Im on a eris running xtrROM 4.x and want to change the lockscreen to the new droid x slide version. I searched and seen something about gridlock but am confused.

My last thread turned into this so I'm just starting over.. How can I do the previously mentioned? Prefer to do on phone. I have the tools ninjamorph, metamorph, and rootexplorer.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI know I've changed my lockscreen wallpaper before but for some reason now when I go back to try and change it again it won't work.Let me rephrase that.I start at my homescreen, hit my menu button, select wallpaper, select lockscreen, and instead of giving me an option to use a pre-saved wallpaper or a photo from my album, it just drops me immediately into my photo album..
View 1 Replies View RelatedOkay, so after that commercial w/ that shiney new sliding keyboard on that samsung phone, I rushed to find a slide keyboard. I did. It was called SlideIT keyboard and it was ugly but performed SO well I kept it. Now they have a trial and it is annoying as hell and doesnt have dictionary saving unless you buy the new version.. I WOULD, but I cannot find it in the market. Nor can I find the other sliding keyboards.. I seem to be stuck .I upgraded to the 2.1 on my Eris.. do you think that's why I cannot find it?

1 - Last night, I put a background app on my Eris and downloaded a couple. Got the message just fine that they were saved to my SD card.
2 - This question in two parts.
A - Where the heck are they? I went to look for them in the settings area, and I can't find them in any "gallery." What am I doing wrong?
B - Once "found," how do I save them to a gallery that I can use to change the lockscreen background?
Again, I can't do this on a PC and rooting is not an option for me (one, I really don't know much about it, and two, I think you lose Sense UI which I like and don't want to get rid of).locate any files on my SD card. As a matter of fact, the only option shown in my settings for the SD card is "Unmount SD card." The Format SD Card is greyed, so it's not letting me choose it even if I wanted to. Is this a setting somewhere else?
I know about Lock 2.0 but from what I've seen it's not too great. Anything else? Also, can someone give me an explanation on what better cut is? Is it like a different version of sense and home? Is it worth it, or is there something better?

It's really quite awesome. I went ahead and bought the pro version. I've only been using it for about 2 hours or so, but if you enjoy organized information, this is fantastic.

When I would get an MMS slideshow on my Blackberry, it would auto-play and I could view it no problem. When I get an MMS slideshow on the Eris it shows up as a text message with an attachment and each slide is a separate image inside that attachment and I have to click on the initial attachment then I see a list of all of the images and I have to click on each one individually to see it, then back out of that image and rinse and repeat. Is there anyway to get this to work right?

Anyone can see this, without having to unlock the phone. Is there a way, using the stock messaging app, to keep this from happening? I don't want to add another third-party app just for that.

Everything installed fine, but nothing happens when I swype. Manually typing works but when I swype it just shows the line makes a noise and nothing happens.

Do we know if someone is working on rooting the leak versions? I know a lot of questions. My phone works really well on ver2 and I am afraid to go to ver3 and get the crap everyone else is dealing with, but root would be nice. On a side note, the app Quick Settings says "No APN Configured" under the G/3G tab, I know this relates to MMS and Internet access but I can't find any info on the subject (ie. how to "configure" my APN)

I just got off the phone with Verizon Tech Support because my POP3 e-mail was being deleted from the mail server. I have the "Delete mail from server" off and I have performed the Factory Reset. The Tech Rep told me that it is a "known issue" and that a software update will be coming out to fix this issue. The Rep did not know when, but it's in the works.
