The first screen to the right from the main screen is where favorite contacts go. I was trying to figure out how to delete one of those contacts from my favorites and I sent the whole screen into the remove box and deleted it (I've since figured out how to remove a singe contact). How do I get that screen back?

I just installed the new update for the droid eris and everything is working perfect except for the fact that all of my contacts have been deleted. Anyone have any idea how to fix this problem.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo as the title states, I'm an idiot and delted everything off of my SD card. The idiot part comes from me getting all gitty about the 2.1 v3 update, not thinking about the pictures and videos that I didn't back up (my music and ROMs already were backed up) and deleting my SD card purposely to get rid of all the old, unneccesary files and folders. Anyways, is there anyway to get these old files back? I've seen another post about a file recovery program but it wasn't very specific.

I can still add/remove contacts to and from my favorites but I don't know how to get favorites log back on home screen. Any ideas?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I got my new Eris, the Verizon guy offered to swap my contacts from my old phone to the new one (as usual). He did so. After getting home, I noticed he'd also downloaded all the accumulated contacts 9 mostly crap) from my Google Mail account as well. I went and deleted them all but now I keep getting a notification saying that I deleted TOO MANY? It then gives me three choices, one of which is delete them. The notification keeps coming back.

I'll go look in the "+" categories and find it. I can't. Any ideas how to get it back? If you haven't changed any of the screens, scroll to the one just left of the first home screen...that bar.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI don't know if I'm missing something in the settings or what, but every time I shake my Eris while running an app the screen automatically goes back th the home screen. This gets really annoying when using apps that require such actions. Anyone else having this issue or know what I'm doing wrong. Maybe an app that's causing it.

One being when I am talking on the phone and I need to hit a button how do I get my screen to turn back on? Sometimes its like the phone knows it needs to turn back on and other times I fight with it. Also the battery life is killing me but I do use it alot.
View 4 Replies View RelatedForgive me if someone else has asked this, but I searched the forum and couldn't find an answer.I understand that the proximity/light sensor turns off the screen when the Eris is next to your ear to prevent "face dailing", etc. And, I understand the screen comes back on when the sensor senses light. Ok, that works fine.BUT, what do you do if you are using the phone in the dark? When I pull the phone away, the screen will not come back on because it does not sense light. For example, trying to delete a voicemail if you're using the phone in the dark. I've tried every button to re-activate the screen, and the only one that will work is the "End" key. And that obviously ends the call.
View 8 Replies View RelatedSo i was having issue with my favorites disappearing. It was a pain with my Favorite People widget.It has to do with your sync. To fix it, you have to go to the gmail website and add your favorites to the website. If you don't it will keep syncing your favorites with the site, thus the disappearing. I would think it should be a 2 way sync, but I guess not. Either that or this is a syncing bug

View 5 Replies View RelatedI notice on my eris that when i am on a menu with a black background that if i hit my back (bottom button) a little firmly, right above the button on the lcd kind of changes colors. Like if you press your laptop screen, its only a little bit though. If you could, please try this and report back.

i cannot for the life of me get it back. verizon says it was lost after the upgrade. i put the "people" icon on my now when i need to call a friend who is on my "favorite" list, i hit that icon, it brings me to all contacts and at the bottom i then have to depress favorites which brings up groups, then hit favorites. like 4 steps to make a phone call?
anybody figure out how to get the favorite icon back on the phone screen?

View 3 Replies View RelatedA friend of mine has the HTC Incredible and asked me, since I have the Eris and they are pretty similar, how to change the default action in Favorite people. When he set up his wife as a favorite, he accidentally chose to "send text" as the default action. He wants to change it to dial her cell number. I read the instructions for my Eris on how to do this.It tells me "To change the default communication method for a favorite contact, press and hold the contact, and then tap Change default action."When I do this, I do not get an option to change default action. Same for him.

Well it didnt work now i have no youtube app. Can someone post a youtube.apk for me to download and install from the Droid X 2.2 leak (rooted). Note I tried the ported EVO version, it just force closes. I think i need the exact one from the droid x 2.2 leak. Sadly the designer deleted my wallpaper in the last update and in this one he deleted my ring tone and notification tones. How can I back up these choices and add them to the newest version of the ROM? The new version is much quicker and I want to use it but only with those tones.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had the Eris for 3 days now and I mostly get the hang of it. I'm running 2.1 (newest build).
Last night I linked all the contacts in "people" with Facebook (for people that are on FB). When I press "phone" now it lists nearly all my facebook friends. I did not add them. How did this happen? Oddly it did not do all of them. It stopped half way through the Ts. As much as I like all my "friends" there are least 200 of them I do not want listed on my "phone" list. How can I remove them from the phone list? There does not appear to be any way to delete them. When I do the "people" program they are not listed there. Is there anyway to remove these friends from the phone list and if I do will the phone try to put them back there?
Is there any way to have multiple phone numbers for the same person in favorites? I want to have my wife with her cell number and her work number there. It appears that I can only have her once in favorites with one number. It would also work if I could select which number when I pressed her button. It does not look like this is possible. Any ideas?
