View 8 RepliesIs there any way to view HTML emails with HTC mail viewer? I know I can with the googlemail app. I have tried changing email size to "No Limit" but the option below of "message format" is greyed out as "plain text". Any way to change this to HTML?

View 1 Replies View RelatedGiven the following HTML: <p>This is text and this is an image <img src="http://www.example.com/image.jpg" />.</p> Is it possible to make the image render? When using this snippet: mContentText.setText(Html.fromHtml(text));, I get a cyan box with black borders, leading me to believe that a TextView has some idea of what an img tag is.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI want to set a TextView with SpannableString which is from the method below: Html.fromHtml(String source, Html.ImageGetter imageGetter, Html.TagHandler tagHandler) But the ImageGetter here need to override the method below: public abstract Drawable getDrawable (String source) Because I need to get the drawable from the internet, I have to do it asynchronously and seems it is not.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'd like to get better html e-mail rendering on my Droid. I recently tested Touchdown and it did a fantastic job with html exchange e-mail. I decided I didn't need all of its functionality nor did I want to spend $20.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo only because I haven't taken the time to figure it out, I still have two mail apps. The gmail app and the mail widget. For some reason, when I get mail it will from time to time show up in the email app. It always shows up in gmail, but every now and then, it will also show up in the mail widget. The question I have is, why will HTML mail only show the attachments/pictures in the mail widget. The same email will not display in gmail. How can I get gmail to show HTML images?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am developing a Java Android application that displays web content from the assets folder in a web view. I had no problem getting this content to display in the application but I am confused as to why my images are not displaying properly. I'm working with a Motorola Droid that is supposed to be 480x854 resolution. When I create banner images using these dimensions and attempt to display them in the web view they're enormous and they flow off of the screen. It doesn't appear that the web view is actually 480x854. Can somebody let me know what I am missing here? I do not know what size to set the images to so they are just right.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to load/reference images from the app's assets folder from within a HTML page in a WebView. Unlike in most of the examples the HTML page itself is not located in the assets folder but is loaded from a server via http. The background of this question are some performance improvements which should reduce the loading time (and the amount of transferred data) by loading static images directly from the device. I'm not sure if Android has some restrictions here because there's a certain possibility to exploit the app by allowing access to the local file storage from a remotely loaded webpage.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOn my i*hone, Exchange Mail provided full HTML support. Gmail provides HTML support. Why does the built-in Email client not provide HTML?
I don't want to use Touchdown or something like it - is there an Email client I can use that can provide this? I am using Appriver for Exchange which I thought was 2007
I want to send the Email in HTML format. Currently i am using the default text format using the Intent.

Recently I did a bunch of updates and started using google now. My phone performance has been significantly degraded as a result.
My most pressing issue is that after taking a photo, when I go to view it, it shows as normal brightness for 1 second and then gets very dark. This happens for every image as I scroll through them individually. It appears that I now have some sort of editing option or maybe google photos or picassa has hijacked my viewer. When I click on the gallery app this dimming issue does no occur. I am unable to view photos from the camera after taking them.
I have a video that was sent to me at my gmail account and it was sent by a Black Berry. The video played on the BB but when I tried to view it in the message from my phone, I could not even download it. In the email, it has a paperclip with a point to the right, and the name if it is VID 00028.3GP (262kb size). I could not do anything with the attachment and when I touched the paperclip icon, it wouldn't do anything. I forwarded the email to another person and she could view the video- from her iPhone.
So, that's my dilemma and I hope you can help. By the way, I am a Verizon user and my Droid 2 has Android version 2.2. If you need anything else, please let me know. If you want me to send the movie to you for troubleshooting, please PM me and I will. It's just the winning touchdown to my University's game today and I don't mind sharing it- because it was awesome but I'd like to know why I can't watch or download it.
I have one html file and I want to load that html file in view for loading ping images. I was doing:

This in xml file but how to load html file in view?
I want to add my gmail settings to the native mail app and use that for gmail instead of using the gmail app. I dont like how you cant attach a file other than a photo using the gmail app and I like the layout of the native mail app.If you add your gmail account to the native mail app can you still receive push email? I plan on disabling the sync settings for google in the main settings but that shouldn't affect an account added to the main mail app.

View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes it exist an Android view equivalent to a "<select>" HTML input element ? In my application, user should fill a form. I know that ListView can display a list of elements but I think it's not relevant for a form.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFirst off let me say this...best phone that has EVER touched my hands. Now that being said, does the native gmail app NOT have the ability to properly view html emails? I get emails from multi sources (I.e. Costco, Sprint, etc) that get loomed in and I have to pan around the email. I tried pinching or double rapping but o no avail. Anyone have a decent solution for said problem?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to deal with the blurry images from the Eris's camera but enough is enough. Unless my subject is completely still for 10 seconds, my picture is looks blurry. Does anyone have this problem? Could I fix it in settings? I am currently using the 5 meg pixel setting.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSince I loaded the OTA update on my Eris I've had pretty much all the known issues, including silent bug. I did a hard reset this morning (knowing well from too much reading that I'll probably still need a new handset because it won't fix the silent bug) but I totally thought it would fix the issue of my contact id photos appearing super grainy when I make or receive a call. Minor issue, yes. But totally annoying when this didn't happen EVER before the update. Anyone know a fix? I couldn't find any answers by searching. Most of my contact pictures are from Facebook.
View 14 Replies View RelatedWith the HTC Bookmarks widget on the Eris how do you add images to the bookmarks you add? All of the bookmarks i've added are just black, and i can't for the life of me find out a way to cange the image.

One of the many things that dont make much sense to me on this phone. I have 2 ways to get email. The native email app retrieves gmail normally and thats where there is no image. There is another mail icon for just mail and thats used to set up exchange or another pop3 account. well i wanted to try the mail HTC widget and in order for me to do that I had to set up pop3 to retrieve gmail. So now i have 2 apps retrieving gmail. i sent myself an email from a different email to test and it was all text, no box with ?'s or nothing. I hit menu then more then settings. in send and recieve there is an option for max size limit. by default mine was set as 5kb (text only) i changed it to no limit. resent the email and when i opened it there were the ?'s again but there was also a show HTML images and once i clicked it I had imbedded images, but only using the Mail icon not the gmail envelope still. think i might disable notifications for the gmail one and use the one that works.
