Dec 11, 2009Newbie here. How do you delete widgets from the Eris?
View 9 RepliesNewbie here. How do you delete widgets from the Eris?
View 9 RepliesI just recently did a hard reset of my Eris and while it fixed the problem I had, it deleted some of the original widgets that came with the phone. Like the one all HTC phones have(weather and time). Is there any way of getting them back?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI know you can delete them from the screen, but I can still go into running apps and see that it's trying to run. Any way to completely take the Social Networking/News/etc. widgets completely off the phone, or do I need to root?
View 1 Replies View RelatedHow do you delete the widgets/shortcuts on the seven home screens. I accidentally put something on the same home screen twice and want to delete one of them. And how do you order them how you want them to be?
Then, how do I sync my iTunes library to the phone?
I'm talking about the groups that come on the phone, like VIP and co-workers, anyway to delete them? They don't show up when I go to delete groups, only the ones I've made do.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to delete the groups that come with the phone, like VIP, Favorites, Family, Friends and Co-Workers.
I am running the latest 2.1 leak, and yes, my phone is rooted. I would think if anything, this would make deleting the stock groups easier!
First post here. Been reading for a few weeks and just got my Eris on Sunday. I tried a search for the answer to this question, but came up empty. It probably has been answered before and I just can't find it. Does anyone know the correct way to delete out any scenes that you have saved on the phone? I got over anxious right away with it and ended up having 4 saved scenes on top of the 6 from HTC that are already there. I would like to have just 2 extra ones total and be able to delete out 2 of them. That would give me basically the 6 HTC scenes and then a USer1 and USer 2 type of thing.
View 5 Replies View RelatedHow do I Block or delete all the email spam I get on my HTC Droid Eris? I use outlook and set it up with a pop account on my droid eris. I get hundreds of spam emails a day and it seems only option is to delete them. I have seen one Spam Application but am Leary to hand over email password to the app.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI apologize if this has already been asked and answered. Obviously I'm new here and not real sure how the search function goes.
Anyway, can I delete the 2.1 file off my SD card once it's installed on my phone? If so, what's the easiest way to do that.
I cannot erase any texts in my Eris!! Whether I select just one person (and therefore one thread) to delete or deleting my entire inbox, my phone locks up, messaging crashes/force closes. My phone is incredibly slow and I'm assuming the plethora of messages is at least partially to blame.

View 23 Replies View RelatedSo I was just curious as to what widgets people are running on their eris. I am currently running the stock facebook widget, twidget lite, scoreboard widget, the nexus one news and weather widget and the stock music widget. I am currently running home instead of sense and was just wondering what other good widgets are out there.
View 9 Replies View Relatedwhen i trying to remove widgets off the screen it starts shaking crazy after trying to hold it down and then it shows me all 7 screens. does anyone else have this problem ? im trying to make my eris look cool.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhy would someone need to use Beautiful Widgets on the Eris?It already has 7 screens with widgets.Just wonderin'.
View 13 Replies View RelatedWell, I just got my OTA update, and now there is only one Sense Widget available on my phone. There are a handful more available via the market, but none of the ones that I had previously used. Has anyone else seen this happen?
It's more than a little frustrating as my customized home screen was pretty heavy on the HTC widgets.
I cannot figure out how to remove widgets from the widget list that I no longer wish to use. For instance, I use Calendar Pad and it came with about 7 different widgets. I use one of them. I'm never going to use the others. Dazzle is another, there are 4 different widgets that came with the widget from the marketplace but I only use one, never going to use the rest. I'd like to simply remove them. But can't.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI can't be the only one that this doesnt work for right? I updated earlier today and it was posted many times that the get more htc widgets feature was fixed...Is their a setting I need to configure for this to work, or am I just s.o.l?
View 49 Replies View RelatedSo what I'd like to do on one of my corner screens is have 4 music widgets, each one set to a different playlist. is this possible? I am rooted and using Suave Smash, but I'm willing to DL a different music program if I need to. The playlists are already created and accessible in the music app, I would just like them in a widget on the screen.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAre there any apps out there that will allow me to put widgets on my lockscreen? I'd really just like to have the weather show up. I am not rooted and I'm running stock 2.1.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was having issues with the home clock/weather thingy on my Eris so I downloaded Beautiful Widgets - my husband is running it on his Moto Droid and loves it. Anyway, ever since I installed it two days ago the widgets keep turning themselves off and on.This morning I put the phone in vibrate mode and several hours later (after I missed a call) I looked and phone was in silent mode with vibrate mode still turned on. Also, twice now my mobile connection has turned off by itself. (I have the HTC widget installed on one of my homescreens.) I only discovered this when I tried to browse a webpage. Who knows at what point the mobile network was turned off. I don't exactly know how beautiful widgets turns itself off but it's concerning to me that it could also turn the mobile network off somehow too. (I have to assume BW is causing the issue as it had never happened before it was installed.)Help? Ideas?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just thought that I would share the differences with my home screen between sense and helix. The bottom bar on helix is perfect, and can be used to change the default dialer and still have it 'stuck' on the bottom. Helix gives you a lot of space to clean up, and you can add/remove screens and get rid of clutter. If your a freak about the layout of your phone, like me, you should really give helix a try.
The only thing I miss is the HTC animated weather widget, is there any way it could be ported over?
They obviously use a different source for the actual weather information, but I don't think the HTC weather widget is that integrated into sense that it wouldn't work on helix...Can anyone explain why it doesn't (or so far hasn't been ported)?
When I have an HTC Clock widget on my home screen the time does not update fluidly. The clock will display the correct time only after I've unlocked the phone and given it several seconds to update. If I swipe over to another screen, wait any period of time (the longer the better), and swipe back; the clock will display the time at which I left that screen and again needs several seconds before it leaps to the correct time. I've tested this theory on the native Android clock widget and it worked correctly. IMO, it defeats the purpose of having the HTC clock widget when the clock in the notifications bar is always accurate. I am also using ATK but I've made sure the Clock process/app is in the ignore list.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI know this has been brought up in the past, but last mention of this is about 3 months ago. And in those 3 months, there have been probably thousands more new apps out there for our phone. So, what are the favorites? And what are must-haves? This goes for games as well. Are there games that are still getting constant play on your phone? In my opinion, Handcent and Shapewriter seem to be my favorite and necessary ones. As for games, I keep playing Cestos.

View 16 Replies View RelatedI did the 2.1 droid Eris update, and found a few issues.
One might just be me, but I had my droid set the way I wanted it to be before the update, and now I have no clue how to get back to my original settings. So, trying not to sound like a dumbass here.
1. When I turn the phone off and then back on, my messages widgets goes away from the screen I have it on. All that shows up is a little folder that I have NOTHING IN. And it's really starting to bug me, 'cause I love that little widget where I can just cycle through the messages.
Do I have to lock just that screen? It's the only widget affected when the phone goes on and off.
2. None of my contacts got erased; however, I noticed that my one primary is set to text, but when I go to edit the profile, it's set to call. This one I might just leave alone, but none of the ringtones that I have set for them are working. I saw a thread earlier about the People thing, but I'm not sure if I fixed this. And how would I go about changing the primary method of contact (text/call) or is set permanently like that?
