How do I go about completely deleting page history on the browser? If I press the back button it still takes me back to pages I've visited throughout the day.Also, how do I make the home page load automatically when the browser is launched? I don't want people to see the smut I've been on during my last surfing session.

The dropdown in the browser navigation bar shows every site that I've been to . How do I clear it? Menu>more>History>Clear History says my history is cleared but when I go back to my browser and tap the navigation field it's all still there - every site I've visited for days! Ditto if I go to Menu>More>Settings and clear the forms, history, cache, and cookies. So how do I clear the browser navigation history?

On the browser I pressed Menu, More, and deleted all browsing history, data, cache etc. So when I checked in history there wasn't any websites listed. BUT when in the browser you click on the back button, you still can get to the previously seen sites. So how can you totally delete your browsing history?
View 5 Replies View Relatedmy newly bought Tattoo became unbootable a few days ago.It worked perfectly fine two days ago, then it started to randomly reboot itself, but after that, it became completely unbootable, as in, it was stuck at the "TATTOO" screen. The phone internals are completely untouched, no custom images, not rooted, no nothing, it's factory fresh.The battery is full too, and I didn't install anything that could possibly have corrupted the bootloader (or whatever is failing to load).I already tried to wipe the user data _TWICE_ (using HOME + BACK + POWER) with no success. I'm also perfectly able to get into HBOOT (using VOLDOWN + MENU + POWER), and connect via usb (using "FASTBOOT USB" from HBOOT). However, I can't completely wipe the cache with fastboot.exe from the android-sdk, since it doesn't allow it: "erasing 'cache'... FAILED (remote: not allow)".

I have poor reception anyway But I found out that if I stand near a wall in my office an tile my head at 55 degrees, then I get 'ok' reception (exaggerating) But this is with other phones. The Tattoo doesn't want to know And I have to move to somewhere where there is a much stronger reception
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am thinking of getting one of these for my girlfriends Xmas but would be getting it on a tariff without a data plan, relying on wi-fi for any data requirements. We were in the orange shop briefly - so i could sneakily test the water as to which phones she likes - She likes the look of the Tattoo and loves the idea of custom cases (her idea of a good phone is very superficial) but hasn't used a smartphone for any longer than 10 minutes. She doesn't like WinMo because it is very straight-laced and business orientated. I played with a hero in the orange shop and found it a pleasure to use but i have been using smartphones for a few years now. I have a couple of questions :
Will the Tattoo be usable/of any use without a data plan? What will work? what doesn't?
How easy is Android to use for a complete beginner to smartphones? She currently has a Samsung D600 (which she loves). Is she going to struggle to use basic functions?

I've had my Tatto for a couple of days and wanted to pair it with my bluetooth headset for driving. The headset is quite new, but has no makers ref on it so can't find out what it's setting are, but when its on and the Tattoo is scanning, it is never found... I have also tried making the Tatto discoverable during this process as assume its a two way process....

If you open the notifications while this is happening it shows a bunch of commands alternating quickly in random order including Camera Shutter, Low Battery, Undock, Keypress Spacebar, Keypress Standard, Keypress Return, Keypress Delete, Lock, Effect_Tick, Video Record, Unlock.There may be others but this is all I can comprehend as they go by really fast. So i was busy installing apps and moving them around my screen when i accidentally hit the auto-brightness toggle on one of my newly installed widgets, i went to hit it a few more times to restore my previous brightness, but my screen totally turned off. The phone is still on, if someone calls me i can hear the ring tone perfectly.

The Samsung logo and Galaxy S boot-up are visible, but when it normally shows the unlock screen its completely black
My phone has gone completely silent, it does not ring for an incoming call it just vibrates, silent mode is not on, I do not get any sound alerts at all for any messages. I have done a factory reset and it is still the same. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Either my Hero or my Droid work fine solo, but if I try both at the same time they both become unrecognised and I have to then restart Eclipse (2 minutes of waiting) before I can go back to using just one phone. Kinda sucks having to unplug and re-plug phones all the time. I have 8 USB ports and no specific combination I can find seems to help.
Plugging in more than one phone also crashes my DDMS.
