View 5 RepliesMy environment is:
1 Exchange Account - Push
1 IMAP (Gmail) - 2 hourly
1 POP (Hotmail) - Once daily
My issue is that I am receiving alerts for the same new mail repeatedly. Here's the gist:
11:50 - New mail hits my inbox.
12:00 - I receive a notification of the new email.
12:05 - I check my inbox, but choose not to open the email at this time.
14:00 - I get a notification of a 'new' email, yet on checking it's the one received at 11:50, but still haven't opened.
15:00 - Rinse and repeat. Now, I'm not sure how many times this is happening, or even if it's everytime, but there's something definitely glitchy with mail notifications.Has anybody else noticed similar behaviour? If not I may try removing/adding my accounts back in again.
Sorry if this has Been asked a million times but can I add a yhoo mail account to the android mail app? I have tried various settings in the manual add section but can't add a yahoo mail account. would much prefer not to use the yahoo mail app from the store!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got ALOT of accounts set up in K-9 Mail. It normally takes me about an hour and a half to re-set them all up. I've tried this method linked below, but It didn't seem to work for me. I would install K-9 Mail, then import the exported files. I also tried Installing it, setting up one account, and then importing the files. Both cases, it doesn't seem to import any accounts. Issue 549 - k9mail - Enhancement: Ability to export/import account settings. - Project Hosting on Google Code. I have both Titanium Backup (Paid) and MyBackupPro, and I can't seem to figure out how to backup the account settings in those either.
View 1 Replies View RelatedUsing a Yahoo-based e-mail that I linked up to the Evo. The e-mail on my phone doesn't update at all with what I do on the computer with the e-mail. So I can read and/or delete the e-mail on my computer and it still keeps it as in my inbox and unread on the phone. Thus, the phone can say I show 200 unread emails even though I've read them all. Is there a way to fix this or change the settings?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI setup my exchange email account but I noticed I am unable to change the mail format settings. They are set to plain text. Is there some reason why they can not be changed?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have both a gmail and an exchange email account and have the contacts from both nicely synched in the people app. HOWEVER, if I select a particular contact from the list and toogle along the bottom to look at the "mail" option, it only shows emails from them that came in to my exchange account. It never shows emails from any of my contacts that originated from my gmail account. All the other options work great for text messages and updates etc, so I am not quite sure how to resolve this so that I can see gmail emails too.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use nexus one, otherwise known as a google phone, and just got the 2.2.1 update. Upon updating I got a request for a security update for the Email app. It wants to be able to:
1. Erase all data (perform a factory reset, deleting all of your data without any confirmation)
2. Limit password (reset the types of passwords you are allowed to use)
3. Watch login attempts (monitor failed attempts to login to the device, to perform some action)
4. Force Lock (control when the device locks, requiring you re-enter its password)
Call me paranoid, but this, especially no.1 seems suspect. Why would an email client need this extreme set of privileges? My spidey sense is pinging louder than a gaydar next to a drag queen. Can anyone confirm if this is a legit update or if I just downloaded a trojan horse of some sort?
Like many other people, I have the issue where I cannot connect to my exchange e-mail because of security settings. I was able to resolve the issue the first time by using Lockpicker. I had to reset my phone, root, and install fresh rom again. Now I am trying to use lockpicker again, but it doesn't work anymore. I have tried everything I can think of and have searched extensively. Touchdown can connect, but there is no way I am paying for that when I was able to get the stock email app working the first time.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with an HTC Desire. I have an emailaddress that does not require authentication for the outgoing mail. I've unchecked the "authentication required" tickbox and saved the settings.
Somehow the phone automatically resets the Authentication setting and there I can't send email.
My question: how can I prevent the Desire from automatically place a checkmark next to "Authentication Required"?
On my old droid eris there was an option to "delete mail on server" in my email settings. the inc doesn't have this option.. it is quite annoying that every time i get on my actual computer i have to then go in to my email and delete those emails that i have already deleted on my phone. anyone else hate this problem?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been having reception issues with Orange and they are sending me a new handset to see if that is the problem. If I drag all the data from the old SD card to my computer and then back over to the new SD card, will that keep all the setting form the HTC backup settings? Or do I have to point it in the right direction.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a call log widget and a voicemail widget which look like the default mail app widget. That is, a simple small widget which show me the number of missed calls (if it's the call log widget) or the number of voicemails received (if it's the voicemail widget), just like the mail widget shows the number of emails received.

View 26 Replies View RelatedI'm new to these forums, and if there is already a topic about this i'm sorry but here it goes: My exchange mail synchronizes automattically when i open the mail widget installed on my HTC Desire. I configured my email account so that it only manually syncs, but when i open the widget it already does that. Do you have any opinions or ideas about how to solve this issue?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI posted a while ago about handcent (great sms program) and my thoughts on it clashing with the mail scheduling peak/offpeak, after installing 2.2 on and using only STOCK apps all has been well. But I installed latest handcent again 6 days ago and the stock mail app connecting to my exchange 2003 email server has stopped working for scheduled and peak times.I have uninstalled 2 days ago and i still have to manually start and stop the manual/push every morning and night. the only way i can see this fixing is doing a factory reset (which i am sick of doing)handcent have not commented about this and I am baffled as to why handcent would /could affect this process.

View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently updated my Desire to Froyo, and it seems I can no longer "search for mail on Server" when looking for email on our exchange server. Is there some new setting that i need to enable, or have the powers-that-be decided that being able to search for mail on a remote server is not a valid tool for a mobile device.
View 1 Replies View RelatedCan you only setup one Outlook Exchange e-mail account, I'm using it for work and I have 4 different accounts, my work e-mail address and 3 group mailboxes, I've setup my work e-mail account but want to add the other 3 group accounts but can't see a way?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have HTC mail set up to access my googlemail account and it is set to check every hour for new mail.
When the phone is rebooted everything seems to work fine but then after a while it appears that the phone will stop checking for emails on the hour.
If I go into mail it will retrieve them at that point but it should have picked them up several hours ago.
The problem only seems to have been occuring the past week or so but I cannot figure out why.
The only things that have changed are the OTA update and returning from holiday abroad but I cannot see how this would have affected things.
What are all the .mail files?
Do we need them?
I also have this problem that I can't view images placed in the email body. Is there any way to fix this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedHad my DHD for a week now, but haven't been able to receive or send MMS messages. That seems to include messages containing settings from T-mobile too. Tried my SIM in my old C905 and could send MMS message fine. The support lady from T-mobile said that I've got to take it to the T-mobile shop as it could be a hardware problem.
