Anyone one else's phone makes a one little vibration a second after pressing "call" button?
Maybe its like "careful, your about to talk to someone" vibration ?

This is really annoying and I can't figure out how to get it to stop. When I'm in a call and get an email or text message, the phone vibrates as it normally would- causing the person on the other end of the line to hear a really annoying noise.. Is there a way to turn off notification sounds/vibrations when you're in a call.
View 9 Replies View Relatedevery time I make a call, receive a call, turn the phone off, turn the phone on, loose service or gain service, a voice says "Verizon Wireless". This is very annoying and I can't seem to figure out how to turn it off. Changing ring tones and such does not work, still says "Verizon Wireless". Is there anyway to turn this off?

When dialing numbers, it has the haptic feedback for each number, and when you press send it vibrates for an outgoing call. Any one know how to turn these off?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI wrote about this earlier, I had an issue when making a call the screen stays off and I cannot access the keypad or anything while on a call when I remove the phone from my ear. I had this happen again today, but noticed it went away when I took the call indoors. This seems to be an issue when I make a call outdoors, maybe it is the bright sunlight, but the screen refuses to come back on when i am on a call outside. I had to use the keypad to make selections on a call today but was unable to since the screen stayed off. Have others noticed this happening in bright light calls outside? Also, what can be done to correct this?

View 18 Replies View RelatedNot sure how to fix this, but several times when I make a call and try to end it, the screen stays off and I cannot hit the END CALL button. This has happened a few times when I dialed the wrong number and wanted to just end the call before it connected, but when I flipped the phone back over from my ear it stayed off and the call kept going. Also, sometimes it will flash on for an instant then go back off again, still cannot end the calls.
View 45 Replies View RelatedI would like to intercept outgoing calls and pass them to a VOIP application. I see that the Google Voice application has a feature for displaying a question before each call is actually initiated. It provides the user with the choice:
Initiate call via Google Voice
Initiate call via standard call
I would like a way to do something similar with my application (so that not all calls have to be routed through it). At the moment, I can intercept CALL events via a BroadcastReceiver, however, these are not allowed to open dialogs (thus making it possible to display the choice).
What is the best way of achieving this goal?
Is there a way to alter the intensity of vibration or the type of vibration for different notifications? Same goes for the LED light

View 17 Replies View RelatedI updated my phone to 2.1 via the OTA update. Noticed that the really annoying vibration for home, menu, back, and search is finally gone!
But allowing you to turn off all vibration would be just too uncool. So HTC invented yet another !@#$ vibration when the phone connects after you press dial.
Is there a way to turn this off? I looked everywhere but can't find any option to do this.
Wondering if there are any creative ideas/hacks/apps that can make the vibration on the Eris even a little more noticeable? I think it's fair to say this is a VERY weak vibration feature, and a lot of folks have a hard time feeling it vibrate when a call or notification comes in.
I'm assuming it's a hardware thing, but thought maybe there are some creative workarounds.
I really like most everything else about this phone, but I cannot feel it at all when it's set to vibrate, so I'll definitely be missing calls & texts when carrying it around on my belt (or even pocket) as it's usually in vibrate mode then.
Anyone know how to find the option to stop this vibration? It started when I upgraded to 2.1 and can't find the option to turn the it off. I know when I'm calling someone, I don't need a vibration.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy phone no longer vibrates in vibration mode or for any other setting for which I have vibration turned on. My haptic feedback disappeared at the same time.
Haptic feedback is checked yet there is none. I have rebooted and pulled the battery to no avail. My phone is useless in vibration mode since it no longer vibrates.
Anyone have a clue why this would have happened? One minute it was working the next it wasn't.
I would like to know whether I can shut my sounds and vibrate modes off so that my calls and texts will come through still, but not make any noises. I don't want to keep shutting my phone off every night.

So we both got Moto droids on it's first launch but the Camera sucked horirbly... as well as the keyboard was iffy and it was too heavy
2 weeks later we got Eris...but noticed a big difference in the eris and the droid. While the dorid, in my opinion, is big and ugly and too rectangular...it's faster vs a nice looking lighter eris but i understand the processor and fragmentation of the OS and all that Jazz
So then he told me about the Pre plus and we tried it and I love the concept of the OS however I want to come back to the eris because A)lack of apps, B)Call Quality sucks on the Pre plus 3)I love Android and all it's features
Yet when i came back to the eris it's still slow even after i did some update to it(idk what the update was for as it's still on 1.5). So are there any suggestions as to what I can do about making my phone lag less(5 seconds to open an app or load messages or emails is ridiculous) and the battery is horrible but i hear I have to "train" it. I don't understand why I would have to train something to not die but idk.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and please keep the bs & rude comments to yourselves

How do I turn off the vibration notification while I am on a call? If I am on a phone call, and I get a text or email, the phone vibrates. I want this feature of course while I am NOT on a call, but while on a call people on the other end of the call have described it as a duck being murdered. I have tested it myself and cant disagree with them.

While I can make the phone vibrate, I want to emulate the exact pattern that the phone vibrates with as when it receives a call. I want to know if I can make web pages appear larger on the screen when I'm using an internet browser. Before the 2.1 update I never had an issue seeing something but now I have to turn it vertical and squint really hard to see web pages, then pray I hit the right link b/c it's so small. I just want to increase my view but the options I've tried under settings must not be the right thing.

Since the update to 2.1. When i make a call it dont ring says its making a call and its counting up. But no ringing. I have to turn off my phone and turn it back on, then it works.
