My speaker isn't loud enough - when the phone is ringing/when in speaker in a phonecall / when listening to music. Same goes for the earpiece volume - and the volume is at the maximum level.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs it just my phone, I was just on the phone with someone that was on a landline, I noticed it was a little garbly (is that a word LOL) and a little hard to understand, almost like the beginning of each word was cutting off, I decided to put him on speaker phone so I can write stuff down and the phone call was now crystal clear. Anyone else notice that their speaker phone sounds better then if they are not on speaker phone?

Before rooting when I had my earpiece in - if I received a message or call then sound came only through the earpiece. Now it comes through the earpiece and the external speaker on the phone. Now, I took one of those MP3s and set it as my ring tone. I turned the ringtone volume all the way up and when I got a call, it's like half the volume as it played as an MP3.
Why do I lose so much volume? Is there any way to make that louder?
I want to replace my iphone in HTC phone and thought about the legend and i got some questions for the users of that phone cuz its hard to relay on an review without hear real experience by a real HTC user.
1. how is the phone generally?
2. how is the battery cuz in every site is different info
3. how is the loud speaker for talking not music listening
4. and in generally is it worth it or maybe to think to upgrade to desire?
5. and any usefull info will be welcome.
My wife has a Droid2 and when she uses the speaker phone function, things sound fine on her end, but for the caller on the other end, there is an unbearably loud noise of them speaking. For instance, when I call her and she has me on speaker, I can hear myself speaking super loud coming out of her phone. I can't even concentrate to get my sentence out. Has anyone else had this problem or heard of it? She is using a hard snap on case from Verizon as well, not sure if it could be the sound bouncing of that or something?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI got my phone today, but I'm having an issue with the earpiece speaker rattling. It makes a high pitched buzzing sound basically. Does anyone else have this problem? If I press on the grill covering the speaker it seems to go away. I'm planning on taking it to a Sprint store to compare.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy speaker buzzes all the time on my phone (not the speaker phone - it works fine). It's not a network buzz, it's a vibration buzz of the metal or speaker. The center camera is also off-center a little bit, which makes me think something up there is off-center, misglued or loose.
We have two other evos and neither of them buzz on the same call. I called the Sprint Nav Voice Address thing from all 3 phones since that would be the exact same voice and words every time. Only mine buzzes. The other two don't have the camera problem either.

Issue: Since updating to Froyo, I've had trouble with my earpiece - it seems to not have any sound at all when making calls - only when I'm turning 'speaker' on, when making calls can I hear anything at all. 'speaker' is rather prone to distortion whilst in use. But I'm more concerned about how I can't seem to get any sound to come out of my earpiece.
This seems to be directly following installation of Froyo - my phone definitely worked a day or two ago, prior to the update. I've tried to toggle the 'in call' volume up and down, but have had no joy - it's just silent. Haven't done any resetting as yet, but have powered off/removed battery.
I've seen a few threads which suggest possible hardware fault, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to how to verify this? Seems a bit of a coincidence that it's ... well, at least as best I can tell 'since froyo'.
Not as obvious as you might think. Hubby is deaf on one side, and is looking for a music/phone bluetooth headset.
I don't really mean a headset, i guess i mean an ear piece.
Probably going to be used mostly for music, so good controls and sound quality is most important.
I'm a brand new HTC Desire user, and on the advice of some friends I've installed Meridian media player and Audiomanager (among other apps, of course). The problem I have is that the minimum volume for media is still too loud for me while listening to music at work. Is there any way I could say, lower the overall volume of the phone? Secondly, what kind of app can people suggest as an equalizer for adjusting bass/treble etc?

Unfortunately though, the lowest media volume setting is too loud through my headphones. It's seems to be either a choice of no music (i.e media volume turned to zero) or the next level up (which is too loud). Is there anyway to get a volume in between the two? I've tried apps such as AudioManager but to no avail

This happens before i put the phone up to my ear so it is not my face that is turning on speaker phone. If i hold the phone in my hand and dial a number and press call, it goes to speaker phone. If the phone rings and i answer it, it will always go straight to speak phone.

Dumb ass, I'm using the inbuilt speaker on the phone. While for the most part, this is fine, I would like to increase the volume slightly. Obviously not enough to blow the speaker.
