I know I've changed my lockscreen wallpaper before but for some reason now when I go back to try and change it again it won't work.Let me rephrase that.I start at my homescreen, hit my menu button, select wallpaper, select lockscreen, and instead of giving me an option to use a pre-saved wallpaper or a photo from my album, it just drops me immediately into my photo album..

First off, I'm a Mac user so doing these changes while synced to my computer are not possible (I
1 - Last night, I put a background app on my Eris and downloaded a couple. Got the message just fine that they were saved to my SD card.
2 - This question in two parts.
A - Where the heck are they? I went to look for them in the settings area, and I can't find them in any "gallery." What am I doing wrong?
B - Once "found," how do I save them to a gallery that I can use to change the lockscreen background?
Again, I can't do this on a PC and rooting is not an option for me (one, I really don't know much about it, and two, I think you lose Sense UI which I like and don't want to get rid of).locate any files on my SD card. As a matter of fact, the only option shown in my settings for the SD card is "Unmount SD card." The Format SD Card is greyed, so it's not letting me choose it even if I wanted to. Is this a setting somewhere else?
I know about Lock 2.0 but from what I've seen it's not too great. Anything else? Also, can someone give me an explanation on what better cut is? Is it like a different version of sense and home? Is it worth it, or is there something better?

My phone seems a little more laggy than before. I'm running aloysius v11 and oc to 710 and was happy with the snappy feel and no lag. The aloysius dialer seems to be lagging a bit, going to a black screen for just a second then the dialer comes up. could i have done any damage to my phone with this lockscreen? Once I realized what I did, I did a wipe/dalvik wipe and nand restore. the restore took and my phone was just like before i did this lockscreen thing. but now seems slower. maybe my imagination.
When I recieve a text message, the lockscreen displays the name of the sender and the first few words of the message. Anyone can see this, without having to unlock the phone. Is there a way, using the stock messaging app, to keep this from happening? I don't want to add another third-party app just for that.

But when I go to the lockscreen wallpaper in settings, it only allows me to choose a few OEM wallpapers. Here is the problem i want to set the whole picture as the wallpaper but when you set as on the eris a box pops up the picture and you have to adjust it. View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got the eris a couple weeks ago, and then the trackball died so verizon sent me a new one. Now on the new phone when I try to change my homescreen wallpaper, it always wants to zoom in on the image. I'm not sure how to explain it, but it will let me use the full width, but not the full length while looking at the phone with the buttons on the bottom. So I have an image that is 320x480, and it wants to crop it down to 200x200 for example. It zooms in and makes it a square, instead of a rectangle like the screen is. I just want the wallpaper to be what it looks like when the image first opens from the photo album app. But as soon as I try to make it a wallpaper it wants to zoom in and make the photo look dumb.

I went into Astro, and it says my phone can't recognize the file type...but then if I specify to open the file in Astro as an image, it will.Got any ideas on what I can do to make this work? We know that with the OTA we won't be getting live wallpapers, so for the people that want them I say we should try to port it over to the Eris. Unfortunately I have close to no knowledge on how to port. If anyone knows how to and is willing to it would be greatly appreciated.

I saw a TV commercial with an android phone (not sure which carrier) but as the person scrolled thru the 7 screens, there was a different background image/wallpaper on each of them. It definitely was HTC Sense UI that I saw in the commercial.
If not, is there an app that can do this?
Can someone learn me how to delete my lockscreen? I just want that simple lockscreen with the 2 buttons. I tried the install-extras.bat in the root file in the sticky thread but it doesn't work. It tells me to reboot my phone and flash the image but the image isn't there.
