Well I thought my download went OK but now my phone is alerting ringing dinging intermittently with alerts I never chose without cause. Anyone else? any ideas how to fix this? I'm going to try a master reset.

I've been using Slacker Radio (version 2.0.84) quite happily for the past couple months on the Moto Droid (OS version 2.1).
Over the last month, I've had at least 4 times when the radio starts blasting while the phone is in the charger in the middle of the night. The last two times, it seems to have happened at 3:25 or 3:26 am. The other times it went crazy it may have been the same time.
Has anyone else experienced this and perhaps has a fix?
For some odd reason, whenever I try to use it when on a wall charger the phone's touchscreen goes crazy, not when using the car charger tho....

Since rooting the phone has worked fine for 2+ months, however I now have a MAJOR problem, in that the touch screen is behaving very erratically.
It started with the lower menu bar (All programs, phone and + ) not responding. Now if I touch any icon the phone button goes green, or the phone screen comes up, however I cannot enter any numbers! Sometimes I get a random icon flashing round the screen and I can steer it with my finger, but not activate it!
My concern is that if a have to do a re-set or reinstall, I may not be able to do a backup first, as the relevant keys wont respond. Does anybody have any ideas? Might a re-install of the ROM help?
Most the roots I see on XDA are pretty much sense with a few colorful addons and launchers. If anyone has links to really different roms that don't really use sense post a link. And no adw launchers or launcher pro.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy Hero is running CM6. About once or twice a day an icon shows up in the notification bar that looks like a "play" icon (triangle pointing to the right). If you open the notifications while this is happening it shows a bunch of commands alternating quickly in random order including Camera Shutter, Low Battery, Undock, Keypress Spacebar, Keypress Standard, Keypress Return, Keypress Delete, Lock, Effect_Tick, Video Record, Unlock.There may be others but this is all I can comprehend as they go by really fast. When this happens there is nothing I can do to stop it except pull the battery.This is driving me crazy! Can someone tell me what is going on?

MotoDroid 2.2. Since 2.2, the auto-rotate screen goes haywire from time to time. I normally use the vertical format, easier to type, but when it switches, not much screen left, and I have to go back and back to start over again.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo i was busy installing apps and moving them around my screen when i accidentally hit the auto-brightness toggle on one of my newly installed widgets, i went to hit it a few more times to restore my previous brightness, but my screen totally turned off. The phone is still on, if someone calls me i can hear the ring tone perfectly.

My phone has gone completely silent, it does not ring for an incoming call it just vibrates, silent mode is not on, I do not get any sound alerts at all for any messages. I have done a factory reset and it is still the same. Does anyone know how to fix this?

My question is, Can i totally block off Data Usage through just the phone itself? Is there any possible solutions? I want this phone, but just to have the wifi capability, I do not want any expensive data charges. If this phone is not possible to do so, I know some are, but I do not know which. How about the Htc Touch Diamond? Or any other phones you guys possibly know of that can disable the data function.
View 10 Replies View RelatedIs it normal for my Eclipse to totally freak out when I plug more than one phone in at a time?
Either my Hero or my Droid work fine solo, but if I try both at the same time they both become unrecognised and I have to then restart Eclipse (2 minutes of waiting) before I can go back to using just one phone. Kinda sucks having to unplug and re-plug phones all the time. I have 8 USB ports and no specific combination I can find seems to help.
Plugging in more than one phone also crashes my DDMS.
I dropped my phone down the toilet and now my phones touch screen wont work. At first it worked fine could use it how I did before, then it went dead. I dried it out and left it off. After 24hrs I turned it back on and the phone needed to reset it self, this was done. My phone has totally reset now but the screen don't work. There is a lot of condensation on the screen. How do I get rid of this?

I am using a ubuntu linux machine with 2.4Ghz CPU, 2 GB Ram. I would really appreciate any help in resolving this. I am totally stuck due to this.
I go to settings from the icon, and there is no option to change my Data Sync options! It has totally disappeared. I'm running AOSP 1.6, but it was just there earlier today. I only did a Nandroid restore recently, but I can't think of anything I did to make it re-appear if it was already missing. Help!

View 3 Replies View RelatedHad the x10 for a few months now, and at the start i loved it!! Yes the battery life was an issue but got better over time although can basically never leave any apps running.
But now, my touchscreen is totally messed up, i touch one area of the phone and it either doesn't respond or it just starts going crazy. Countless times i have had to either lock my phone and try again or switch it off completely which is a task in itself because of the screen not responding so the only solution is to remove the battery. When texting, i for example will press the letter a next thing i know its hit every other key other than a. I'm even struggling to answer my phone when receiving a call as again the screen won't respond correctly to unlock it.
My partner got her phone at the exact same time and hers is doing the exact same thing. Is this a common thing for the handset?
I want to be able to download and install my app from my website, but when i do this at the moment i get the error:-
Download unsuccessful - Cannot Download. The content is not supported on the phone.
After looking into this it became apparent that the PHP Magic, that handles the downloads from the website, recognises the file as a .zip file rather then a .apk file and sends the it a .zip, that the phone does not recognise.
Does anyone know a way to get PHP Magic to recognise the file as an apk so that file extension does not get changed and the phone can recognise it?
Since the upgrade I get email alerts (gmail and yahoo) everytime I get an email. I have looked and looked and cant' find where to turn it off at.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had my Hero just over a month now and yesterday for the first time i received a facebook notification on my Hero. Since i have had my phone I've never seen this. I normally get a notification telling me that i have a new email which sometimes is an email from facebook telling me i have a new invite or what ever. But this notification was a facebook specific one, it had an icon of an 'F' (of Facebook). Does anyone know what option needs to be turned on so that you get Facebook notifications on your Hero? I obviously switched something on which is no longer running cause im no longer getting this notifications.

I am trying to get an alert when I get to my home. But, it looks like I am not receiving the message. Googled around quite a bit, but to no avail. I am able to get the LocationListener to display my current location. But, proximityAlerts are not working. The problem might be with the setting up and receiving the broadcast messages.
