View 10 Replies View RelatedI purchased the HTC Incredible and got it last week. In the last couple of days, I noticed the buttons at the bottom of the phone were sometimes lit and sometimes not. I went into the Verizon store today to pre-order the TV out cable and asked the tech about the lights. He said HTC was aware of several bugs and there will be an update shortly that will remedy them. On the TV out cables, they're all sold out. They're selling like hotcakes - same as the Incredible.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince the update, I'm getting blue, green and purple notification lights? Do I know what they mean? No. Can I find them in the manual? No. Am I frustrated?

View 14 Replies View RelatedOne of my favorite devs, and creator of the Bedside app has come out with a hack app that turns those pesky LEDs off while the DROID is in the multimedia dock. Until Google fixes this issue, this work-around for us rooted owners is just the ticket.
Look for Softbuttons Lights Hack on the Market, or CLICK HERE from your DROID.
I've had my Droid since they came out last year. Somehow I was able to configure notification lights for Gmail and Handcent, but I don't remember how. I had to wipe my phone and start over and now I can't figure out how I did that. I have Touchdown Pro for Exchange and that allows me to customize the LED for that app, but I can't find the settings for Gmail or Handcent. I know they used to be there, but I can't remember what I did to make them appear. I must have installed a third-party app, but I have no idea what it was. Any idea how I did it? I'd really like to get those notification LEDs back!
View 5 Replies View RelatedThe clock is still to bright in night mode and the button lights stay on still. I have updated to 2.1 and was hoping it had been fixed of someone found a work around for this.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am not having a single issue with my phone, not a one. No contacts missing ,backlights not working, no rebooting on its own I absolutley love my Droid ,it even took two drops and not even a bruise. How many other of you are not having any issue with your DROID ?
View 37 Replies View RelatedI have found ( and I willing to bet many already know this) that the sensor in the upper right side of the screen is what determines if the button lights are on or off. In a well lit room the lights will be off, if you cover that sensor or darken the room the lights come on.
What we need is someone smarter than I am to make an app or widget that disables that sensor when the phone is in the dock, if that is possible.
So has anybody done this yet, I could imagine 2 small mirrors attached on to the back of the camera would do the trick to angle the lens to face the front. It would have to be clipon to work over our cases. Any pics of this actually being done, if not lets get some pictures of future attempts at this. That would be finding fantastic.

View 10 Replies View RelatedDoes anybody knows how to add "1" in front of a number? I'm in Canada right now and they don't let me call directly "303-333-3333" for example. I can't add the 1 in front of it by editing a number that called me. All my entries don't have a "1" and most of them are long distance.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo the picture im posting is from droid-life and was one of the first leaked shots of the droid x. So I just wondering if anyone else is as pissed as me at the fact that they delayed this phone just so they could remove the front facing camera and place it on the droid pro when that comes out later this year.
View 9 Replies View RelatedFrom all the pre release stuff I saw it looked like the Droid X was going to include a front facing camera. At the announcement today the pictures of the X looked like there was no camera and I haven't seen it mentioned. Is there not going to be a front camera on this phone. Doesn't matter to me, but I'm trying to talk my wife into getting one of these and she really wants a front camera for video calls.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi was messing around with ADW Launcher and when i put my phone down i flipped it over and noticed the phone had froze. Didn't think a whole lot about coming from an Eris it was nothing i wasn't used to.Well when i pulled the battery and went on the market place, i noticed the Keyboard wasn't lighting up.Then i noticed even the front facing buttons were lighting up, now mind you i'm sitting in a rather dark room with my laptop watching a movie so it def should have lit up.I've reset the phone a few times now and still no backlighting and i don't know what settings they are under.

View 2 Replies View RelatedInstead of sliding across to unlock the phone. You can use one finger to hold the green icon, then you'll notice a little green icon on the other side of the screen (where the sound off icon usually is, it disappears when you hold the unlock icon). Then just tap that one too and it unlocks.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have this really crappy eye disorder I inherited genetically. It means my ability to see low light when other light is on is really poor. It's called Retinues Pigmentation. When the screen of my HTC Hero is on, I can't see the physical buttons at the bottom at all, they just come across too dark to me in contrast to the light screen. What would be really be ideal is for the buttons to stay on as long as the screen is on. Basically, if the screen is lit, so are the buttons. I know this would deplete energy, but it would be totally worth it for me. Do you think there is any way I could implement this, and is there someone I could mention it to for the future?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI wanted to use my HTC for an alarm clock because then i could save the electricity that my old alarm clock uses. Sometimes i wake up and have a look at my alarm clock but now i have to reach over and get the phone and press a button to get it to light up...very bright in the middle of the night. SO....What i was thinking. If i buy a charger stand for my hero is it somehow possible to tell the phone to run the screen lights on lowest light setting when it is charging... This way i would be able to se the clock without being blinded. IF this is not an option would someone please pass this on to goggle/htc as a request or tell me how i do it.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI noticed when I get a message, the notification light will only last a little while before it stops blinking. Is there a setting to keep the notification light going until the notification has been checked?I don't like having to power it up to know if I have a message, email, or missed call. I just like glancing at it to see if the light is blinking.
