Are there any apps out there that will allow me to put widgets on my lockscreen? I'd really just like to have the weather show up. I am not rooted and I'm running stock 2.1.

I know about Lock 2.0 but from what I've seen it's not too great. Anything else? Also, can someone give me an explanation on what better cut is? Is it like a different version of sense and home? Is it worth it, or is there something better?

And in those 3 months, there have been probably thousands more new apps out there for our phone.So, what are the favorites? And what are must-haves? This goes for games as well. Are there games that are still getting constant play on your phone?In my opinion, Handcent and Shapewriter seem to be my favorite and necessary ones. As for games, I keep playing Cestos.

in a perfect world, it would show which apps are running and how much power or wake time they are using. i've tried to turn off as much as i can, yet my battery life still sucks sometimes, and i'd like to find out what is responsible for it so i can change that setting.
most of the power management apps i've seen just tell you battery level and health.
Anyone using any cool apps/widgets for organizing your photos and music? I'm not a huge fan of the stock ones and am looking for something else I might like.

1 - Last night, I put a background app on my Eris and downloaded a couple. Got the message just fine that they were saved to my SD card.
2 - This question in two parts.
A - Where the heck are they? I went to look for them in the settings area, and I can't find them in any "gallery." What am I doing wrong?
B - Once "found," how do I save them to a gallery that I can use to change the lockscreen background?
Again, I can't do this on a PC and rooting is not an option for me (one, I really don't know much about it, and two, I think you lose Sense UI which I like and don't want to get rid of).locate any files on my SD card. As a matter of fact, the only option shown in my settings for the SD card is "Unmount SD card." The Format SD Card is greyed, so it's not letting me choose it even if I wanted to. Is this a setting somewhere else?
Im on a eris running xtrROM 4.x and want to change the lockscreen to the new droid x slide version. I searched and seen something about gridlock but am confused.

If clicking the widget just opens the program then to me it's not really a widget even if the program creates an entry in the add widgets menu. So what are your favorites?
So every time you guys are flashing different roms and stuff, are you starting from scratch downloading all your apps and configuring widgets and your home screens and all that stuff?I'd like to play around with different builds but the thought of setting everything back up, potentially multiple times, is daunting. Are you using something to backup/restore this stuff?

I am looking to put Beautiful Widgets on the lock screen without having to put an app to edit the lock screen. I swore i read somewhere and seen it on a picture, but I don't know how to do it. Is it a setting that i am missing or a launcher or something. Any help would be great, like i said, I have been looking for a little over 2 weeks and can't find anything but Fly Screen and Lock Widget locker or something. Both of those are great programs, but not what i am looking for.

It's more than a little frustrating as my customized home screen was pretty heavy on the HTC widgets.

I am rooted and using Suave Smash, but I'm willing to DL a different music program if I need to. View 2 Replies View RelatedI was having issues with the home clock/weather thingy on my Eris so I downloaded Beautiful Widgets - my husband is running it on his Moto Droid and loves it. Anyway, ever since I installed it two days ago the widgets keep turning themselves off and on.This morning I put the phone in vibrate mode and several hours later (after I missed a call) I looked and phone was in silent mode with vibrate mode still turned on. Also, twice now my mobile connection has turned off by itself. (I have the HTC widget installed on one of my homescreens.) I only discovered this when I tried to browse a webpage. Who knows at what point the mobile network was turned off. I don't exactly know how beautiful widgets turns itself off but it's concerning to me that it could also turn the mobile network off somehow too. (I have to assume BW is causing the issue as it had never happened before it was installed.)Help? Ideas?
