I use handcent as my default SMS, I have the widget on my home screen. When I receive a text the green number 1 that shows I have a text does not disappear after I read the text. I have scrolled through to be sure I don't have an unread text. this has happened several times so I don't think it's a fluke one time thing. any advice on how to clear the SMS new text symbol?

Trying to figure this out switched to Google voice after clearing out my voice mail for T-Mobile. It says that there are no messages but the icon wont go away. I've tried clearing from the task bar but it gets rid of everything except the voicemail icon any tips?

I cannot get the unread email count to clear from the stock HTC email app. I have two exchange accounts set up and after I read the mail, whatever the unread count was just prior to my reading it sticks. It stays there until the next time I get email and then the new count stays there.

Did a search but couldn't find anything on this. I don't have a single song on my Eris. And probably only about 20 pics. Very vew apps. Which tells me this is all based on my email file. I sync'd up both the Sent Items and the Deleted Items about a week ago and I'm betting that stuff has filled up my card. If there a way to clear those two buckets? I really don't need Deleted and Sent on my phone. Didn't realize it would take so much room on the card. Anybody have any ideas?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had my eris for awhile now, no problems thus far Today, 3 times now I've gotten a text (first using handcent, now chomp) and when I pull down to clear/read it in the notifcations tab, sometimes its disappeared and then when I go into the messaging app, its GONE! WTH? Is there a setting I messed with that is making it do this, or how do I fix it?
I've had to ask people to re-send their text message, that gets pretty old for both of us. I rebooted and have yet to see if that has done anything, I havent gotten a message since I did.
I have a battery, and back door for sale, and a clear screen protector for sale. I upgraded to the 3500 mah battery.

I go to manage applications/dialer and clear dialer storage and it works fine...as long as I do that or reboot the phone every few days. I found this solution on another forum, but couldn't find much discussion or analysis of the problem.
Does anyone else have this problem? Any long term solutions? It's happened since I got the phone months ago and I have very few apps... almost none when it first started. Not using Google Voice. Still running 1.5.

When i first got the phone YouTube worked fine, and then i started experiencing the following message. "Sorry, this video cannot be played".However i found that when i cleared my search history the videos would then play. For those that don't know how to do this. In the YouTube Application: Menu>Settings>Clear search history.You don't have to exit the application after clearing your search history but you may have to go back a page and then re-select your video.This has worked for me time and time again.

I haven't had any crashes or forced closes since I did this.
Ocassionaly, when responding to a text, the area you type in for me that says "Tap to compose" is greyed out and when I type, nothing happens. Usually requires a reboot. Anyone have any idea why it would be doing this or how to fix it? I love my phone, but the reboots take forever.
