It should be able to toggle email, by account, and sms.
Scenario: I have 4 email accounts. I want to be able to set when my email account checks email and notifies me. I want to shut off awork email after work hours and have it turn back on at a specific time in the morning.
I want to turn off my other emails and sms notifications at bedtime and turn back on in the morning.
But I still want the phone to be able to ring and the alarm to work throughout the night in case of emergency calls and so I can get up in the morning.
It would be preferable that the email and sms be able to be turned completely off so there wouldn't be anything showing up in notification bar until it turned back on in the morning instead of merely turning off the sound for those.
But at this point I would love just to be able to toggle sound notification by email account and sms.
It should be customizable by day of week as well. Ie. I could leave work email off during weekend but have others working. I also think students would like to be able to customize for MWF and TT settings.

Is there any way to turn the bluetooth option on the caller id screen to automatically toggle the bluetooth function on vs rushing to home screen toggle?
I'm often on the road at work or just have my hands full and it is such a drain running bt all day. Is there anything close to what I'm asking available or possible?

I am trying to get the button in my layout to have focus as I am programmatically changing its state. My application is a video player using VideoView. I am toggling the state of the button based on where my video is. So basically, I am doing videoview.getCurrentPosition() and if it is in a certain window, I want to toggle my Button state (enabled to disabled and vice versa). The layout is LinearLayout and I have the VideoView and Button layed horizontally. When I first had the MediaController in my Video, the button would change focus on touching the videoview (which is when the MediaController would pop up). I later removed the controller because I didn't want the button state to change when the user touches the screen. I want it to change automatically.
I tried all sorts of combinations possible. button.setFocusable(), button.requestFocus(), button.bringToFront() and so on. But none of them seem to work.
Is there any way I can make it toggle programatically and without user intervention through touch? or is it impossible to do it with the VideoView?

My Dad is looking into buying my Asus TF101 off me to use as an in-car navigation and entertainment system.
One thing I would like to try and do for him is set up something that will turn the tablet off automatically after the car is turned off. The tablet will be permanently connected to the 12V cigarette lighter socket via car charger. I currently use Tasker to automate many things on my phone and the tablet, and any experience in using it to turn a device off say 10 minutes after the charging source is removed (car turned off).

I get notifications, mostly email, through the night. Most of them are commercial emails that go out at 2-4am and wake me up. Is there a way, or an app, that allows the notifications for alerts (not phone) to be automatically shut off for specified hours?

I've written an activity that call a number that automatically send a sms with some informations. So I've created a BroadcastReceiver that handle SMS received from a specified originating address. This works fine... but i want to :
1. Disable notifications sound when I'm waiting for receiving this sms (just 1 or 2 seconds)
2. Disable notifications of SMS default app and ChompSMS that handle incoming SMS.

Anyone know of an app that will quiet ONLY my email notifications at night automatically? I still want to get phone calls and SMS messages and for my alarms to ring. I just want my emails to be silent until morning. I can't find anything like this.One that comes with a widget would be even better.

Can you set the scenes to automatically switch depending on time of day on the phone? I'd definitely use them if at 8am Mon-Fri the scene switched to Work. At 6pm Mon-Thur it would be nice for it to switch to the default home screen. 6pm Fri I'd like it to switch to the Play scene. Is this a capability or do you have to change them manually via menu system?

Taken the X10 on a trip from the UK to Austria today. The "use network provided values" option is ticked, for Date and Time. However, it is stuck on UK time. Turning the phone on and off didn't make any difference.Has anybody else suffered with this problem?

Wondering if anyone knows of an application that can automatically dial a number at a set date and time. I have a meeting to attend, and I need to call my house at a certain time to make sure my kid gets up for school. They ignore the alarm clock, but always wake up when the phone rings. I can't use my phone during the meeting.

Can anyone recommend an app that will extend the vibration time when a call comes in and for notifications. I find the vibration strong enough (coming from a BB 8900, the Hero is twice as strong) but the vibration time is a little short for liking.

I have a AT&T HTC Inspire 4g.I don`t live in the States, and my problem with that is the fact that in my country the 3g network runs at 2100, and the phone isn`t supporting it.I read that my operator runs 2g on 900, and also checked that the phone supports it, but there is no option in the menu to change from 3g/4g to 2g

I m not sure why I got this app if I don't know what it does. But I did because I have the free version and it told me to upgrade. By the way what was the extra charge for a dollar. Was that just an authorization that will drop off.
And the main question is how do I use this app
There is no widget per se. I have to access it in the app drawer.
When I set a certain clock nothing happens. So I expected it to be the clock for either Beautiful Widgets or Beautiful Superclock

I open my notification panel a LOT during the day and am looking for a better way to toggle it other than swiping down from the top (Galaxy S4). My friend has a LG G2 and it has a button right on the bottom home panel to do this - is there a way to get this on an S4?

I have a GS2, with Slimbean 4.2.2 build 2.5 recently flashed.
The long press on the Wifi toggle (notification area) allows me to get to the wifi settings screen, but the short press only works to turn off the wifi, it never turns it on.
Is this a slimbean only issue? A 4.2.2 issue? Something else that I could address?

know of any (notification) toggle to quickly disable/enable lockscreen? In the notification panel Android unfortunately doesn't seem to have such a toggle build in. With the previous build, Jelly Bean, some widgets from the Play Store seemed to work, but not anymore with Android 4.4.2.

In Jelly Bean when using a bluetooth or usb keyboard (certain mice and scanners also) force the on screen keyboard off.
Then anyone can choose to turn off the physical keyboard (or whatever device) by going into the input method option (also known as Input and Language) in settings and selecting the OFF option and upon doing so the keyboard (or whatever device) still works and now the on screen keyboard works also. (very simple)
The option to turn ON or OFF the physical keyboard is not present in the input method selector screen unless a physical device is attached via usb or bluetooth.
How can one do this from a terminal window or using a shell command.
I would like to automate this silly feature via Tasker or Locale but can not do so until I know the console command.
I know how to switch IME devices from the command shell or with the Secure Settings plugin but when a physical device is connected it does not show using the shell command IME LIST. Only virtual keyboards are listed, not physical devices.

I had a ROM once that came with a widget built in that allowed me to apply different filters to my screen. For example, I could make everything red or blue. I don't remember what the widget was called but I remember it really saved my eyes in the middle of the night if I had the red filter enabled.
What this app/widget is called and where I might be able to get it?

How can I set up autosync to only enable when wifi is connected, or perhaps a location based setting that will turn it on and off when I'm at home or work??

How can I determine if the current time is between two other time objects?
For example: current: 15:23, startTime: 22:00, endTime: 06:00. So the current time is not between this two other times, but this "23:47" is.
*I don't care about the date, only the time
