Almost every time I click on People, the pictures for some of my contacts (and it's always the same thirty of my seventy-odd contacts) disappear and don't show up again for hours. This did not happen before the OTA.

I have facebook synced up to my contacts so that their fb pics can also be their contact photo, except they only show up half the time. is anyone else having this problem? it was sorta annoying before but now it's really bothering me because I just DL'd the handcent update and now they have the contact pics next to the chat bubble. Is there anyway to keep the pics on there at all times or any reason they go away?

Now after the OTA update, the links are all but not there. I have two people, me included whose Facebook profile picture still shows. When I go to re-link someone, I no longer get my full list of Facebook Friends to link their profile to.

It has the best facebook app on its homepage and IMO it is way superior to any out there.The browsing is super fast and you have the ability to download videos from your favorite sites to your sd card. Probably my favorite app side from personal assistant.

I've had my phone for about 4 days, I synced my contact card in people to my Facebook account right away, ever since it's said I have a 157 wall posts. It shows up under the updates and events tab in people. I've tried scrolling through all the notifications, but they won't clear.

Sometimes it's every 15 minutes, sometimes it's every 24 hours. What's the deal?Is there a program I need to ignore using ATK? I leave Gmail, Messages and Clock running all the time. Last night I linked all the contacts in "people" with Facebook (for people that are on FB). When I press "phone" now it lists nearly all my facebook friends. I did not add them. How did this happen? Oddly it did not do all of them. It stopped half way through the Ts. As much as I like all my "friends" there are least 200 of them I do not want listed on my "phone" list. How can I remove them from the phone list? There does not appear to be any way to delete them. When I do the "people" program they are not listed there. Is there anyway to remove these friends from the phone list and if I do will the phone try to put them back there?
Is there any way to have multiple phone numbers for the same person in favorites? I want to have my wife with her cell number and her work number there. It appears that I can only have her once in favorites with one number. It would also work if I could select which number when I pressed her button. It does not look like this is possible. Any ideas?
Alright, so I'm pretty terrible with birthdays and other important dates so I started adding some of them to the calender. Suddenly I thought to myself, "Hey is there a way I can do birthdays, anniversaries etc from my people contacts and facebook and link them in one shot to my calender." Is this possible? Is it possible to have it send daily reminders as the date approaches? I see the option to send a reminder a day to a week in advance but does it send out reminder every day from the reminder point to the day of the event?

View 4 Replies View RelatedBefore I upgraded to 2.1 OTA, my contacts had no problem syncing with Facebook (both manual and automatic). Here is what happens: I go to a contact, find the bar that says "Link to Facebook" or whatever it says, click it, then type in the name of the person to search Facebook friends, but no matter what I do it says that there are no matches. No one else has reported this problem, so I'm guessing it isn't a problem inherent to 2.1. Could you guys provide some input as to what I need to do to fix this?

View 13 Replies View RelatedSo in early May, I got the Android update thing for my Droid Eris. I started it, and it took forever. Ever since then, I can't link my Facebook account to my phone. I've seen a lot of similar situations but nothing exactly the same. I can't link any of my phone contacts to my Facebook contacts. I have the Facebook for HTC Sense and the Facebook app. I can log on and view my Facebook accout, etc but when I go to People my contacts don't have pictures. I've tried to go to menu > settings > account & sync and remove my Facebook for HTC Sense account and manually sync or whatever. Still didn't work. A "force close" message appears every time I try to sync, yet my Google accounts will sync. I've tried going to each contact and manually link them to their Facebook profile but nothing even loads, as in it will say I have no friends to choose from (whomp whomp). I finally gave in and installed that Sync My Pix app but I'm not satisfied. Mainly, because that app saves all the contacts pictures in my photo albums and it doesn't do their status updates, etc. Really, I just don't want an app to make my phone do something it's already suppose to do.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter installing Facebook 1.3 and 1.3.1 on my Eris with 2.1 my Google Contacts are stuck in a sync loop and draining my battery. It tries to sync, gets an error about contact sync not being available, tries to sync, gets error, etc over and over. Since I'm not able to uninstall Facebook, only uninstall upgrades, going back to an older version causes the non-stop syncing to stop. WOO HOO! Has anyone else experienced this? I want the new Facebook 1.3.1, but the I can't live without contact sync.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have all of my contacts linked to their respective facebook accounts, but the pictures that show up when I go to my People never update with the facebook pictures, they have stayed the same since the day I linked the two regardless of how many times the person has changed their default picture since then. Is there any way for me to change this so the pictures in my People update with facebook? Since they are linked I assume they should be able to do this.

The process com.htc.bgp constantly force closed, and no linking could be made or is some cases only a part of the facebook contacts were synced.
Different fixes has been suggested by users online but none of them worked

Anyone know if you sync your calander events from facebook (ie. birthdays) to the stock android calander? Ive been digging through settings and havent found a way to do it yet. I know you can view them from the contacts menu but would just like them to show up in the calender.

My Eris won't sync my Google, Facebook, or Twitter accounts. It last did so last Monday, 11/15. I have had emails, messages, tweets, etc. sent to me, but they never sync to my phone, I have to go online to get my Gmail (refreshing within the app does nothing), but refreshing manually from the Facebook and Twitter apps does work. Going into Settings > Accounts & Sync > Sync Now does nothing, and all of the settings here are correct.I've tried rebooting and pulling the battery, but it still does it. Haven't installed anything new recently, since my internal storage is full.

View 2 Replies View RelatedLike everyone who's updated to 2.1, I'm experiencin the same bugs with Facebook (i.e. all my FB contacts show up in my dialer and my txt msgs). Anyways, I was toolin around in Accounts & Sync under Settings. Right now, the accounts I have set up are Google, Weather, and Facebook for HTC Sense. When I click Add an Account, there's something called just "Facebook," in addition to the "Facebook for HTC Sense."I've always known there were two Facebook apps (or whatever you wanna call them) on my phone, cause when I want to share a pic I take, I can do it using either "Facebook" or "Facebook for HTC Sense." I always share the picture using "Facebook" because it allows me to post a comment as well.Anyways, getting back to Accounts & Sync, I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on how these two apps differ. Maybe if I choose to sync the "Facebook" account as opposed to "Facebook for HTC Sense," that could solve some of these issues we're all having? I have no idea, but I'm hesitant to do anything for fear of clogging up my phone's contact list with Facebook friends.

My phone memory is around 33% whereas my husband's memory is 64%! He has very few contacts and I'm wondering if the syncing with Facebook is taking up all my phone memory (vs SD Card memory which is fine).
The 'People' widget has all my phone contacts that I synced with Gmail. The 'Phone' contacts are everyone I have as a friend on Facebook. I do not want all my FB friends showing up in the 'Phone' contacts and there does not appear to be a way to delete them. In other words, there are "friends" I have on FB that I have no desire to call and I just don't want them in my phone. Is there any way to make the 'Phone' contacts match the 'People' widget?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have both a gmail and an exchange email account and have the contacts from both nicely synched in the people app. HOWEVER, if I select a particular contact from the list and toogle along the bottom to look at the "mail" option, it only shows emails from them that came in to my exchange account. It never shows emails from any of my contacts that originated from my gmail account. All the other options work great for text messages and updates etc, so I am not quite sure how to resolve this so that I can see gmail emails too.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo on my way to class the other day listening to the media player in the car was just fine, I plug it in to one of those little FM transmitter things and it bounces along under my e-brake handle just fine. But when I parked my car and plugged in my headphones things went bonkers. It started skipping tracks, fast forward, and rewinding tracks, and finally started calling people, I called a friend of mine 4 times. When it started doing it again tonight I did some investigating and discovered that it's recognizing my headPHONES as a headSET. I tried it with my roommate's headphones and it started as headphones but if I twisted the plug the little microphone would appear.So I guess this is a 2 part question.
1.) Can I turn off the microphone of a headset through the phone?
2.) Has anyone else encountered this problem and how did you fix it?
