DHD such a great phone, only let down low speaker volume.I hardly can hear phone in my pocket.
is the speakers equal to the HTC Desire? Or better? how can the phone ring louder when it is put in a bag? if it is already on maximum volume? does the SRS and Dolby Digital really have a difference? I'm seriously afraid of all those things before I buy a DHD
View 8 Replies View RelatedI use my Desire in the car quite a bit, and as I don't have a bluetooth hands free kit, my old one got smashed in the boot when I dropped a big tool box on it. Dumb ass, I'm using the inbuilt speaker on the phone. While for the most part, this is fine, I would like to increase the volume slightly. Obviously not enough to blow the speaker. I know there's an app/mod for the headphones volume, but what about the speakers volume? Anyway of increasing that?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm writing an Android application that plays back voice mails using Media Player, which are just WAV files that have been sent to the device. When I play the file, it's played on the device's speaker, or else it plays through headphones if they're plugged in. What I want to do is play the file so that it sounds to the user as if it's at the same volume level as a normal phone call. Is there a way to route playback so that the file is played through the phone's ear piece instead of out of the speaker?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a ADP1 that just developed a problem. The ear speaker volume is very low. My app does not adjust any volume, but I suspect that some other application is fiddling with it. Or, the unit is defective. (I've had it over a month, though.) First, is there a way to set the default volume of the phone? I couldn't find it. I've rebooted and even removed the battery to see if the default volume would come back. But, no luck. Notes: * The volume is turned all the way up. * Speaker volume is fine. * Bluetooth headset volume is fine

View 22 Replies View RelatedThe speaker is on the back of the phone, below the battery cover. When I hold the phone by its sides while watching a video, the speaker sound can sound tiny. But when I cup the back of the phone with my right hand, the volume is increased, possibly because the sound bounces off my hand.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm really not crazy about this phone after playing with it the other day at the at&t store. The earpiece speaker volume is VERY low. Reception drops like a cinder block, from holding it pretty much anywhere. Its pretty chuggy, and i'm not very confident about support from the community. that being said, there are a lot of nice things about the phone. Howerver, one thing it HAS to have, is HSUPA. I tried to do an upload test, but i couldnt find any sites that worked. And i didnt know if here was an app i could get, plus the market wasnt set up.

There are many, many great things about it from my early impression but what about you? What were you most pleasantly surprised about once you started playing with yours? For me I was very surprised at the quality and volume of the speaker. This thing sounds beautiful for one single speaker. Iphone's don't even get close to the beauty of this speaker. I was expecting it to sound tinny and dull but this thing is loud, full and vibrant. I know that I made the right purchase for sure.
View 13 Replies View Relatedany good methods for increasing the volume of my phone as it doesn't seem to be loud enough.
Mainly for my alarm clock and ringtone so that I don't miss calls or oversleep. I saw on the forum about speaker boost, but it doesn't seem to make a huge difference for me. I currently am using the LG optimus Pro
I've seen a few posts noting that the speaker volume was not loud enough even when turned all the way up. I'd like to get this phone and use the turn-by-turn GPS is this going to be a problem?
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I got my X, I love it all in all a much better phone that the original Droid (other than the lack of root thus far). Anyway, I have noticed that sometimes the audio from a call comes through the earpiece very low volume. Also when using the speakerphone feature (because it's hard to hear through the earpiece) I found that the caller on the other line can't hear me unless I yell into the phone! For a phone with 3 mics I'm not happy with these issues.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI could not find a specific thread about my question so i thought i would start one. is anyone else having the issue on their speaker that it gets distorted when the volume is high. plus i think the sound is not even that loud when its high. is this how the sprint htc hero is or do i need to get a new one?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI put some MP3s on my Inc and the audio player plays them fine and they're pretty loud coming out of the speaker.
Now, I took one of those MP3s and set it as my ring tone. I turned the ringtone volume all the way up and when I got a call, it's like half the volume as it played as an MP3.
Why do I lose so much volume? Is there any way to make that louder?
This is a different problem than the several threads that talk about low volume from the speaker. My normal speaker volume is adequate, except perhaps in a very noisy environment. But this is what is happening: At some point speaker volume will be normal and then later in the day I use an app that has sound, like YouTube or Google Maps navigation. The sound from the speaker is so low that I have to hold the speaker up to my ear to hear it, even in a very quiet room. Much lower volume than it usually is. I push the up volume rocker and it shows that Media Volume is already at the max. It is as if something muted the speaker, but not quite fully muted it because I could hear it by holding it to my ear.
The first time it happened, I had opened the YouTube app and played a video. The speaker volume was so low I had to hold the speaker to my ear. I plugged in some headphones to check whether the volume was normal there. It was. When I removed the headphones from the jack, the speaker volume returned back to normal................
Is there any app or anything to increase the call and speaker volume? They are well too quite. When I am outdoors I cannot hear my phone ring and cannot hear anyone on the phone. If there is no way around it, has there been any information released about this in v2.1?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had my desire a few weeks now. I have a problem with it.Every time i make a phone call or accept a phone call the phone will switch to speaker phone. This happens before i put the phone up to my ear so it is not my face that is turning on speaker phone. If i hold the phone in my hand and dial a number and press call, it goes to speaker phone. If the phone rings and i answer it, it will always go straight to speak phone.

My volume is high....the highest node, but still on a high street when I ring someone or someone rings me I find it hard hearing them (although at home the sound is not too bad). I didnt have this prob even on a cheap handset I was using previously....is the volume genuinely low or is it a prob with my handset?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI use in-ear headphones which usually perform at very high volume. That is to say, I have to put the volume very low on the phone for an optimal use.
However, my HTC Desire, even at the lowest possible volume, is still too loud for my fragile ears. Is there any way to fix this and change volume settings?
