With the HTC Bookmarks widget on the Eris how do you add images to the bookmarks you add? All of the bookmarks i've added are just black, and i can't for the life of me find out a way to cange the image.

Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications -> (scroll) Battery (or Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications -> Menu -> Filter -> 3rd Party -> Battery) The thing is 1.25 Mb in size, and has every system privilege under the sun. Honestly, why does a battery widget need to be able to read my bookmarks, browsing history, SMS messages, know my GPS location, yada? Compared to most apps, the thing seems pretty bloated, too - 1.25 Mb?

View 7 Replies View RelatedLooks like the bookmarks within the Bookmarks Widget are posted in the order that you surf and are NOT subject to any type of sorting. However the bookmarks within the Bookmarks Application launched from the browser's menu are sortable. Is there any way to make these two independent bookmarks list sync with one another. I know there's an application out there to manually sort the widget's bookmarks but I want them sync and match.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI noticed that the stock bookmark widget comes preloaded with several bookmarks. These bookmarks also have thumbnails associated with them. After I added my own personal bookmarks to the widget, I noticed I did not get a thumbnail of the site associated with the bookmark. Is there any way to add a bookmark and also get the thumbnail? I use Dolphin HD as my default browser.
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust thought I'd share that I downloaded Dolphin HD and it really is quite different from the stock browser. Seems faster, has nice features for eBay and Amazon, and just like how it handles. Maybe because it's different.
Question for Dolphin vets: I use the bookmarks widget as one of my homescreens, and when I click a bookmark, it does it via Dolphin. Fine. But when I click on the little globe at the top, it defaults to the stock browser. How do change this to be Dolphin? I've looked under Settings > manage apps, but nothing really asked me about which browser to make default.
I like the HTC ones, but like something that takes up half the space (ie. half a page). I've tried scanning the market, but have been unable to find anything.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I first got my Desire I used the stock internet browser. I added a bookmark for netcarshow.com. After a while I started using Dolphin HD which I found to be far better, and started adding several bookmarks to Dolphin. Fast forward a month or so and I'm still using Dolphin HD and have been using LauncherPro for the past couple of weeks.
The problem is when I add the LauncherPro Bookmarks widget to a homescreen. It only shows the bookmark for netcarshow.com; my saved bookmarks in Dolphin are nowhere to be seen. They all show when using the browser, but not in the LauncherPro widget. I've looked through every setting for Android, Dolphin and LauncherPro but can't find a way to import/export the bookmarks. Also used Astro to look for bookmarks folders (to copy/paste) and viewed the SD card using USB on my PC, but unable to find any stored bookmark data. The LauncherPro widget is excellent but I can't figure out how to get it to display the Dolphin bookmarks, any ideas?
I have been using LP Plus and absolutely love it, transformed the phone IMO. I am however, having problems with the bookmark display in that it is not displaying the web pages in the widget as it should be, it just comes up with the name and a standard image. I have tried just going into the page but it doesn't work.

I have a full page (4x4) to fill, and would like something that shows either a scrolling list or a collection of thumbnails of the sites. The stock Android widget only shows 6 thumbnails (non scrolling) and the HTC Bookmarks widget will only show 6 bookmarks, 5 of which are links to Orange webpages that STILL show after I deleted them! I have a fairly short list of about 10 bookmarks, stored by Dolphin, and I want quick access to them from my homescreen without placing individual icons.

I even have to bookmarks on the same website, just a link to 2 different forums...one shows up, one doesn't. Cant get the mobile or desktop version of espn to show up. Almost none of my desktop bookmarks showed up so i made some mobile ones and only about half show up. I've rebooted my launcher restarted chrome, restarted the phone etc etc.
Haven't found another widget where all thumbnails show up either, at least htat will work on ics/chrome.
GS3 running Apex launcher if that matters.
I have been trying to deal with the blurry images from the Eris's camera but enough is enough. Unless my subject is completely still for 10 seconds, my picture is looks blurry. Does anyone have this problem? Could I fix it in settings? I am currently using the 5 meg pixel setting.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSince I loaded the OTA update on my Eris I've had pretty much all the known issues, including silent bug. I did a hard reset this morning (knowing well from too much reading that I'll probably still need a new handset because it won't fix the silent bug) but I totally thought it would fix the issue of my contact id photos appearing super grainy when I make or receive a call. Minor issue, yes. But totally annoying when this didn't happen EVER before the update. Anyone know a fix? I couldn't find any answers by searching. Most of my contact pictures are from Facebook.

One of the many things that dont make much sense to me on this phone. I have 2 ways to get email. The native email app retrieves gmail normally and thats where there is no image. There is another mail icon for just mail and thats used to set up exchange or another pop3 account. well i wanted to try the mail HTC widget and in order for me to do that I had to set up pop3 to retrieve gmail. So now i have 2 apps retrieving gmail. i sent myself an email from a different email to test and it was all text, no box with ?'s or nothing. I hit menu then more then settings. in send and recieve there is an option for max size limit. by default mine was set as 5kb (text only) i changed it to no limit. resent the email and when i opened it there were the ?'s again but there was also a show HTML images and once i clicked it I had imbedded images, but only using the Mail icon not the gmail envelope still. think i might disable notifications for the gmail one and use the one that works.
Trying to get to the bottom of Android bug 2507, wherein I can only see boxes with blue question marks in lieu of embedded images in the native Gmail app (after hitting the "show pictures" button).
I was able to see the images in Android 1.5, but can't now in Android 2.1.I can still see attached images, just not those embedded in the body, like an HTML newsletter from Best Buy or whatever.

I was trying to send the pic in a "text" msg....I think??? I have NO idea what SMS means or MMS means. All I know is I hit share & then message. Also, is there a way to shrink images or format a pic to send?

I saw a TV commercial with an android phone (not sure which carrier) but as the person scrolled thru the 7 screens, there was a different background image/wallpaper on each of them. It definitely was HTC Sense UI that I saw in the commercial.
If not, is there an app that can do this?
