There are many different changeable fields and I REALLY don't recommend changing any. I wish I could just to play around but I don't want to fight Verizon again for a new phone.

Oct 21, 2010Why is it that Andoird apps don't have a close or exit. Having to hit the escape key a bunch of thime to exit an application.
In that regard the RIM OS works much better. I knew exactly what was running and what I wanted to close.
It is particularly annoying with the internet app. One has to navigate backwards through as many sites visited for the stupid thing to finally close.

Mar 24, 2010I have been running the old leaked version of 2.1 on my phone since the day it was leaked. Today I installed the "new" leak, and now when I restart my phone I get an error saying, "the process com.htc.bg has to close due to an unexpected error." Then it makes me force close the process. My questions are, 1) does anyone know what this process is for? and 2) How do you suggest I fix this issue? Should I re-download from a different mirror? I have already tried re-flashing the zip that I have on my sd card.

May 5, 2010It isn't easy to summarize the problem in the title.So in 1.5 or 2.1 v1 or v2, it was very rare for the Sense UI Home app to have to re-launch.By this I mean when you click the home or back button to return to your Home screen, instead of seeing the home screen you see the black screen with HTC on it, then you wait while it loads the Home application.This very rarley happened before v1.3. Now it seems to happen at least once or twice a day.I don't have more apps installed than I did before, I shouldn't be any more out of memery than I was before.

Jun 21, 2010Sometimes, after the phone has been in sleep mode for awhile, when I hit the power button to wake it back up and then the menu button (or swipe) to open the screen, I get that circular bar pattern followed by what look like the browser trying to launch. The screen is white, with a white address bar area, too. Then that screen goes back to the circular bar pattern, followed by the white browser screen again, after which it just closes. Very odd. Doesn't do it all the time. Seems to be random. And after a hard reset, sometimes the first time or two I use the browser, it just force closes on me. Again, doesn't do it all the time. (At first I thought I accidentally hit the home button, or something, but I didn't.)

May 25, 2010Since receiving the 2.1 OTA it seems that the camera is not closing properly after exiting. I first noticed this after I received the OTA update and just assumed I needed to do a factory reset, which i did yesterday.I checked it again this morning, took a pic, waited an hour and a half, and voila it's still eating battery at a prodigious rate as compared to other apps and systems currently consuming battery. The only thing I've found that works to date is rebooting the phone.Any ideas? anyone else experiencing this? My 1.5 ran beautifully and 2.1 is too, (I'm in the Frisco camp) with the exception of this camera glitch.

Feb 10, 2010My phone "eris" was in my back pocket for about an hour as I was Food shopping. When I took it out It would not come out of Lock screen / sleep state. The Only thing that brought it back to life was taking the battery out and replacing it several times. I did not Sit on the phone or bump it in anyway that might have caused this. Also, when I put it in my pocket, the screen was already locked. This has happened about 4 times in the last week and the phone is just past the 30 day window for a return. On a side note, I recently installed Beautiful Widgets Version 2.85 and have noticed the phone will not go to sleep. I even unchecked the notifications option and chose all the different weather refresh settings, but it still would not sleep. Is this a bug or just the way the program works? By the way, When I say sleep I don't mean clicking the "End" button and locking the screen, But the internal phone "awake time" as found under phone status.

May 31, 2010First off, i use chomp for my messaging. Whenever I get an MMS and hit download it downloads the photo and right before it shows it I get a notification saying that "messages needs to force close" then the photo will pop up in chomp with no problems.
