View 18 RepliesSo my phone has this weird pattern of resetting about 2 minutes away from my house when I'm driving (happened in two opposite directions). It was just sitting in my pocket and I hear it reset (sometimes it reset multiple times on the same trip). I thought it was maybe the task killer running funny so I disabled it, and still it resets. Happens every time. I'm using Fresh 0.3 but it happened in earlier versions of Fresh too. Anyone else having this issue? Maybe it has to do with switching towers or something (in my house I get a very very very weak signal).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got an HTC Evo 3D running MIUI 2.1.20. I've been having an issue lately that's spanned multiple roms on multiple phones. Every few minutes the phone will freeze a and eventually soft reset. This only occurs when the phone is sitting, or I am on the home screen. If I'm using an app on the phone it runs fine until I exit that app, at which point it will continue to run for a minute or two before soft resetting.
I've experienced this issue on both my Evo 3D and Evo shift. I've used Eternity and MIUI on the 3D, and MIUI and Synergy in the shift.
I'm having a strange problem with my Xperia Arc (4.0.4) that is proving very difficult to track down. When playing music or videos, after a random amount of time (maybe 20 or 30 seconds) the phone will crash and restart. This happens regardless of the app I use - Play Music, Poweramp, MX Player and YouTube. I have restored my phone using CWM to a much earlier backup, but eventually (within a few hours) the problem returns.
My only other recourse would seem to be a full wipe and return to stock firmware, which would be a major PITA and obviously wouldn't support if this is a hardware issue or some conflict with an update
I got my Droid on Friday, the day it came out. Was working fine. Today, about an hour ago, my droid reset itself. Then started back up. when I got to my home screen, it reset itself. When I got to the home screen again, very shortly (less than 10 seconds) it reset itself again! And repeated this over and over. It never stopped! I can not even use my Droid!
View 4 Replies View RelatedSso yesterday, my phone did one of the resets on its own, thinking ok whatever (since its the norm now). When it came back up was saying please insert external memory card. Something like that. So again, its crapped out another card. I would have to check my last post to see if this happened with the old phone or the replacement. Its been just fine, now everything is gone again. I know I should back things up but when u have never had this problem b4 its not something that I always remember to do. I had removed weather widget and beautiful widget as I didn't know which one I wanted and was rearranging icons. Now I cant use either. I was checking for a schedule online.
View 12 Replies View RelatedRecently my the screen stoped working on my phone so I pulled the battery to get it back working. After I put it back in the phone was completely reset, no contacts, no messages, no email, no downloads. I use google sync to recover all my contacts and such but when I cut the phone off and cut it back on again it is completely reset again and this trends continues time and time again. . and to make matters worse its saying that I have zero internal memory to install my apps again from the marketplace.
View 4 Replies View RelatedHad it happen a few times in the past couple weeks. Doing different things with the phone. I checked a txt message and the phone reset. I was playing a game and it reset. I was swiping through the screens and it reset. Anyone having similar experience? Not a big deal, just wondering what the issue was.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am working on an app that uses a GoogleMap and lots of overlays/markers. Controls and navigation is handled automatically (no direct user interaction with the map needed so far).
Things work the way I want right until the app pauses and goes into the background. When I resume the app the map has zoomed out to 0:0 and it doesn't react to animateMap or anything anymore. I can't seem to figure how I get it back to the state where it doesn't react to user interaction and actually updates with my markers and stuff..
Below are the three methods handling the map, and it doesn't seem to react on any of it after a resume.
Code:

Should we do a factory reset after unistalling apps so that we make sure that every bit of info is gone from that app or can we avoid that
View 5 Replies View RelatedI was just curious if you did a factory reset would you lose root? And what would happen if you froze bloat with TiBU once you did the reset. Im not planning on doing this but I was just curious what would happen.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI finally got to the point where I was ready to deploy my app to my G1 and test it out and the first thing I noticed was that when I change my phone to landscape view my main activity restarts and resets all of my variables to their default settings. How can I avoid this?
View 7 Replies View RelatedRecently I've started having an issue with Google Maps. Every time I reboot my phone, and open Maps after it turns back on, all my user settings have been reset back to default. So far I haven't been able to figure out the cause. Any suggestions?
View 6 Replies View Relatedi am facing is that when i power on my mobile [Its HTM H10 MTK6572 running stock rom 4.2.2], Boot animation appears and just after that, lockscreen comes for a sec. and then again it reboots and same thing happens! I don't know what is the cause.
By the way, It is not rooted now as it was before. Before this happened, I only updated SuperSU and nothing. The worst thing is that i can't access settings from app drawer and usb debugging got disabled itself (yes, i had it enabled.). Good thing? I can access recovery mode (stock).
EDIT:- My friend told me that your device is soft-bricked.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem with my galaxy note 2, jellybean 4.1.2, rooted
After I restart my device, some apps stops working, when I clikc them, it says unfortunately, the app XXX stopped working.. with no report option. Also, some apps that still working, their data just get reset.. like I have never opened them..
I tried a factory reset and flashing new jellybean version (4.1.2) but I am still having this problem.. tell me whats happening? It's like the device is not loading the apps after restart or what exactly?
I'm having trouble with my prestigio PAP5000.. I often get a "low memory" sign in the top right corner and then launcher resets. It runs JB 4.1.1 and i have to restart the phone in order for it to clear ram and work properly, for some time ofc, till it does it again. Is there a way for me to reinstall this rom or, as i would prefer, to install ICS 4.0.4?

It's a X-Touch tablet X714 as the back case says and DFP7006.... anyway i don't mind what the heck it is.. problem is:
It's been working satisfactory for half an year and yesterday i installed BusyBox Pro, dsploit and Flappy Birds.apk from unknown sources... so than battery died (it dies in 3hrs) and today when i charged it up it booted to factory erased mode (cold or hard boot i guess you call). I didn't mind it at all, started installing apps from SD but there was not enough space, actually not even a bit of storage. Now every time i boot my tablet it keeps erasing. Strangely enough i found mojang folder in the mnt/sdcard/ directory which i could access with built in file explorer.... So tablet didnt actually erased everything, but rather just denied my permission to use them and any free internal memory..
So it's widely known that soft resets of this phone causes problems with the icons as well as displayed program names.Has anyone noticed that soft resets also revert some of your programs back to earlier versions? The 2 I've noticed most often are Pandora and Mybackuppro. For example, the current version of Pandora is 1.1.1. When I upgraded from 1.1.0 in the marketplace, I installed over the old version and everything was working fine. After a soft reset, I noticed that the opening splash screen for Pandora listed 1.1.0, but the listing under my downloads in the app store didn't list an upgrade needed. I had to uninstall 1.1.0 and reinstall 1.1.1. I had that version on for about a week until I had another soft reset. Sure enough, I'm back to Pandora 1.1.0. The same thing happened with mybackuppro. This is far more irritating than screwing up the icons or displayed name, because this is actually changing what version of the software we're using.early adopters being the beta testers for mobile manufacturers and carriers.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI download apps from play store, amazon appstore and other places..
When I restart my phone, Some apps (no matter where are they from (play, amazon, etc.)) They stop working.. they dont work anymore.. and I will have to re install the apps again and loss all data
And also some apps that still work, they start like its the first time I am starting them and all data in them are lost..
I tried multiple things to fix this like I factory reset my phone and also tried to flash new version of stock rom but I still have this problem.
My device: Galaxy Note 2, jelly bean 4.1.2, rooted (no custom rom indtslled)
Specifications:
Sony Xperia V (LT25i)
Official Android 4.1.2 9.1.A.1.145
Problem: I have two batteries, default one and Mugen one. Every time I change a battery the phone system time resets.
What I have tried to do: Set "Automatic date & time" and "Automatic time zone" on - No luck. Restar after set on -
Install different NTP server synchronizing app. I am in china, so it could not connect to the server and I get error every time, even after change to chinese NTP server - Still no luck...
Install different GPS synchonizing app, sometimes it work sometimes not and it takes too long to synchronize.
Does system recovery "Wipe data/factory reset" resets custom kernel to stock?
I'm asking this because im noob, and I want to try JellyBlast for Galaxy GT-S5570I. It has two zip files to flash one is ROM, and one is custom kernel. If I do something wrong I'm afraid that I won't be able to restore nandroid backup.
I recently received an LG optimus f3 with android 4.1.2.
After activating the phone, it displayed the correct date and time for my time zone, so I didn't mess around with settings to reset the time, as I would with any other device.
However, I've noticed that the time changes to exactly an hour ahead, before changing itself back several minutes later.
I went to settings > date and time, but 24 hour time and selecting a date format are the only options listed.
I prefer to leave mobile data off when I am at home and can use the wi-fi. Is it necessary to have mobile data turned on, so the phone can receive the time from a cell tower, or is there a way I can set an internal clock?
I have Android 4.2 on my mobile phone which I have bought recently.
Everything is running fine on my phone so far but with the exception of my clock's alarm volume.
For example:I set the alarm volume to max, I go and set my clock alarm to ring and when the alarm rings the volume is set to very low. When I check back to verify the volume, the volume is set to very low. I am very sure that I have set it to max though.
I have tried to reset my phone to factory settings, it didn't work..
So I am making a basic chess app to play around with some various elements of android programming and so far I am learning a lot, but this time I am lost. When the orientation of the emulator changes the activity gets reset. Based on my research the same thing will happen anytime the application is paused/interrupted, ie. keyboard change, phone call, hitting the home key etc. Obviously, it is not viable to have a chess game constantly reset, so once again I find myself needing to learn how to fix this problem.
My research brings up a few main things, overriding the onPaused method in my Activity, listening for Orientation, Keyboard changes in my manifest (via android:configChanges), using Parcelables, or Serialization. I have looked up a lot of sample code using Pacelables, but to be honest it is too confusing. Maybe coming back tomorrow with fresh eyes will be beneficial, but right now the more I look at Parcelables the less sense it makes.
My application utilizes a Board object, which has 64 Cell Objects(in an 8x8 2D array), and each cell has a Piece Object, either an actual piece or null if the space is empty. Assuming that I use either Parcelable or Serialization I am assuming that I would have to Parcelize or Serialize each class, Board, Cell, and Piece. First and foremost, is Parcelable or Serialization even the right thing to be looking at for this problem? If so is either Parcelable or Serializable preferred for this? And am I correct in assuming that each of the three objects would have to be Parceled/Serialized? Finally, does anybody have a link to a simple to understand Parcelable tutorial? Anything to help me understand, and stop further headaches down the road when my application expands even further.
I have the new x10 mini and cant work out how to or where the new contacts are added to after the initial transfer are,can anyone shed any light on how to check this please?
