Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen. I was on a call and had a second call come in. When I answered the second call, it conferenced all of us together.

Once ACTION_NEW_OUTGOING_CALL has been broadcasted, I need to capture the following event of the other party answer. Could you advice on how to achieve that please? I know it is possible as the android dialer app changes the green android icon to the person's photo excatly when they pick up. I've had a look at the source of the app on Android handling the outgoing calls.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo when setting up the people widget, is there a way to set up a shortcut that automatically calls someone, and another shortcut that automatically texts the same person?Say, for example, I set up 2 different people widgets, on 2 different screens. On one screen, I have the people widget full of people and it's set to automatically call them on their mobile phone. On the next screen, I have a people widget with all the same contacts, but it's set to send a text message instead of call.Is this possible? I can't figure out how to change the default action on 1 of them in the widget without changing it for that contact in all of the widgets.It would sure be nice if I could have a screen full of contacts that have the default action as a text message, and another screen with the same contacts with the default action being to call them.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I get in my car my phone pairs with my Parrot so I can make and receive calls without using my phone. My HTC Magic pairs with the device fine (it does take 5 mins or so to sync fully) and I am able to see my contact list and make calls from it without any problems. It puts the audio and the microphone through the Parrot system and its fine. The problem occurs when I receive a call unfortunately. The Parrot system realizes I have an incoming call and cuts out my radio / cd in the car and rings as it should do.
Unfortunately my phone also rings and when I accept the call (on either the phone or the parrot) it doesn't automatically put the call through the parrot. I have to use the phone and manually set the call to go through the bluetooth, which as you can appreciate is a bit fiddly whilst trying to drive. I've had a look round for an app that sorts this, and checked the bluetooth settings on the phone but I've not been able to find anything as of yet that will solve the problem.
I was thinking if i could have an app wherein i can set a particular date and time and at that set moment my phone automatically calls the number that i set. Also if possible the call should be disconnected as soon as the call is received at the other end.
I tried to search a little if such apps were existing i found an app called "Wakeup call alarm" which is not existing any more.one application of such an app is to call my landline number in the morning so that i get up from bed at least pretty lazy to wake up from bed in mornings.
Is there a way to automatically answer an incoming cell call from an android application? I know it can be detected etc. but can it be programmatically answered?

I've recorded (amr file) with my phone a conversation in which the one I'm calling dials DTMF tones from his cell and I would like to use the program to detect those tones and that my phone automatically calls the number that he dialed. Recently I had issues syncing contacts with Google, Fb etc and I had to do a factory reset of the phone. Since then I've following issues so far.
1. Incoming calls are getting rejected automatically
2. Silent, Flight mode are missing when I press the power button
3. When I'm in some application and if I press the Menu/Home button, it does not take me to the home screen and nothing happens
4. Windows can't detect or install the drivers for the phone, even if I do it through the 3rd party sources windows still doesn't show it.
I started using Android 4.1.2 with its E-Mail App 4.1 and Exchange Services 5.0 (hope it is called like this, in German it is "Austauschdienste").
After setting up the connection to the Exchange server (works perfectly), I responded to an Email. Unfortunately, the Email didn't get marked with the tag/arrow answered in Outlook (in the app itself it got marked...). Before I used the app MailDroid. There it worked. Is there any possibility/explanation/wrong configuration, why the answered status is not synced?
Just got my Eris last night and am trying to figure it out. I was using a BB curve so this is different. I am following all battery tips but have a different question. When I am on a call if someone beeps in it is automatically switching me over to this new call. How do I stop that?

Now, I know that *72 will forward my calls to the number I specify, and *73 will disable that once I leave the defined area. The problem is that I use YouMail, and apparently *73 is the code for disabling the *71 busy/answer forwarding as well. It seems stupid that verizon used one code to disable 2 different features. How do I disable the *72 feature w/o disabling the *71 one?

Here is my problem, When I hang up from a bluetooth call my screen automatically comes back on in my pocket. Then I end up with a pocket dial. I can not tell you how frustrating this is. But after a minute or so it locks. You have to push power button before you can enter numbers- annoying. Is there a "keep alive" option I'm not seeing?
On a similar note, is there a way to make the phone lock automatically (like an app)? It's also annoying to have to manually lock it: I'd rather keep waking it up (if it was indeed idle and not running a program) than forget to lock it and dial/message everyone in my contact list from my pocket.
