Apps like Swype and ports like Genie have all been given to us for manual installation and can not be found on the Market. Are there any other goodies out there for 1.5 that have not been released on the Market?

how to enable the easter egg of 4.2.2, I always tap the version of my android in setting > about phone but then it always tell me that "First install that app MuSaddiq told you to!".

View 13 Replies View RelatedHope you guys can help. Since the 2.1 update I have certain apps which appear to be opening in the background when I didn't open them. I have Advanced Task Killer, and when I go in for example it shows Messages running, when I kill it, it will reappear in 30 secs or so, the same with MP3 store. Can these apps be stopped so they don't take up memory or what's the deal here. Thanks for any help.

Google Maps & Latitude, Youtube, the Market will not load properly and will either give error messages or won't load at all. Gmail, Voice, Gtalk and the web still work. I have did a couple reboots, pulled the battery, cleared the cache and nothing has helped. Any suggestions short of a factory restore or the Verizon store?

I went to install my apps and my purchased apps aren't listed in My Downloads.According to the help for Market I should perform a factory reset. Dutifully reset the phone, signed in and still no apps.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI don't think that this was an issue prior to receiving the OTA update earlier this morning, but when I display 'All Programs' there are multiple entries for several programs including Bubble, MySettings, Paper Toss and ShopSavvy. Has anyone else experienced this? Nothing looks unusual (e.g., duplicate entries) when I go to 'Manage Applications'. I just cannot figure out how to get rid of the duplicate program icons.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use them a few times then uninstall them. The only ones I keep are chomp and taskkiller. Everything else I use a couple of times then never use them again. Not until weeks or months later do I re-install them only to un-install them again. I've already reset my phone 3 times. Reason being, even if you uninstall the app some stuff still remains. Phone starts to get slow after a while.I think I'm just addicted to downloading apps.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI use Taskiller to "kill" or end active programs that I'm not using, so as to reduce battery drain. I notice with 2.1 that every time I power up, lots of apps are launched automatically. This wasn't the case with 1.9. Anybody know if there's a way to prevent this?
