Android :: Pandahome - Cant Find Wifi Or Data Toggle?
Mar 7, 2010
Just downloaded pandahome yesterday and ive been fooling around with it. Complaints so far: -where are all of the sense widgets, such as different clocks and the lanscape mini calendar? i cant find a wifi or data toggle
cant put widgets in docking bar. I think i like sense home better, except for one thing:
I love tha t the home screen can go into landscape view!
Is there any way to set it up to do this on sense home?
Your help is greatly appreciated, im still a newbie haha

I'm trying to write an Android widget that shows how much data has been transferred over 3G/WIFI/EDGE but I can't seem to find the API call, even though other widgets do this. Does anyone know what the API calls are to get the data usage?

I want to download a WiFi Toggle On/Off App on my Sprint HTC Hero. I assume this will save battery power. Correct? This will save battery power because when it's toggled off, it won't waste power searching for available WiFi networks when I don't need to be looking for them. Correct? I can go into Menu, Settings (so many steps) to change my settings to turn this on and off. So, there's Apps on the Android Market that can be downloaded to have a WiFi - On and Off - toggle switch. I went to the Android Market and there were so many!
Question:
What is the most recommended - simple - practical - no bells and whistles - most reliable - absolutely best that nobody beats it - WiFi - On and Off - Toggle switch? I see this one from Curvefish is quite popular: WiFi OnOff v1.2.1 Application for Android | Tools
Is this one the most recommended?

I tried google and forum search on this but can't find it. I read somewhere that the Power bar is a resource hog, and I'd be better off with individual widgets for each. Problem is, I can't figure out how to make a WiFi widget work through tasker. I get the icon, and set it to be WiFi toggle, but it doesn't actually do anything.

HTC Sense has a widget to enable and disable your data connection. I don't want to use Sense though, and since disabling it, I don't have that button anymore. Anyone know of a widget I can use?

I have a GS2, with Slimbean 4.2.2 build 2.5 recently flashed.
The long press on the Wifi toggle (notification area) allows me to get to the wifi settings screen, but the short press only works to turn off the wifi, it never turns it on.
Is this a slimbean only issue? A 4.2.2 issue? Something else that I could address?

I'm trying to customize my home screen. Where can I find the toggle switches for WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS? Are these separate apps I need to download or are they included already? I can't seem to find them.

Until very recently, I had a widget on one of my Desire home screens that allowed me to toggle mobile data with one touch. It was an official (HTC or Android) widget, and I found it so useful I wanted to use it as an example or how to put a widget on the phone for my Dad... who has also just got one.And now I can't find it again under 'Add to Home' 'Widget'.What's happened? Have HTC pulled it? I know there are thid-party options, but I'd like my original back!

I want a widget to toggle settings like WiFi, GPS, bluetooth etc all in one bar configuration as opposed to separate widgets. I saw one screen shot in this forum of a very clean, minimalistic bar where green = on, red = off (or something like that) for each setting, but I can't remember which post had that screen shot. I've searched and searched. Anyone remember seeing this? Or what search term should I use in the market to find this sort of widget with multiple settings on it?

On my Droid Razr I am using the "Power Control" Toggle Widget for my homepage...This widget can toggle Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Background Data, and Brightness. I use this widget to conveniently switch off these features to conserve battery life. Every switch seems to work fine except for the Background Data...I am able to turn on Background Data but when trying to turn off Background Data with the widget, although it does appear to be turned off because the icon is no longer illuminated...when I manually go into Data settings, the Background Data is still checked on.... What is the reason why it is not turning off with the widget

I just recently purchased a Galaxy Note 2 and have to say I absolutely love it! As I'm in the process of customizing it one thing I noticed is that there are no toggle widgets for independently turning on or off 3G or 4G as needed. I came from an HTC EVO 4G that had those widgets built into the Sense interface which worked great so that when I was traveling I could use 3G only if I was in that area or switch off 3G and goto 4G (WiMax), or switch off both when I was at home with an Airave.
I've looked throughout the Note 2 running android 4.1.1 and am unable to find any such widgets. I did download Power Widgets and Widgetoid but both seem inadequate by not effectively turning the radio on or off. Rather they take me to the screen to turn off the radio inside the android settings.
any good widgets that will turn the radios on/off with the simple press of the icon?

Looking for a simple data toggle I can put on the home screen to turn data on/off with one press. I don't need multiple button for BT, WiFi, Gps because of the touchwiz drop down. Anyone using one with any kind of luck?

I was searching online to see how to make a shortcut to toggle the 3G connection on and off without having to sift through multiple menus. I came across the method of having a long press on the power lock button to pull up the menu but mine does not show the network data on/off option and never has. It only shows
* Silent mode
* Airplane mode
* Power off
* Restart
Nothing else. Is there a way I can make a shortcut or some other way to ADD the network data on/off on this pull up menu from the power lock button? By the way why would my phone not have this option from the start when the phone came with Gingerbread and was updated to ICS 4.0.4? I have Sprint so they call this the Epic 4G Touch, so not sure if it was Sprint that buggered this from the other SGS2s that have this feature or not.

Decided I'd try out this PandaHome that I've been hearing so much about. And so far, I really like it. Aside from it keeps alphabetizing my dock bars (I want the icons in a certain order) and my Lockbot Pro won't work.Is anybody using Panda and able to give me some solutions to these problems? The dock bar is not a HUGE issue, I can deal, but I paid for Lockbot Pro and I want to be able to use it.

When I bring up the apps tab none of them were listed. I uninstalled/reinstalled PandaHome, and now most of them are listed, but some are still missing. Also, when I bring up the tab the little bar that ran across the bottom to select letter to sort the list by disappears before you can even attempt to use it.

If I change my Home to PandaHome/OpenHome how does it work? Will I still be able to set my Home with Widgets/Apps of my choosing like I do now or does it change everything and limit me to certain things? Will I have as many screens? What happens to the TouchFlo, will it still work?
