Before I upgraded to Froyo my HTC Desire camcorder function worked fine.After the update it crashes after a few seconds of recording video. I have tried all the resolutions for record but they all crash the phone.I did read that sometimes formatting the SD card helps, but I have don't that and used a different SD card and the problem is still there.Any help greatly received.

So I search alot on YouTube and love it. So when I get the desire going and Youtube on, it searches really quick, then I play it in normal and HD it only plays for 7 seconds.
Just one I thought so searched for a tune on youtube with a still picture but soundtrack, but still only 7 seconds.
After 7 seconds it seems to want to load the next part but nothing happens! Have I to change a setting?
When I want to record a video its saying I can record for about 1 minute 20 seconds. This is on HD 720p quality. I know its the highest setting but I should be able to record longer than this shouldn't I? I have 5.91 GB left of free space so just wondering if anyone has any ideas? The phone storage thats left is 1.01 GB. Could it be that its trying to save to the phone instead of the memory card, and if so how do I change that?

Currently I am running CM 5.0.6-N1 as when I updated to CM 5.0.8-N1 the stable version, I was seeing the phone reset each time I tried to record a video.
Has anyone else seen this issue? Is there a fix? Do I need to do a wipe to get this to work?
When I plays video recorded on my X10mini, about 5 second at the beginning it displays black. But I can hear the sound.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI current have the latest YouTube app on my tablet and phone (Nexus 10 and 4) and for some strange reason, after the recent upgrade to 4.4.11 of the app, YouTube would crash everytime I try to watch any video. Attempts to clean cache/data and revert to older version of the app were unsuccessful too although it would not crash.
I must also mention that my YouTube account was banned some time ago due to some lame reason with a few foreign variety show video clips I posted being reported. Long story short, I was able to still watch YouTube clips previously with the app, without being successfully signed in. Both of my devices are on stock 4.2.2 with custom kernel and rooted of course.
Last night i was recording a video and got a call, i did not take but the video stopped, is ther a way not to take it and keep recording? thanks 4 ur time.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy HTC is really slow! When I receive a new message it takes about 30seconds to even open it, then a further 30 or so to wait for the keyboard to respond. I have tried deleting the messages from my inbox and starting fresh, but am slightly cautious about just giving it a factory reset!
Also, when i am finished a phone call, as I take the phone away from my ear, it flashes on and off, meaning that I can't actually put the phone down! The only way to do it is to take the battery out of the back and start again!
Overall, I'm not very impressed with the phone, its supposed to be suitable for a businessman, but I can't even get it to work as a personal user!
We have 4 other people in the house with the same phone and none of them are experiencing these problems.
My new Desire was delivered Monday evening. It is on the 3 network. Have a great signal at home - H.
Took it to work for the first time yesterday and had a great signal in my office too. I'm also getting H there most of the time, occasionally it drops to 3G but only for a few seconds then goes back to H. Internet browsing is fast and smooth.
So far so good then, I went downstairs however and noticed that I had no signal. How can it go from the strongest possible signal upstairs to no signal at all downstairs?
Just got a new Desire (ordered it ages ago but had to wait for the delivery with Super LCD) and sometimes, but not every time, I see that the battery drops anywhere between 7-9 percent moments after disconnecting the charger.
I'm curious whether anyone else has had this. Is this a calibration thing, or a problem with the phone, or the battery? Or an app? I'm using both Battery Indicator and JuicePlotter and they both show the same thing, the same drop. Curiously JuicePlotter tells me the drop sometimes occurs once or twice while charging in the night, too.
I'm a bit loathe to send it back to the shop after waiting well over 6 weeks for the thing in the first place, so I thought I'd check here first. I'm hoping it's just teething issues and will balance out in a few days. I got the phone about 4 days ago.
The default setting for this is 15 seconds, and i changed it to be 1 minute. Randomly it sets itself back to 15 seconds (maybe after powering phone off).

View 12 Replies View RelatedYesterday (08/08/10) my X10 said there was a new update available and to download correctly I needed to connect it to a computer update through PC Companion 2.0. I did this and followed all the on screen instructions correctly. I got to the final stage and it asked me to disconnect the phone switch it off remove the battery, reinsert and then turn it back on again. The instructions said it may take awhile for the phone to come back on again because the phone will be updating. So far my phone has not come back on again after 24 hours of waiting, all that happens is the sony ericsson logo is displayed for about 10 seconds and then the phone turns off then the same process is repeated. Any ideas whats happened or what I can do to fix this or will it be a job for Sony? I have emailed them but of course they were absolutly no help what so ever.

Unplugging the cable does not help, all I can do is force close the computer with the power switch.

I'm trying to understand remote services at the moment and everything works fine, i can start the service and know how to communicate with it through the AIDL-interface. My problem is that the service seems to still run in the same process like the activity it was started from, because the activity crashes too, if there is an error thrown in the Service.
I set the service process to remote ( android:process=":remote" ) so what am i doing wrong? Or what do i have to do to unbind the service-process completely from the activity-process?
Okay, 2nd day with this great phone. I have loaded a video onto it with no problem [into the media folder] but how do I watch it? Is there a video player on here, if so where? Is there a file manager? If so where? If not, can I get one?

Even when i do a search on my phone find it comes up with nothing. I cant even find a video player in which to look for them. View 2 Replies View RelatedI can install and run HTC Sync on my laptop okay. I can even sync my Desire no problem. Trouble is, while I have HTC Sync on my laptop, Windows Explorer will not work. It shuts down and then tries unsuccessfully to restart. Doing a system restore to remove HTC Sync cures the problem. Anyone else having these problems? Any ideas how to fix it. I am running Windows 7 (32 bit).

I cant get on the sky sports website at all just freezes on the google search and then I try and get on the bbc sport page which works fine but when I go on the live cricket text it crashes and quits the internet. I never had a problem with either before 2.2! I have tried on the default browser and also dolphin but neither work. Are there any settings I should change since installing 2.2 or is it just a case of 2.2 update screwing things up? My friend in the office at work is on orange with 2.2 and it works fine for him.

All other programs seem to be able to connect via h/3G fine i.e. Market, Opera Mini, GMail etc...

And none would open. The little green bar gets stuck about 3mm in. I have a H showing in the status bar. When I first loaded the browsed and went to HTC - Mobile Phones, Smartphones, Cell Phones, PDAs this worked fine. However, this has also stopped loading as I type. EDIT: ww.htc.com now working (3 minutes later), Google is working, but still none of the above mentioned sites..
I am in Manchester UK and am on 3. I have been on 3 for quite a few years and have never had a problem with connecting in Manchester. I don't think it is a carrier problem as I am able to connect to the internet with other programs as already mentioned. Also, all the above mentioned sites open fine when I use WiFi.
It was mentioned on the other thread that someone has informed 3UK of the problem and they have informed HTC, but if any other people are having the same problem please detail it here and inform your carrier and HTC.
