Jul 15, 2010Decided I'd try out this PandaHome that I've been hearing so much about. And so far, I really like it. Aside from it keeps alphabetizing my dock bars (I want the icons in a certain order) and my Lockbot Pro won't work.Is anybody using Panda and able to give me some solutions to these problems? The dock bar is not a HUGE issue, I can deal, but I paid for Lockbot Pro and I want to be able to use it.

Nov 9, 2009i downloaded the pandahome app and did really know how to use it as first and was annoyed with it constantly asking me what theme to use, so i set the home screen as default. now that i know how to use pandahome i want to to be the default.I have tired finding it in settings and deleting the defaults set. May 20, 2010I finally found my data card so was able to upgrade to 2.1 last night. Then I was uptill nearly 3 customizing PandaHome, only to have to uninstall this morning due to constant freezing and crashing. Is it just my phone? I was worried I messed up the upgrade, but everything is smooth now, but I really want custom icons. Anyone mind recommending home replacement apps?

May 4, 2010So I'm have been using PandaHome for awhile and really started to like it. When I updated to Warheads I really disliked Home++. So I pulled the PandaHome .apk, renamed it TwLauncher.apk, and replaced the Home++ TwLauncher. So far everything has been running fine. Just wondering if it is possible for anything bad to happen as a result of this.

Mar 7, 2010Just downloaded pandahome yesterday and ive been fooling around with it. Complaints so far: -where are all of the sense widgets, such as different clocks and the lanscape mini calendar? i cant find a wifi or data toggle
cant put widgets in docking bar. I think i like sense home better, except for one thing:
I love tha t the home screen can go into landscape view!
Is there any way to set it up to do this on sense home?

Android :: Newest PandaHome Update - Applications Not Listed
Jan 6, 2010When I bring up the apps tab none of them were listed. I uninstalled/reinstalled PandaHome, and now most of them are listed, but some are still missing. Also, when I bring up the tab the little bar that ran across the bottom to select letter to sort the list by disappears before you can even attempt to use it.

If you want to run your phone twice as fast without rooting, just install PandaHome [free] from the Market. It takes the phone from being utterly dead to very usable. I read there is another home replacement but its not free like pandahome. I like the behold 2 but I'm not sure why samsung decided to destroy a good thing. This could have been a very successful model had they just left the OS alone and not included bloat software.

Jan 26, 2010"Given that I am in the process of switching from my Sprint HTC Hero over to a Verizon HTC DROID Eris I have been paying more attention lately to accessories for the Eris, one of which was extended batteries. Personally I am not really sure that I need one, but at the same time, a little extra juice is always a welcomed option for a smartphone especially when you are a heavy user.That said, it seems that Seidio has two options available, a 1750mAh and a 3500mAh which are selling for $49.95 and $69.95 respectively.The main difference here, aside from the 3500 offering more juice (and being more expensive) is that the 1750 model was designed to fit with the original battery cover. And that means no extra thickness. The 3500mAh battery on the other hand will add some extra thickness, though its said to only be 3-4mm. The nice part here is that this battery does come with the replacement back cover.

Jun 7, 2010I'm new to the whole "smart phone" thing but I have been able to figure out how to all the things I want to do on my Droid Eris so far except one.I like to watch videos on Hulu and Adult Swim Fix. When I try to watch them using my droid eris, I get a message that says this content can't play on this device.I have been able to watch YouTube videos but not the Hulu or AdultSwimFix ones.Does anyone know what I need to do to be able to watch these videos?Is there an app I need to get or a setting I need to change?

Jul 13, 2010i have a droid eris and it does random things. For instance when exiting the browser it goes from home all the way to the left and when i go to slide it back to home it stops and slides it all the way back to the left. It will randomly call people, freeze up, hang up on calls, shut off while in a call, and change pages while on the browser, freezes up in a call so you cant go to different things while talking. Ive done a hard reset 3 times and and soft reset many of times. I dont want to do a master reset and lose everything. Is that my only option if so is there a way to backup the files and contacts on my pc. I have taken it into verizon many of times and all they say is to reset it and nothing else.

Mar 15, 2010My Eris does not seem to be taking advantage of the WiFi speed capabilities of my home network. I just tested my network in multiple ways. I'm getting good connection speeds on all devices EXCEPT my Eris. Here's what I did:
1. I went to Speakeasy.net and tested the hard wired internet connection speed to my PC. The result was 22 mbps down.
2. I tested the wireless connection speed to my laptop, also via Speakeasy.net. Again, 22 mbps.
3. I tested the wireless connection speed to my wife's iMac, also via Speakeasy.net. Once again, 22 mbps
4. I tested the connection speed on my Eris (repeatedly) via a speed test app that I downloaded from the Market. Only 2.5 mbps.
5. I loaded the Speakeasy.net website in my Eris' Android browser and ran the same test. Only 2.9 mbps. So, all wired and wireless devices in the house are getting ~ 22 mbps, while my Eris is getting significantly less. Specifications:
-Eris is running default Android 1.5 OS
- Home wireless router is a Netgear Wireless-N Router model # WNR2000 running in WPA-PSK [AES] security mode. "Mode" is set to the highest -- "Up to 300 mbps."

Jan 20, 2010Ive noticed now, that after about a week with my Droid Eris, although a love it, it seems to be running much slower than when I bought it. I just created this thread for people to add anything that might help the Eris run as quickly as possible.
1. power phone completely off every couple of days.
2. advanced task manager seems to help
3. clear browser cache!!! - this helped me immensely. Settings>Applications>Manage Apps> then find your browser and clear the cache. do this with other large apps.

Oct 6, 2010I am currently on my second Eris and I am having problems with my trackball not responding and something screwy with my camera not saving my pictures.
Right now I would rather pay to downgrade to another phone like a BB or even pay full retail value for a completely different Droid because I am afraid if they send me another Eris it is just going to break again.
If I call VZW and talk to them, will they send me another Eris that will most likely to break or will they send me a D1 or an Incredible?
I love my Eris but i just can't use it anymore and i feel like i will keep having problems if they keep sending me refurbs.

Nov 30, 2009I want to add my gmail settings to the native mail app and use that for gmail instead of using the gmail app. I dont like how you cant attach a file other than a photo using the gmail app and I like the layout of the native mail app.If you add your gmail account to the native mail app can you still receive push email? I plan on disabling the sync settings for google in the main settings but that shouldn't affect an account added to the main mail app.

Jun 23, 2010Hey everybody, I've looked for an answer on here, but to no avail. I tried to root my replacement Eris with 1.5, and HBOOT 1.47. Everything was going well until it got to the point of making a recovery, which for some reason, my phone wouldn't let me do. Infuriated and frustrated, I followed the steps to go back to 1.5 to a tee. However, I miss Vlingo so much, and i went to install the OTA 2.1, and it aborted the installation. I now have HBOOT 1.49.2000, so does my phone basically think I have the 2.1v3 leak, or am I just flat-out screwed? Done multiple factory resets, etc. and they haven't helped either
