I would like to download some movies for my phone, but want to make sure that I am downloading from a reputable site. Can anyone recommend a good site for this? Also, I see some of them offer to download in ipod or DivX (not sure what DivX even is) formats. Should I choose one of these formats or just choose DVD format and convert it? Is there specific settings I should choose for the Eris? I really am new to this, so dumb it down for me ok?

So my phone has been super slow, lagging, kicking me out of the internet, no calls when people say they call etc. I talked to Verizon and they want me to do a hard reset. Is this necessary?? It scares me to possibly lose all my stuff. So if I need to do this then what do I need to make sure is backed up??
Would love some help with this b/c my phone is really starting to frustrate me. My husband was in the store yesterday, sent me a txt and when he got back in the car asked me why I didn't respond. By the time I got his text, wrote back and it finally sent he was back in the car! So yeah lagging is such a great thing!

The problem is that after I successfully connect to my network, I am unable to browse the internet, access the Market, or use any music apps which require internet access. I have verified that my phone is capable of doing all of this while connected to an unsecured wifi network, however, my network is secured. I'm not sure if that's what the issue is.A little bit of info about my home network - I have a Motorola SBG900 cable modem w/built-in wireless access. I have it setup for b/g network, WPA/PSK, etc. The strange thing about this is that I have two laptops, & my iPad setup on the same wireless network and all of them are able to access the network with no issues.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi am not sure if this has already been addressed but i know one of the main advertisements AT&T has done is the iphones ability to surf the web while on a call and verizon's inability to do so, well i was playing around on the call settings and what not while on a call and i pressed home expecting it to take me back to the call screen and instead it took me to my home screen and i thought, why not, so i tried to open the browser and it worked. i was kinda surprised. so i tried to open some apps as well and it also worked. i am just wondering why AT&T is boasting about this when we have the ability to and sprint likely has this ability also bc of the similarities between the hero and the eris.

View 14 Replies View RelatedTried to make a call today and it just sits at dialing and where it usually shows 1x icons its not there, just signal bars and gps icon. I thought reset would fix it but no, tried calling my phone goes to voicemail.
So I backed up my data and used reset in the security settings. Successfully made activation call to *228 and thought the problem is fixed, however when I tried placing call again it just sits at dialing screen for few seconds and ends the call.
For instance: when I click on a video on cnn.com, the phone goes through the motions of downloading it and then I get a message: This content cannot play on this device.
When I go to the YouTube app and click on any video displayed, the message is Cannot play video. Sorry, this video cannot be played. The videos that I took with my phone and are stored on my SD are playing OK.
On my droid eris, I keep having a problem with my Internet browser randomly closing. I have the haptic feedback on the soft keys, so I know I'm not hitting the home button.could out be a virus? Any suggestions?

Seriously Android drives me nuts. On a daily basis I will toggle between 4 different home screens, 3 different music players, 4 different internet browsers various wallpapers, various weather widgets. I'm sure if I was able to settle one having the same layout on a daily basis I wouldn't be charging my phone 2 times a day.

View 4 Replies View RelatedFirst of all I have a Droid X flashed to Cricket.All was well including 3g internet.That is until last week when I decided to upgrade to 2.2.I lost the internet.Went back to where I had it flashed.He had to wipe the phone and reflash it.This included him pushing the file to the phone that gives me internet.The phone worked the rest of that day. Then the next morning the phone kept locking up.I took it back to him again, he wiped it reflashed it and pushed the file again with the same result of it locking up.We found that it was the internet file that was locking up the phone.As of right now it is flashed without the internet working. If we push that file to the phone it locks it up. The same file that gave me internet when I was on 2.1.My question is, is there a way for me to be on 2.2 and get the internet on Cricket?Why is this happening? How do I make it work without going back to 2.1

I have Wave Secure and it doesn't have an option to turn my GPS on remotely, Lookout Mobile Security is the same way and Where's My Droid app requires GPS to be previously enabled.
The Internet location ability's accuracy within 200-1000ft radius doesn't seem useful if my phones stolen. I don't think walking from door to door, trying to listen in on each house for my alarm would work out too well.
Any app that could turn my GPS on remotely via codeword text or Internet site would be extremely useful.
I occasionally like to use my Rhapsody application to stream music for coctail parties. The only trouble I have is I'm always afraid my music will get interrupted by a phone call and knock out the song. IS there a way to turn off calls to have uninterrupted streaming of music without worry of a call coming in?
