And then it hangs up before I can answer it.What's with that? I can't see a setting to change how long the bloody thing rings for, either.I have a song from the sd card set as my ringtone, but it's about two minutes long so it can't be that.

My htc hero just started to act up with incoming calls. I hear the phone rings but the screen remains blank for a seconds before the caller's ID shows up. Can anyone help? Its annoying when the phones rings but cant pick up until the caller ID shows up much later.

It goes to voicemail far too early, but I cant see how to change it in settings at all.
Before I upgraded to Froyo my HTC Desire camcorder function worked fine.After the update it crashes after a few seconds of recording video. I have tried all the resolutions for record but they all crash the phone.I did read that sometimes formatting the SD card helps, but I have don't that and used a different SD card and the problem is still there.Any help greatly received.

It rings once at the receiver then cuts off so I was told.
I have plenty of signal and the person I'm calling can call me back after getting the one ring and wondering whats going on after the I've tried several times!
So I search alot on YouTube and love it. So when I get the desire going and Youtube on, it searches really quick, then I play it in normal and HD it only plays for 7 seconds.
Just one I thought so searched for a tune on youtube with a still picture but soundtrack, but still only 7 seconds.
After 7 seconds it seems to want to load the next part but nothing happens! Have I to change a setting?
My Incredible usually just rings once. If I pick it up, it says the person is still calling, but the phone isn't ringing. There's some setting about stop ringing when you pick it up. I do not have that set, so it should keep ringing to matter what.It is not consistent. Sometimes it just rings once.

I know its the highest setting but I should be able to record longer than this shouldn't I? I have 5.91 GB left of free space so just wondering if anyone has any ideas? The phone storage thats left is 1.01 GB. Could it be that its trying to save to the phone instead of the memory card, and if so how do I change that?
View 2 Replies View RelatedOccasionally, a couple times a month, my Moto Droid will ring, the phone app pops up... but there are no sliders to answer. It rings and rings, and about the time that it's going to go to VM, the sliders will finally appear. Sometimes I miss the call, other times I can get it. More often, it will ring, and either the phone app doesn't show up at all, or it shows up but then disappears (phone goes black). I have to manually unlock the phone (I have gesture security), and then I can usually get to it. if the phone has gone black, I fumble around with hitting the power button, shaking it (I have screebl), touching the screen and finally the gesture screen comes up. Kinda feels like multitasking/processor priority issues they haven't elegantly worked out yet, but I wanted to see if this sounded familiar. Any apps that make it so that when the phone rings, processor priority is handed to the phone? I don't see the app killing other apps, just downgrading their priority to (nearly) zero until you're done with your call, or even just until you have answered your call. The flaw is just in the answering part. When a call comes in, I want my *phone* to be super responsive to that *phone* part of things, y'know?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Droid Incredible will only ring once sometimes. I've tried custom ringtones, default ringtones, I made sure that it is not set to "Quiet on Pickup (or whatever)". It's not like it goes to voicemail or gets cut off, when I look at the screen, the caller is still there, waiting. I answer it and everything goes fine with the phone call. The problem is my work requires me to be on call alot, and if I don't hear my phone ring that first time, I may not get another ring. It typically only occurs when it is laying on a flat surface, face down but it doesn't happen everytime it is in this position. It used to happen less than once a day, it now happens more often. View 7 Replies View RelatedMy HTC is really slow! When I receive a new message it takes about 30seconds to even open it, then a further 30 or so to wait for the keyboard to respond. I have tried deleting the messages from my inbox and starting fresh, but am slightly cautious about just giving it a factory reset!
Also, when i am finished a phone call, as I take the phone away from my ear, it flashes on and off, meaning that I can't actually put the phone down! The only way to do it is to take the battery out of the back and start again!
Overall, I'm not very impressed with the phone, its supposed to be suitable for a businessman, but I can't even get it to work as a personal user!
We have 4 other people in the house with the same phone and none of them are experiencing these problems.
I got my Inc about 2 months ago and at first I thought this was just a fluke, but it's happening all the time. Basically, if my phone is sitting flat on my desk and I get a call, the phone will ring for about a second before going silent. It still vibrates and still wants me to answer the call, but the ringtones have stop.
I even experienced this today driving in to work. The phone was sitting on my leg when I got a call. Same problem. Rang for a second and then silent. If I am holding it or it's in my pocket, it seems to ring without any problems. That "silent ring on pickup" or whatever option in the settings is not selected and I don't believe I have any sort of app installed that controls the volume of the phone.
I've had the DroidX a couple of weeks. This morning it stopped ringing on incoming phone calls. It does vibrate. Last time it rang is when I was playing with settings to have it stop ringing when I place if face down. I've undone that facedown setting. Ringer is ON. I've cycled it on/vibrate/off and back ON. Silent Mode is OFF Phone Vibrate is OFF Audible touch tones is ON and I hear tones on phone keypad Volume is Audible.I can select and listen to my ringer tune.

But the problem I have is even when I set my phone to silent or vibrate it still has and audible ring. Email and other notifications are silent but the ring isnt. I use home++ and stock home and it does the same thing. I can set it to silent using the stock silent or using ringer widgets. I will try anything, Ive had way to many embarrassing moments with Chris Brown playing during quiet time.

Took it to work for the first time yesterday and had a great signal in my office too. I'm also getting H there most of the time, occasionally it drops to 3G but only for a few seconds then goes back to H. Internet browsing is fast and smooth.
So far so good then, I went downstairs however and noticed that I had no signal. How can it go from the strongest possible signal upstairs to no signal at all downstairs?
Just got a new Desire (ordered it ages ago but had to wait for the delivery with Super LCD) and sometimes, but not every time, I see that the battery drops anywhere between 7-9 percent moments after disconnecting the charger.
I'm curious whether anyone else has had this. Is this a calibration thing, or a problem with the phone, or the battery? Or an app? I'm using both Battery Indicator and JuicePlotter and they both show the same thing, the same drop. Curiously JuicePlotter tells me the drop sometimes occurs once or twice while charging in the night, too.
I'm a bit loathe to send it back to the shop after waiting well over 6 weeks for the thing in the first place, so I thought I'd check here first. I'm hoping it's just teething issues and will balance out in a few days. I got the phone about 4 days ago.
The default setting for this is 15 seconds, and i changed it to be 1 minute. Randomly it sets itself back to 15 seconds (maybe after powering phone off).

I brought both numbers over from T-Mobile where they each rang about 4 times but now w/Verizon mine went up to 6. Tried calling tech support about it and they said there wasn't a setting for this on the phone itself and they gave me an answer like some phones just tend to connect to the network faster.
View 15 Replies View RelatedSo when I get an incoming call, my droid-X rings instead of my car stereo. I have the car stereo set to ring, but it does not. So I constantly miss calls in my car to the point where I may as well not even have a bluetooth stereo. In California, we can't talk on the phone and drive so it's killing me that this does not work after investing money into the system.
Never had a problem on my blackberry. Basically if I have the stereo on, I'm not going to hear my phone ringing, I guess I could set it to auto answer (not sure if that works yet either) but I like to see the number from who is calling first on my CD Player's face.

View 4 Replies View RelatedYesterday (08/08/10) my X10 said there was a new update available and to download correctly I needed to connect it to a computer update through PC Companion 2.0. I did this and followed all the on screen instructions correctly. I got to the final stage and it asked me to disconnect the phone switch it off remove the battery, reinsert and then turn it back on again. The instructions said it may take awhile for the phone to come back on again because the phone will be updating. So far my phone has not come back on again after 24 hours of waiting, all that happens is the sony ericsson logo is displayed for about 10 seconds and then the phone turns off then the same process is repeated. Any ideas whats happened or what I can do to fix this or will it be a job for Sony? I have emailed them but of course they were absolutly no help what so ever.

However, when I call my wife's eris it rings six to seven times before sending to voicemail.My phone is on v3 leak and my wifes is a stock 1.5.This is really frustrating because it already takes at least two rings from the other end before my phone even acknowledges someone is calling...and yes i've changed my slot cycle down to zero...so by the time it starts ringing the ringtone only lasts about five to ten secs.not enough time at all to even try to answer.
